Anna

The Date

Mason recalled everything that Jason has done to Anna.

It was a school day. Mason and Anna was walking in the hallway, heading for their first class. Maths. Anna opened her locker room and looked for her Maths book. Mason suddenly nudged her arm.

"Is that who I think he is?" Mason asked with excitement in his voice. Anna looked at his direction. Before she could say anything, Mason called out to his DJ buddy. "Dorky!" Well that was what his friends called him. His real name is Drake. Dorky turned around and saw Mason. Dorky went up to them, his silver necklace chain dangling. "Yo wassup my man", Dorky said. "So you are studying here?" Mason asked, doing a handshake with him. "Yeah man. My parents told me to start studying here. They said that this is a great place. Never thought I'd see a familiar face", Dorky said.

"Who's this? Your girlfriend?" Dorky asked Mason, seeing Anna. "No", they both replied at once. "We are just best friends", Mason said. "Ah. I see. You know what they say. A boy and a girl cannot- " before Dorky could say anything, Mason kicked his leg. "Ow!"

Anna laughed. "We are just friends ok? No one asked for your opinion", Mason grinned.

Anna went off to the direction where Jason stood. As soon as she was out of sight, Mason asked Dorky, "Do you have weed?"

"No, I have rubber bands instead", Dorky said. Mason stared blankly at him. "You know your sarcasm sucks right?" He asked. "Yeah I do. Here you go", Dorky handed him some weed, without anyone noticing.

"Hi", Anna said. Jason looked at her. "Hey. So lemme guess. You saw me looking at you and you came here to ask me what my problem is? Jason asked. Anna giggled, "No". Jason let out a sigh of relief. "Well in that case, would you go out with me tonight?"

"Wow. That was fast", Anna laughed. "So what's your answer?" Jason asked. "Ok. I would go out with you tonight", Anna replied. "Cool. I'll pick you up at your house then," Jason said. "Ok. I'll give you my address".

In Maths class, Anna wrote her address on a piece of paper. "What's this? You and Jason gonna have a fun time tonight?" Mason teased. "Ha! Just shut up Mason", Anna said. She folded the paper. "Mmmmmm. Nice folding. So accurate," Mason chuckled. She gave him the "I'm gonna kill you" look.

When the class was over, Anna slipped the note inside Jason's pocket without him even noticing it. When he saw Anna, he called out to her. "Address!" Anna just looked back at him and winked. Then she hurried towards the exit.

Back in his home, Jason took out a cigarette and fumbled for the lighter in his pocket. Thats when he touched it. He took the paper out and unfolded it. "Clever girl" , he smiled. "But not clever enough"

Jason picked up Anna at nine, just like they agreed. They drove off to Pizza Planet in Jason's car.

While they were eating, Anna got a text message. It was from Mason. "Have a wonderful night with Jason, but not too much"

"Ha ha" she replied the text. "So, do you like spicy pizza", Jason asked, looking at the menu. "Sure. I love spicy stuff", Anna said.

They had a fun time at Pizza Planet. "Say, why won't you come over and stay in my house for the night?" Jason asked. "My mom would get worried", Anna said. "Oh come on Anna. Just tonight. You can come up with an excuse tomorrow right?" Anna thought for a moment, then nodded.

Jason got up from the bed, put his jeans on and looked for his phone. Anna was still sleeping on his bed. Perfect. He finally found his phone on the top of his dresser drawer. He took it and gently lifted the blanket off of Anna, careful not to wake her up. He opened camera on his phone and took some photos.

The next day, in school, Mason can't just stop teasing Anna. "So you did have a really really good time", he laughed at his own jokes. That day, Dorky didn't come to school. He said he was sick, but Mason knew it was a lie.

Anna saw Jason and she smiled at him. Jason frowned and ignored her. Anna was confused. "Well something tells me he didn't enjoy last night", Mason said. They sat down in class.

It was history class. The teacher didn't arrive yet. Suddenly, everyone started getting text messages. One by one. They all looked up at Anna in disgust. What did she do?

"Anna. What's happening?" Mason asked. "I was about to ask the same question", she replied. Mason's phone buzzed. He opened his phone and gasped. "Mason. What is it?" Anna asked. Mason quickly hid his phone. "Nothing". Everyone except Anna got the text.

"Mason give me that". Anna snatched his phone and looked at the screen. Her heart skipped a beat. She saw a picture of herself, lying naked on Jason's bed. She dropped Mason's phone. She looked at Jason. Jason just smiled at her. A menacing smile. She marched out of the classroom hand over her mouth. "Anna", Mason called out to her, after picking up his phone.

He followed her. "Anna, wait!" Anna stopped walking. They were in the hallway. Alone.

She was crying heavily. Mason hugged her. He rubbed his hand on her back. He can feel her body heaving up and down rapidly. He waited until the class had finished.

When the class finished, Jason went to his locker room laughing with his friends. "Hey, you got a cigarette?" One of his friends asked. Then, out of nowhere, Mason came up and punched Jason hard, in the face. "You son of a b***h!" Mason shouted. "Hey!" His friends shouted and started beating up Mason. Jason laughed at him while he was getting beaten up. Jason kicked Mason's side really hard.

Blood came out of Mason's mouth. "Break it up!" Some of the students shouted. Others were watching and filming the action.

"Ok that's enough", Jason said. He spat on Mason and his gang followed him to the exit.

"Now is the time for payback", Mason thought as he stood in front of Jason's house.
