The last few months of senior year passed by fast. Makaylah got into Harvard Law, Aaron got into Juilliard. We were all going to be in New York together. We all decided to get an apartment together. I had to leave at the beginning of summer because of the internship and Makaylah decided to come with me. Aaron said that he would meet up with us at the end of the summer. He wanted to spend some more time Jennifer and dad. Things were great. Before Makaylah and I left we had to promise to our parents to come back the first week of summer every year no matter what. Even though we see them every holiday.
One Year Later...
It’s the first week of summer and Aaron, Makaylah, and I are going back home. We were all happy to see are families again, but the flight was so tiring. As we pulled up, we all saw our parents. We got out and gave each other hugs. They helped us unload our backs for the week. Then we all sat down in the Livingroom of the house Aaron and I grew up in.
“So, how have you guys been? Anyone come into your lives yet?” Barb asked.
She has been wanting us to date and find our soulmates and spend the rest of our lives with them. I just finish training, Makaylah finished her first year at Harvard law, it’s a lot harder than she thought be she is making it, and Aaron just finished his first year at Juilliard. But of course, it was Aaron who answered Barb,
“No Barb I have not found my soulmate yet, and Makaylah well she has a boyfriend, a-”
“Actually, we broke up Aaron”
“Oh, sorry to hear that Makaylah. But you should know Aren found her soulmate.” Aaron said winking at me.
“Aaron” I groaned “he is not my soulmate shut up.”
“Tell us everything,” Barb said getting comfortable.
Dad just looked uncomfortable talking about his kid's love life.
“Okay fine his name is Dylan....”
FLASHBACK
Today was my first day of training and after a really long chat are trainer paired us up with people who match our skill sets. I look over at the person I'm supposed to fight. He is about 6’2 and a half with perfect black curls.
“I’m Dylan, ready to lose?” He asks with a cocky smirk.
“I’m Aren and not a chance”
Then we begin to start our fight.
END OF FLASHBACK
“I ended up betting him and then he asked me to marry him,” I say laughing “he tried covering up with a laugh. We went out a bit after and have been dating since.”
I cut it short not wanting to answer questions. I look over at Makaylah and see that she is looking at something. I move to see what she is looking at and find out it’s my brother, and he is looking back. Yep, they're going to end up dating, I say to myself.
This week with my family was amazing, but the time passed, and it was time to fly back to New York. As we were on the plane, I look over to see Makaylah and Aaron both sleeping, but they were holding hands with Makaylah's head on his shoulder. I couldn’t be happier for them. I feel as though they were meant to be. They haven’t told me yet, but I knew as soon as Aaron asked her to be his girlfriend. Call it twin tuition. Now I just have to wait for them to tell me so I can tell them how happy I am that they finally found each other in this different relationship way and that if Aaron breaks my besties heart, I'm going to break his face. Life just feels so right, I don’t think anything can change that right now.
