*Warning violence*
The last day of the gathering was here. Axel had finally gotten some sleep. So much so that she had missed breakfast. She made her way to lunch and met Sloane.
“You look way better, Ax.”
She nodded, “I feel better. Sorry about yesterday. That Omega was being disrespectful toward my mate and myself. Not that that’s a good reason.”
He smiled, “your mate explained everything. He was very proud of you.”
Her breath hitched. “He told you that.”
“Oh the big scary Alpha is smitten.”
She smirked, “your lucky I like you. You’re a good friend, Sloane. Your mate will love you.”
He touched her hand as thanks, but pulled it back when he heard the growl. Axel and Sloane turned to see where it came from. They laughed and resumed eating.
“Will you meet me before the dance? I have the rogue information and if we play it right might get the Alpha meeting to remove Tristan.”
He smiled, “I’ll bring Beta Violet with me. Do you want your mate there?”
Axel rubbed her neck, “no my mate should stay away from me until afterwards. I don’t know how my wolf will react if I have him there. I would suggest eating before. We won’t make it to the dinner.”
Sloane nodded. “Who is the rogues target?”
“You.”

Three hours later, Axel was in her formal dress. She planned on taking it off before shifting. This way she wouldn’t be late in meeting her mate. Sloane and Violet were at the hill next to the woods entrance. She sniffed the air and noticed her mate had not followed her. She did however notice the stench of rogues.
“Axel. Are you?”
Axel was breathing heavy and felt incredibly warm. There was no way her body was choosing now to go into heat. This was not good. The rogues would smell it. They were not strong willed wolves. Her wolf was fusing with her human form to relieve some of the pressure. Her fangs were out, her claws elongated and eyes started to glow.
“s**t, Alpha Axelia. You are in heat. You need to get out of here.”
She shook her head. They all stopped when a few wolves came from the woods. They began to sniff the air and that is when they all knew she couldn’t leave. They began to circle her. Her wolf purred at the chance to kill. It was honestly a m******e.
The first wolf came toward her while weaving in and out. She readied her stance and as they moved forward she slid and sliced down his stomach with her claws. The other wolves descended upon her. If the term rapid had a picture in the dictionary it would be Axelia. She had torn the throats of two wolves at the same time. They had approached from left and right. She flipped in the air and grabbed their necks and sliced through. One wolf was left. She approached the wolf slowly. She suddenly sped up and was behind him in a matter of seconds. She hit him so hard that he hit a tree and you heard a sickening crack as he collided with the ground.
“Do you have this Alpha?”
Sloane looked up in awe, “maybe you should wait to see your mate.”
She growled, “listen. Sloane, I respect you. We are friends. I am also so grateful for you being Emilia’s previous Alpha, but if you stop me right now. I don’t know what will happen.”
He nodded trying hard not to breath in her scent. Axel didn’t bother to look at herself before walking into the dance. All eyes shot to her as the door open. She didn’t realize through the haze, but she was covered in blood, but still looked sexy. She walked through and many heads bowed. She must had been radiating dominance, because no male dare approach her. She growled as she saw females near the smell of her mate. His ears perked and he began to sniff the air.
“Mate.” Her Alpha tone rang clear.
Everyone backed away except him. She was seeing him face to face for the first time. He had Carmel skin and black hair. Her eyes met his. They were a vibrant blue. As he continued to sniff the air, his eyes started to glow and his fangs kept his mouth from closing. She smelled other arousal and growled low again.
He stepped to her and grabbed her face. “Whoa, my love, there is no need for that. I’m yours. Eyes on me, my Alpha.”
She pushed into him and kissed him hard. Axel began to feel overheated. Her mate noticed the change, as well as other unmated wolves. He picked her up and raced to his cabin. He needed to get the blood off her before he could help her. He removed her clothes and tried not to breath in the arousal she was wafting. Her body was so hot to the touch and was making it hard for him to focus. He scrubbed her body, while trying to keep her comfortable. Axel had never felt heat like this before. She knew it was because of this man.
“What’s your name?” She sighed breathlessly.
He closed his eyes trying to remain in control. “Declan. No worries, Alpha I will help you.”
“Axelia.” She whispered almost too quite.
He took a deep breath. “Beautiful.”
Axel threw her head back in pain. “Why does it feel like this?”
Declan whispered not to overwhelm her senses, “this my fault love. I shouldn’t have touched you without marking you.”
She sighed. Her lips were swollen. “Please make it stop.”
“How did this blood get all over you?” His concern made her bear opening her eyes.
She mumbled, “rogues after Sloane.”
“That’s why you wanted me away? I could of helped.”
“You could help me now.”
