Transformation

Anna “What the f*ck is going on here?” I growled, the rage building in me from the moment I saw Gabrielle’s location went up a notch, making my face twist up in a scowl as I stared at them both, literally feeling my blood and veins boil. “Uhm… Anna, I promise you it's not what it looks like,” Gabrielle stuttered. “Oh… no… no… no now, b***h, it's exactly what it looks like, f*cking my fiancé, really?” I growled. “Come on now, Anna, don’t tell me you’re going to pull up that stunt you pulled years ago over a last night of fun for a bachelor? Please, now is not the time to act like a loose dog,” Casper’s voice came like a bomb in my chest. “What?” I said in a whisper, with disbelief in my voice. “Casper?!” Gabrielle yelled, pulling the sheets to cover herself up before turning her gaze to meet mine. “Look, Anna, I know what this looks like, but honestly, I just came here to…” she tried to speak, but I was too hot to listen to any crap she had to say at this point. “To get a taste of my fiancé right before he says ‘I do’ to me, huh?! I should have known you had something up your sleeves with those fake congratulations you kept spilling,” I fired at her, taking a step forward to where they sat. “Look, girl…. Uhm… I…” she stuttered. “You both think I'm some kind of pawn you can play with, huh? That you can just step on my toes and go scot-free? Huh!!” I yelled, slamming the door hard behind me. “Uhm…. Anna, what do you think you’re doing keeping me trapped in my own house, huh? I’m outta here,” Casper said, putting his pants on as he tried to excuse himself. But with the rage I was feeling at this point, I wasn't in the mood for anyone to leave the room, which made me give him a strong kick in his groin that shouldn’t have, but still sent him flying across the room. “Ahhh!!!” Gabrielle yelled in fear as she stared at me with widened eyes, but the look in her eyes only made the rage grow stronger. “Oh no, you can’t leave now, Casper, I still haven’t shown you how a dog behaves when it’s loose,” I spat at him with disgust in my voice as I watched him groan in pain on the ground. “Pl… pl… please, Anna, I… I have nothing to do with this, I swear,” she stuttered, forcing a lump down her throat which for some reason I could hear too clearly now. “Well, I’m sorry, b*tch, too late because you’re about to die!!” I snarled, and with that, I pounced on her, giving her several slaps and punches, and right after, I pressed a pillow to her face as I watched her struggle to catch her breath until it happened - she stopped moving. Stopped struggling. I took out the pillow only to find a pale Gabrielle lying on the bed, ice cold. “What the hell have you done!!” a thick voice yelled, shoving me off her body, making me fall to the ground towards the window, right into the moonlight, making me wince in pain, but just as I was about to stand up to retaliate, I felt my bones cracking all at once, making me scream in pain. “Arghhh!!” I yelled. “Really? You’re the one who just killed someone, and you're the one who’s screaming?” Casper fired at me with a sharp voice as he stared at me. “I can't believe my parents really wanted to force me into marrying you!!” he spat at me as he turned to Gabrielle’s lifeless body, raking his hair backwards in panic. “No… no… did you have to do this on my bed?!” he snarled. But even before I could speak, I felt a sharper and stronger crack in my bones, which came in more fiercely than the last, followed by the sprouting of hair from my skin. “What the hell is happening to me? What have you done to me, Casper!!” I yelled at the top of my voice. “Arggg,” I yelled again as the cracking and fur became plentiful. “What?! Me? Don’t blame whatever is happening to you on me?! Why does all of this have to happen on the f*cking day I sent all my workers home? Arrgghh!!” he sneered, slamming the bedside table in anger. “Please, Casper, you have to help me, I don't know what’s going on with me... Please…” I said. This time my voice was actually laced with fear as I tried to get on my feet, but the pain only got worse. “Help? Did I just hear you say help? You barged into my house, ruined the amazing s*x I was having…” he began. “What?” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. “Yes, Anna, come on now, did you really think I agreed to marry you because I loved you?” he spat at me. “I only agreed to this because my parents were being so greedy in robbing your father of his freaking wealth,” he blurted out. “What? Casper, we’ve been together for three f*****g years,” I sneered through gritted teeth. “Three years of lies, Anna. I never loved you, alright? There you have it, I never and would never love you, not in this life, not even in a substitute life if I was given one. You want to know why? Because you’re a f*king freak, cold-ass b*tch who certainly doesn’t deserve love from any man because at the end of the day, you’re just a spoiled brat, and now you’ve created a mess which I have to clean - F*CK!” he sneered. But at this point, I’d lost track of what he was saying from the point he began to make a list of the things that I was. My whole body became a freaking furnace of emotions listening to those words coupled with the excruciating pain I was feeling right now. “Oh, you’d want to know one more thing,” he continued, walking towards me as he held my chin high to meet his gaze. “A little cherry on top, is that… I never loved you because I can’t have myself trapped by a freak like you when there are a lot of fishes in the sea, Anna. There - there you have it. I’ve tried really hard to keep this part of me a secret because my parents thought it would ruin their chances of reaching their goal, but watching you murder an innocent girl over jealousy? I probably think your father should send you back to that rehab he dumped you in ten years ago. But right now, nothing’s more fun than watching Karma catch up with you so quickly,” he snarled, staring deeply into my eyes as he spat out those words without thinking twice. As I stared at him, all I could feel was anger, bitterness, pain, rage, but mostly pain, as it had just dawned on me that I'd murdered my best friend in cold blood. But it wasn’t my fault, was it? I mean this me, this broken me, this me filled with so much rage and anger, it wasn't my fault that ANNA HART was born this way. It wasn’t my fault that I can’t control it. It wasn’t my fault that everything usually goes south anytime Anna was involved. I’ve tried to find answers, tried to find solutions, but no one on this earth seems to know what's wrong with me, and now I'm here under the moonlight with something that is taking effect on me, and I don’t know why. I feel… I paused for a while, moving my gaze up to meet Casper, who by this time was already pacing the room in confusion. I feel cursed, and at this point, I truly can’t believe I was turning into a beast right in front of someone who’s supposed to be my fiancé, I thought, and with that, the final crack happened, followed by one of my hands becoming a claw as I stared at my own body in shock. “Wh.. what… what the hell... I probably should call the police right now!” he said. “No!” I screamed, and with that, I moved with speed, slamming him to the wall, which made him pass out, as I could somehow still hear his heartbeat. In a matter of minutes, I did something stupid. I arranged the crime scene to make it look like he did it - to make it look like Casper killed Gabrielle - before stumbling my way out through the window as my transformation became complete with only one thing on my mind - You’re cursed, Anna, you’re so cursed, I thought as I ran now on four legs, losing myself to the trees and fog in the woods.
