3rd Person POV
Zachariah ate quietly in the corner as 2 waiters walked into the bakery, they were wearing aprons and the girl had her hair up in a bun. The guy had long hair that curled at his ear but he wore a cap over his head covering it.
"Rose! You opened up early?!" the girl yelled as she turned to look at Rose.
The guy ignored the loud girl and walked toward the kitchen, obliviously not giving a damn that Rose had opened the shop early without telling them.
"Sorry, Lacey, there were just so many people waiting and I was already up so I-", Rose spoke quickly hugging the girl, Lacey.
"Whatever", Lacey sighed, interrupting Rose, "just tell me next time". Rose grinned and nodded her head before walking back to the counter.
After the morning rush was over in the shop, Zachariah had left to start work and slowly the customers left one by one.
Roses' POV
After that intimidating man left the shop slowly emptied out as people started heading for work. I sat down resting my feet before walking outside breathing in fresh air.
When night came it was time for me to close up. I had a back entrance to my house, so even though the shop was the first floor, if you walked around the block you would see my house.
After packing everything away and washing all the dishes, I walked out the shop door.
Suddenly I felt a hard, cold object pressing against my neck.
I tuned around to see what it was, and my blood ran cold.
My breath caught in the back of my throat as I turned to face a gun.
The man was wearing a mask and gloves as he pushed me back into the bakery.
"Listen Rosaria, I won't hurt you if you help me, I promise", the man said slowly.
I nodded my head tears already streaming down my face. This man new my full name, only Lacey and Sebastián new my full name.
"Aww, Rose, please don't cry, I really won't hurt you", he said rubbing my tears of my face. He came in closer our faces inches apart. He looked me in my eyes before kissing my cheek. I felt my stomach twist in knots.
"P-please, w-what do you w-want? Is it m-money?" I asked, fear welling in my stomach.
"No, Rose, I just want you to help me with something." he said nonchalantly. “Let’s go upstairs so I can show you."
He pushed me toward the back of the bakery. I didn't like going here, it was kind of creepy. He opened the roof where the stairs were. I know, it's almost as if I live in the attic, but actually the bakery is basically in the basement.
We walked up the stairs and into the bathroom.
As we walked in he locked the door putting the key in his pocket.
He took of his black hoodie and was left with a white t-shirt, he took his mask off too so I could see his face.
His t-shirt was red, full of blood by his abdomen, he took the t-shirt off too giving me the full view of six pack.
"Rose, can you please, bandage this for me?" he asked, I could tell he was desperate and I could see the pain on his face.
"Of course", I replied. I was never one to turn anyone down, especially if they really needed help.
I reached for the medicine box in the drawer of the bathroom and took out the antiseptic, the bandages some alcohol and a needle with stitching thread just in case he needed stitches.
I examined his wound; it was really deep and would need about 6 stitches.
"Okay, you're gonna need stitches but I don't have anything that can numb the pain, so I'll give you a belt to bite down on" I said quietly.
"Thank you, Rose", he murmured, not looking at me.
After I cleaned his would, stitched him up and bandaged it, I recommended he got to the hospital.
As I was walking to get him a change of clothes there was a knock at the front door.
