Chapter 2

546 Words
School was long and boring, I'm sure you know the feeling. The sun was hot now, it was that time of year. I stuffed my leather jacket into my bag and rolled the sleeves of my shirt up as I walked to the tree Pony, Johnny and I met by. Johnny was already there. "Hi Johnny." I said as I approached him. "Hi, Asha." He replied with a little smile on his face. Before I could turn around some screamed, "BOO!" in my ear. It was only Ponyboy. I screamed, I'm really jumpy, I hit Pony on his arm. "Jesus Pone! You scared me to death!" He was laughing. And he didn't stop laughing until we got the the Curtis'. It was actually quite funny, the fact he couldn't stop laughing, not the fact he almost gave me a heart attack. We walked in and saw most of the gang there, apart from Soda, Steve and Darry, they were probably all still at work. I walked through to the kitchen and grabbed some chocolate cake, I hadn't eaten all day. I walked back through to the living room and jumped onto the sofa next to Twobit. "Hey Ash!" He shouted, even though I was right next to him. I hit him. I hate it when people call me Ash, he knows that, it doesn't suit me. "Hi Keith." I shot back with annoyance in my voice. "Alright, alright I get you don't like it." I nodded and before I could say thank you Dally came and sat next to me. "Hey baby." He said, I don't know why he always called me baby. I mean I know we were dating (have I told you that yet?) and all but still... I smiled at him and kissed him, on the cheek. "Ew!" Twobit screamed as he shot up from his seat. "Go get a room!" Me and Dally started to laugh. We knew he hated any type of emotions, especially if it was Dally. I nodded to Dally, our signal to make out, and yes, you've probably guessed it, we started making out. I could hear Twobit grimacing in the background. After a few minutes we decided to stop. Twobit had already thrown a blanket over us, I guess that way it looks better - to him only, probably. Me and Dally looked at each other and laughed. He mouthed 'I love you, Asha Thomas' I smiled and bit the corner of my lip. He rarely says 'I love you' out loud because he has a reputation to keep, I get that. Sometimes it annoys me but it makes it special when he does, occasionally, say it. I mouthed back, 'I love you too, Dallas Winston.' We started to laugh again as we pulled the blanket off of us. Two was sat in the corner. "You two done or..?" He said. "Yeah we done." I quickly replied. "For now...." Dally whispered in my ear. I laughed and Twobit gave me the evils. Right then Soda and Steve barged through the door laughing, only God knows what about. Usually it was about some girl who came into the DX. And that's how we spent our evening; talking, laughing and, occasionally, me making out with Dally to annoy Two.
