I heard the commotion in the kitchen but I couldn’t bring myself to move. I was happy and comfortable plus Alisa was asleep beside me. I couldn’t wake her. I just relaxed as I tried to remember what had happened to me. I never meant for this to happen. I never meant for them to find out about my wrist or to collapse like that. With a sigh I fell asleep once more. I new I needed it and I had to be up early the next day to go to work. The alarm went of causing me to magically shut it off. I slowly slipped away from Alisa as I quickly got ready for my office job. I packed up my stuff before leaving her a note. I quietly crept down to the kitchen to just about falling over the mess. I sighed not having the time to clean it up. With a snap of my fingers everything floated to there designated areas quietly. I wrote a quick not for Oliver as I cook a quick breakfast and grabbed the lasagna container from the fridge. The crisp morning air sent shivers up my spine as I walked to my car. She started with a roar as we pulled out of the drive and headed to work. It was weird going to that office during the day but do to some issue this week we had to open on a Saturday. I wish I could have called in as I started to feel dizzy again. I know I needed to sleep more but I couldn’t. I will call in for my graveyard McDonalds shift tonight. “Hey girl, you okay?” My friend asked. She looked at me as I was trying to rub my temples. I weakly smiled at her and she knew right away. “You collapsed last night didn’t you.” “Ella,” I spoke worried someone would hear her. “You need to head right back home. Why did Oliver let you out? No way am I letting you sit here and work.” She spoke crossing her arms over her chest. “Ella I need this job. It pays more then any of the others. I am going to call in sick for McDonalds tonight.” I told her trying to walk past. “You are calling them right now.” She spoke angrily. I just shook my head. I needed to get in and get stuff prepped for Rosco before he got here. I knew he was going to be a grump today. “I will on my break. I am late and I need to get things going before he gets here.” I spoke but she wouldn’t let me pass. I sighed as I carefully pulled out my phone. My wrist hurt more after what happened early morning. “Thanks for calling mcdonalds Sasha speaking.” Her beautiful Russian accent crisp and clean as she spoke. I mentally sighed. She was my favorite manager and I knew she would work something out for me. “Hey Sasha, I cant make tonight’s shift.” I spoke feeling like I was going to throw up. This was weird. “She passed out Sasha,” Ella spoke to my dismay. “You head strait home and rest. Don’t you worry got a girl chomping for more shifts. I’ll call her right now.” Sasha snapped at me. We where really good friends the three of us. No that doesn’t mean I get special treatment at work but it is sometimes a benefit when your friends can help. “See you heard her. Now head strait home. I will cover for you today.” Ella spoke turning me around. To late her came rosco. “Ahhh, Molly just the girl I wanted to see.” Rosco spoke with a smile. “Hi sir.” I spoke as we followed him in. “You girls are late.” He spoke stern. I sighed. “No matter. We are staying closed.” “What?” We both said. “We have been bought out. We now run under Marline. Molly you are to take the weekend off and she will see you Monday.” Rosco spoke. “I will send you her info so you know where to go.” “Oh?” I spoke a little concerned. “You are going to be her personal assistant now. She demands it and says be ready because your walking into a s**t show.” Rosco spoke as he walked into his office. “Her words not mine.” “I work for Marline now?” I gently said. Ella was squealing beside me. I cant believe this. “Why are you still here go home.” He spoke. I nodded as I slowly left. I really couldn’t afford the day off but I had to listen. Marline met me at the door. “Just the girl I wanted to see.” Marline spoke she walked up to me with an envelope. I took it from her as she motioned to my car. “Rosco gave me the load down and your friend Ella sure likes to talk. Now that is a paid week off. You will be working for me and pay from me will cover most of your day jobs. Now, I know how hard you work and I know I won’t be disappointed but I don’t want you exhausted at work. Don’t work to many jobs.” “Marline I will work hard but I cant accept this.” I spoke trying to pass the envelope back. “Nope, you my dear are very smart and I cant wait to get that brain on my team. My company has been lacking and if I can save money by having someone like you in my firm that will benefit me.” She smiled. “You will be coordinating all my meetings and making sure all my stuff and staff runs smooth. It is a bit of a shirt show and we are falling behind. Now I don’t want you working this week but feel free to pop in and meet the team anytime you need to.” “I don’t know what to say.” I spoke as tears where about to fall. “Just get my business going and I promise you things will be great.” She spoke as she left me by my car. Rosco also raced out to me with my own cheque and gently hugged me before I could leave. I didn’t even get out of the parking lot before I had to stop. My head was really spinning now and I felt like