Chapter Twenty Nine
I spent a few hours at ‘The Scene’ office, learning the ropes and researching. Brandy and Kyle were very friendly co-workers, opinionated and full of advice as each of them had started out in my role. Brandy and I got along quite well, and she ended up inviting me out to dinner afterwards, knowing I was newish to town. She brought me to a renowned sushi place, as the city was inundated with them and it was tough to know where to go.
Brandy was a year older than me and had a hard time believing I was married. I didn’t dare say anything about the circumstances, but that we had known each other almost a year, that sounded like a reasonable time I thought.
