My legs quivered and my knees seemed to go weak at that point in time. "You are a weak wolf and blind, you have no worth right now!" His voice echoed as the blaring music in the hall seized instantly. My heart sank at his words, the pain of rejection washing over me once again. It was as if the world around us had fallen silent, leaving only his harsh words echoing in my ears. "But... I... I thought finding a mate was supposed to be a joyful event," I whispered, my voice trembling with a mix of hurt and confusion. He scoffed, a bitter laugh escaping his lips. "Joyful? Not for me. I am an Alpha, and I cannot afford to have a mate who will weaken my pack. Your blindness makes you a liability, not an asset." "I'm never a liability!" My voice came out trembling because I could hear little whispers from the crowd. "Then prove that to me!"

CHAPTER 1
EVEYLN POV MATE Mate is everything that I have dreamed of all my life, the one who would complete me in ways I never thought possible. From the moment I laid eyes on him, I would know he was different. But how am I supposed to know he was the one? How would I know that he was my soulmate when I was blind? I walked towards the tiny mirror in my room after touching so many objects. I gazed into the mirror, my fingers tracing the edges of its frame. As a blind person, my other senses had become my guide, but I longed to see my own reflection, to understand the visual world that surrounded me. I took a deep breath and tried to picture myself in my mind's eye. I knew I had long, flowing hair, as soft as silk, and deep brown eyes that held a hint of mystery. My friends often described me as having a radiant smile, one that could light up a room even without my sight. But it wasn't just my physical appearance that concerned me. I wanted to know if there was something more, something that set me apart from the rest. I wanted to feel a connection that transcended the limitations of my blindness. My name is Evelyn Bernard, I stay with my grandfather in a small town in Cloud moon pack. Cloud Moon Pack was known for its close-knit community, where everyone knew one another and looked out for each other. As a blind individual, I had always relied on the familiar sounds and scents of the town to navigate my way through daily life. The bustling market, with its vendors hawking fresh produce and handmade crafts, emitted a symphony of voices and aromas that painted a vivid picture in my mind. The laughter of children playing in the park, the distant howls of wolves, and the gentle rustling of leaves in the wind—they all formed a tapestry of sensations that guided me through each day. I reached out to the objects on my dresser, feeling their textures and shapes. Each one held memories and significance, representing moments in my life. I picked up a small trinket, a gift from a dear friend, and held it close to my heart. It reminded me of the love and support that surrounded me. The door to my room pulled open as j instantly turned my face towards the direction. "Happy birthday, Eve!" The voice of my younger brother echoed in the room. My mother had died and left the world the day Taylor was born into the world. He was just ten years old but a very smart kid. "Both I and Jenny baked you a cake because today is your sweet 18th birthday!" He said as a smile creeps my lips. I couldn't help but smile at my brother's words, feeling a rush of warmth and love for him. Despite the challenges we faced as a family, Taylor always found a way to bring joy into our lives. His presence reminded me that I was never alone, even in my darkness. "Thank you, Taylor," I replied, my voice filled with gratitude. "I can't wait to taste the cake you and Jenny made." "Not only can't you wait for my cake but I got you a gift!" Jenny's voice came right after. "Thank you, Jenny!" I said, chuckling a bit. As he placed the cake on my dresser, I could smell the sweet aroma of vanilla and the richness of chocolate. The scent filled the room, heightening my anticipation. I extended my hand, lightly running my fingers over the frosting, savoring the textures. "Make a wish, Eve," Taylor encouraged, his voice full of excitement. Closing my eyes, I took a moment to reflect on what I truly desired. It wasn't material possessions or superficial wishes. What I longed for most was a deep connection with someone who would see beyond my blindness, someone who would understand me on a level that went beyond physical appearance. With that thought in my heart, I took a breath and blew out the candles. The room filled with applause and cheers, and I could feel the love radiating from my family. As the celebration continued, I couldn't help but wonder if my soulmate was out there, somewhere in the world, searching for me as well. Would I ever find him? And would he be able to look past my disability and see the person I truly was? "Alright, grandpa went to the market to sell off huge today and would be back soon!" Taylor said, "Happy birthday Eve, I have to head for my classes!" Taylor said, kissing my forehead and leaving me with Jenny. With Taylor gone, Jenny and I sat on the edge of my bed, sharing a comfortable silence. I could sense her presence, her warmth, and I knew she was there for me. "Guess what I bought you?" Jenny asked. Curiosity piqued within me as I turned towards Jenny, a smile playing on my lips. "What did you get me, Jenny?" She chuckled softly, her voice carrying a hint of excitement. "Close your eyes and hold out your hands." "Stop the humor, I'm blind remember!" I said chuckling. Jenny laughed along with me. "Right, right, I forgot for a moment. Okay, no need to close your eyes then." I extended my hands in front of me, palms up. I felt a gentle weight being placed into my hands, and I could sense a small box wrapped in paper. I carefully peeled away the wrapping paper, my fingers tracing the edges of the box. Opening it, I discovered a delicate necklace, the pendant shaped like a crescent moon with a small star dangling from it. "It's beautiful," I whispered, my fingers tracing the smooth surface of the pendant. "I thought it would be a perfect gift for you," Jenny explained. "The moon and stars have always held a special significance in our lives, and I wanted you to have something that would remind you of the beauty that exists even in the darkest of nights." Tears welled up in my eyes as I felt a rush of gratitude and love for Jenny. She had always been attuned to my emotions, understanding the depths of my heart even without words. "Thank you, Jenny," I said, my voice filled with emotion. "This means the world to me." Jenny enveloped me in a warm embrace, and I leaned into her, feeling a sense of comfort and belonging. In that moment, I realized that love came in many forms. Jenny was not just my best friend; she was also the one who believed in me, supported me, and always reminded me of the beauty that surrounded me. Jenny clapped her hands in delight. "That's right! And there's more." "This is your gown for tonight, you would look exceptional in that and who knows you might get your mate today!" Jenny said. I held the gown in my hands, feeling the luxurious fabric and intricate details. Even though I couldn't see it, I could imagine the flowing lines and elegant design. "Thank you, Jenny," I said, my voice filled with excitement. "I can't wait to wear it tonight." Jenny smiled. "You're going to shine, Evelyn. I have a feeling that something extraordinary is going to happen on your birthday." I couldn't help but feel a surge of hope and anticipation. Perhaps this night would be the turning point in my journey, the moment when I would meet my soulmate. The thought filled me with a mixture of nervousness and excitement.
