Mason arrived home, tears in his eyes. He walked right into his room, ignoring his mother's calls. He slammed the door shut and locked it.
"Mason...... I'm so sorry", Anna whispered. "I lost Dorky because of him. Now Jeff." Mason said, his voice shivering. Mason needed to find this Thomas guy.
There was a knock on the front door. It was Mr. Porter. Mrs. Norman opened the door. "Hello, James."
"Hi Ariyana." He kissed her on the lips. Mrs. Norman chuckled, "Is Sasha annoying you again?" She asked.
"No. I just missed you", Mr. Porter kissed her again. "James, stop it. Mason is here. You don't want him to know right?" Mrs. Norman asked, grinning.
"So you will come to the gathering, right?" Mr. Porter asked. "What?!", Mrs. Norman was confused, "they said it's cancelled".
"No. Its not! They might not just want you coming", Mr. Porter said. "Well, in that case, no one is having any gathering without me", she smiled, evilly.
Mason left his home. He didn't know what Mr. Porter was doing there. He didn't even want to know. He went to the old toy shop, on his bike. The sign said "Steady Toys", whatever that meant.
He entered the shop. There was a man sitting on a chair behind the counter. Mason went over to him. "Are you Thomas?" He asked.
The man just shook his head and stood up. He unlocked the door behind him. He gestured Mason to enter the room. He didn't talk at all.
Mason went inside the room. The room was dimly lit. He heard the door shut behind him. "Hello?" He called out. "You must be Mason", a raspy voice startled him.
A skinny figure came in front of him. "Are you Thomas?" Mason asked.
"Yeah. I already know what to do. Jeff told me. I have already hacked into some people's accounts. All I need is your account number. I can transfer the money there." Thomas said.
Can Mason trust this guy? He was willing to risk whatever it takes. If Jeff trusted this scrawny dude, so can Mason. He gave Thomas his account number.
"Thank you all for coming to this gathering", Mrs. Harmon started. "We are here to-" a door slamming loud, interrupted her. "Ariyana!" Mrs. Harmon was shocked. She looked at her butler. "I did" Scoffman mouthed the words.
"Oh, don't start this damn party without me. I'm very important", Mrs. Norman said sarcastically. She looked at Mr. Porter. He smiled at her.
"Leave this house now!" Mr. Harmon shouted. "Ok" Mrs. Harmon took a wine bottle. "Ok. I'm leaving." She said. "But wait." She stopped.
She went over to Mrs. Harmon, who was at the head of the table. She opened the cap of the wine bottle, and spilled it all over Mrs. Harmon. From head to bottom. Mr. Harmon quickly hurried over to his wife. Mrs. Norman walked away. "Thanks for not inviting me!" She called out before she slammed the front door shut.
"Well that was fun", Mrs. Harmon thought as she cleaned Mason's room. It had been four months since Mason didn't clean his room. His mother begged him to clean it but he says he got "more busy stuff to do". She had enough of it now. If Mason doesn't want to clean it, she will.
She noticed that one of the cupboards was open, just a little bit. Mason always kept that locked. And the key was always with him. She opened the cupboard to clean it, and gasped.
Mason returned home, feeling a bit relieved. The headache of owing to the Serpents is now gone. He just needed to withdraw the money and it will be all over.
Mason went inside his room. He saw his mother glaring at him. "Mom, what's wrong?" Mason asked.
"Mason," she said, and took out a cocaine packet, "can you tell me what this is doing in your cupboard?"