I was going to be sick. I pulled into a parking stall and raced out to the sidewalk where I threw up my breakfast before I collapsed off to the side. I was happy my phone was right beside me as I pulled it out. “Oliver.” I spoke hoping he had answered but no. It was his freaking answering machine. I laid there before I think fell asleep. “Molly.” A voice cried as I was being gently shaken. I looked up into Ella face. She was so worried. “I’m not feeling so good.” I whispered as she helped me to my feet. She plunked me into the passenger seat before she raced into the drivers sheets. “We are going to the hospital.” Ella spoke. “Ella I just need some rest and some food. I promise I will be okay.” I spoke feeling tired as I curled up on the passenger seat. She sighed before everything went quiet. She woke me gently once we where home and began to help me inside. It was empty so I knew they had to have gone out. “Alright rest, I’ll let Oliver know I have the car and I will bring it back later so he can drop me off.” Ella spoke once I had water beside me. I nodded and thanked her before I closed my eyes. She had brought my bags in before leaving once more. “Hello.” I squeezed out. It wasn’t pretty as I had been woken up and forced to answer my phone. “Molly, where are you?” The voice spoke. I was to tired to even think who it would be. “Home,” I said. That was it. Not sure if they ended the call or if I had fallen asleep but I was out. I came to with beeping and the smell of cleanliness. I opened my eyes to see a bunch of machines and a white room. I was tucked in and a few tubes coming out of my arm. I began to panic as a familiar face raced in. She was crying as she dropped her head on my chest. I tried to wrap her in a hug but I couldn’t. “Molly,” She cried. I felt horrible as I watched her cry there. I would do anything to hold her and comfort her. “I’m okay Alisa.” I gently spoke glad my voice sounded normal. “But your not okay.” She cried. “I thought you died Molly.” “I’m alive Alisa. I promise I would never leave you.” I spoke to her trying to comfort you. “Oliver is so mad Molly. He has almost torn the house apart.” She said trying to dry her eyes. It didn’t help the moment she got them dry they would be wet once more. “I know sis. Where is he now.” “He is talking with the doctors.” Alisa spoke gently. I smiled at her as I watched her. She was so young and here I am in a hospital bed. Me and Oliver where all she had. “Miss Molly how good it is to see you awake.” The only doctor in the world that would be permitted to look after us. He was assigned our doctor and everyone knew if we where here he had to be called even if it was his day off. “Thank you doc.” I said with a smile to him. “How bad?” “Really bad Molly. This time you are actually going to have to stay in hospital for a bit.” He sighed as he placed a hand on my foot. “Alisa your brother is trying to bring food up for you why don’t you go give him a hand" “Okay.” She smiled as she bounced away to find her brother. “Its worse Molly.” The doc sighed heavily as he sat down on the stool. “You need to quit working so freaking much. Your body can not take this anymore.” “I cant doc. I have to keep going. Oliver is almost done school.” I spoke trying to hold back the tears. I was going to die and I knew it. “Molly your body is not going to take it. You have to stop immediately.” The doc said trying to get through to me. I have know this doc since I was born. He is the only one that new who my father really was. A secret even he has kept from us but he would be the one to check us over due to my fathers blood running threw me. “Molly if you had not gotten in when you did your heart would have stopped all together.” “I need a bit longer.” I cried. “If you keep going like this Molly I won’t be able to save you.” The doc gently spoke. “Your brother still doesn’t know. He thinks you are just exhausted.” “I got a job with Marline.” I gently spoke. “Oh.” He said now curiose. “She told me pay was good and that I can quite a few of my jobs. Just work with her.” I spoke still a little unsure how this was going to work. “Quit them all. Quit them all and work for her. She will take care of you.” The doc spoke quickly like he knew something I didn’t. “I have been let go from R and R twins. Guess she bought them out and asked for me to leave that position to be her personal assistant.” I told him as he smiled. “Molly quit everything else alright. She will keep you safe.” He smiled happily. “That’s my Sister in Law.” “What?” I said looking at him shocked. “She will keep you safe. Just work like I know you can and you will be living like a princess soon. She has done it for so many that have list families like you. I promise she will keep you safe.” He spoke as he grabbed my hand and squeezed gently. “Just quit everything.” “Molly going to be home for the evening now?” Alisa spoke gently as she came in happily. She raced over to me and grabbed my hand. I tried to squeeze it but I was just to tired. “She deffinitly will be.” Oliver spoke very upset. It looked like he was having a mental attack. “There is no way she is going back to work so much.” “Yeah, Molly you hear that. You don’t have to go back.” Alisa smiled as she held me