Alex secretly felt jealous at the happy meeting of the two. He and Aldrin almost entered at the same time, but he let his brother go ahead.
He saw the sparkle in Vionne's eyes. It felt like his heart was being twisted. He had never seen his wife so happy with him. Alex calmed himself and coughed a bit, pretending to ignore what he saw.
"Aldrin, how are you?" Alex asked as soon as he saw the two separate. Vionne glanced at him and distanced herself slightly from Aldrin.
She was nervous that his husband might get angry. She was afraid that she was seen by Alex hugging his brother.
"I'm okay. Surprisingly, you're early today," Aldrin remarked. He knew Alex often worked late.
"It's Friday, and I was planning to ask my wife out on a date," Alex said with a smile.
