Wednesday afternoon I got a call from Deanna offering me the job. She wanted me to go in for a few hours on Thursday afternoon for paperwork and training, and then to attend a banks’
Client Appreciation Party on Friday night to shadow her. I was beyond excited to be taking this step in planting roots in my new hometown. I texted John my news, and that I would be cooking an extra special meal to celebrate tonight.
He got back to me an hour later, not too unusual a response time while at the hospital. He mentioned that he would have a guest for dinner, which seemed a bit odd but I was up for anything. I grocery shopped in the neighborhood, enjoying time out in the heat. After putting things away and some quick prep I decided to enjoy the sun and my little beach.
