Chapter 8

"Oh my god, Ashley." Amy Jones was talking to her best friend, Ashley on the phone. "I know right? He is such a d**k", Amy said. There was a knock on her door. "Hold on Ashley. Someone's knocking on the door." She stood up and went towards the door. She opened the door and gasped. A boy with a hoodie over his head, wearing a skull mask took out a handkerchief covered with knock-out drops and held it on her nose. Amy went unconscious. The skull dude put Amy inside that small suffocating room which can only be opened from the outside. He left her to die. Twenty four hours earlier. Mason opened the door to his room and saw his mother glaring at him. "Mom. What's wrong?" Mason asked. His mother took out a cocaine packet, "what's this?" She asked. Uh oh. "Mom", Mason started. "It's not what you think", he said. "Oh it is what I think", she said through gritted teeth. "Mom I-" "What the hell were you thinking?" His mother screamed. "When did you start this Mason?" She asked in a soft voice, tears in her eyes. "Look mom-" Mason started. "Answer the damn question", his mom demanded. "Two years ago", Mason blurted out. "Two-" his mom sighed. She started rubbing her forehead. "Mom I won't use it again, I swear!" Mason stumbled out the words. She ignored Mason and kept looking at the floor, rubbing her forehead. Normal parents would ground the children for this. But "peculiar" Mrs. Norman on the other hand, has something else in her mind. "Get out", she suddenly muttered. "Mom look I can exp-" Mason was interrupted by his mother's angry shout, "get out of this house now!!" If only Mr. Norman was alive. He could have stopped this. Mason went downstairs, and stopped at the front door. "I hope she makes up her mind soon", he thought, sadly. He withdrew the money from the bank and went over to Mr. Pope's house. He knocked on the front door. Mr. Pope opened it. "You have it?" He asked. Mason nodded. He handed him the money and left. "Hey!" Mr. Pope called. Mason turned around. "I'm sorry about uhh.... your friend...... Jeff right?" "Yeah", Mason replied, "and I'm sorry about your son" he said, although he didn't mean it. Mason sighed. "Well" Anna said. "I guess your problem is solved, right?" She asked. "Yeah. But not all of them." "So who's next?" Mason was surprised that he was asking that question. Killing Jason felt so good. Anna smiled, "so you still remember about our little secret". Anna turned to look at him. "Amy," she said in a whisper. "Amy Jones". Mason went over to Amy's house. He rang the doorbell. Amy Jones live by herself and her parents visit her every weekend. Her parents said Amy needs to "do stuff on her own". She opened the door. "Mason, what are you doing here?" She asked. "I need a place to crash", Mason smiled at her.