close. I could feel her tears hit my shoulder as my own started falling. I heard the banging of something before new arms wrapped around me. “Don’t cry guys, please don’t cry. This will all be okay.” Oliver spoke. “I passed my course Molly. I passed it and have graduated.” “What.” I cried confused. He held me close and began to mutter something I couldn’t get. “Don’t worry about it Molly. All is fine now.” Oliver spoke as he leaned away and grabbing Alisa to lead her over to the table. He then raced back over to me and began to feed me after a nurse brought me some food. “Oli how long have I been out for?” I asked gently. “Not long enough.” He sighed. I looked at him shocked. “Molly your exhausted. You have been out for a little over 3 days.” “The weekend is gone.” I spoke shocked. “Don’t worry, it’s all good. I have sold most of my books as I took an early exam and passed. I will be getting my Bachelor’s Degree in a few days. Doc says you will be there to witness it.” He says happily as he forced me to eat. “We just have to get food in you and get you sleeping properly.” “I’m sorry.” I spoke between bites. He looked at me shocked. “I have done the one thing I promised I would never do.” “Molly, I knew it was going to happen. Me and the doctor have been in close contact. No normal person can work that much and not be exhausted.” Oliver spoke as he put another bit into my mouth. I nodded gently as I chewed, he looked upset. “I promise Molly, I will climb the chain high in the company I work for and you won’t ever have to work again once I get there. I will get your life set up and you can return to school.” “I would like that.” I spoke starting to feel exhausted again. My head was spinning as I laid it back. “Molly.” Oliver pipped up before he disappeared from my veiw when he came back it was all darkness and voices. Nothing I could make out before all went quite once again. I mean I felt things here and there. “Oli,” I gently whispered as I tried to move my hand. I had a strand of hair on my face tickling my nose. It was gone quickly. “Molly.” This was not Oliver’s voice. It was female. I gently began to open my eyes to see someone I didn’t suspect be sitting beside me. “How are you feeling sweetheart.” “Marline.”I spoke very shocked and upset she had to see me like this. “Nope nope nope. You lay right back down and stop thinking.” She demanded causing me to lay back down. “I told you take the week. Don’t you worry we are going to get you back up on your feet before you know it.” “I’m sorry.” I whispered. “Don’t you worry girl. We all got your back. Your brother though. Little different that fellow.” She chuckled gently. “He is wonderful just me being I here has him probably worked up. He is graduating with his degree soon.” I began to say to defend him. She looked at me with a smile. “I’m glad I went with my gut feeling. Thought he was your brother. Asked for a job and of course I had to agree. I mean now that I know he is your brother my business is going to sky rocket.” She smiled happily. I smiled to knowing we will be okay. Oliver will work hard and I will be able to rest. “Now I hope you don’t mind but me and Ella have gone and given your notice at all your other jobs. I have paid most of your loans for you so all you have to worry about now is paying me back. I will split it between both your cheques.” “No please take it mostly from mine.” I concluded as I looked at her pleading. She looked at me before sighing and nodding. “Alright I will work something out with you then.” She smiled at me. “Now rest. They will bring some food in for you soon.” “Thank you.” I spoke as I felt like I was falling but I didn’t care. For once I felt like I could hold onto the future and our past was finally leaving us alone. It felt like we could now live the life parents wanted for us. “Molly.” I gently voice called to me as I felt her hand on mine. I opened my eyes to see Alisa, she was all dolled up as if she got back from a function. “Alisa.” I smiled as I was finally able to move my hand to her cheek. She was so happy as she held it there with her own. I could see the worry melt away. “How are you feeling.” She asked gently looking at me with her smile. “Better now that I get to see that smile.” I said smiling with her as I felt my body relax. She giggled gently causing me to join her. My bed began to move gently causing me to sit up and I saw Oliver there all dressed up as well. I then clued in what today was. Tears began to pour down my cheeks as I felt the guilt and pain hit my heart. He didn’t move he didn’t comfort me and I knew I did wrong. “I’m sorry.” “I am going to Leave Alisa with you for the night. I hope that will be okay.” He spoke not even looking at me. I froze, there was something in his voice and I knew right then I have really been pushing him. I cant believe I forgot. I cant believe I have been so selfish and forgot about his demon. “Oliver i….” “I got to go.” He spoke getting up and leaving. I tried calling for him but nothing stopped him. I broke it, I broke everything he had worked so hard to do. I was suppose to be there for him but I couldn’t be. “Molly.” Alisa cried as I felt myself fall away. Darkness took me once again as I felt the pain. I let him down.
