Chapter 01. The rainy season is started. Raju is getting ready to go to the university. He is a younger son of his well settled family. It can mention as the one of richest family in a Hyderabad. But some feelings of Raj’s aren’t suit with his family. Specially love. His lover is Maya, such a innocent, kind, cute, well- behaved, skillful, brave girl belongs to middle class separated family. Maya’s father is a businessman. He is doing his own hotel at Goa. Her mother was died in her little age. Then her father, Mr.Chandrasekar married an another woman, Shanthi and they settled inGoa. After his bad time was began. Shanthi wanted to chase away Maya from the house. She was maltreated to Maya. One day Maya took a decision to unhand the house and she met her father. “ Papa, I wanna go anywhere for my higher studies. I want to be a teacher one day. Any how, I can’t stay at home anymore.” “Why can’t you stay at home? I’m going to arrange Shan (Shanthi’s younger brother) for you. Me and your amma already planned your wedding. So now enough your studies, get ready for the wedding?” Maya was just 19 years old. She didn’t want to marry as well as she wanted to continue her higher studies. She took a decision to go away from the house without informing. In her school time she had one friend, Puja at Hyderabad. She phoned Puja at a communication. “Hello.” Puja answered. “This is Maya here” “Oh..God Maya.. What’s up?” “Puja…” Maya cried. “Hey.. Baibee, why? What happened? Did she make an issue? Without crying just tell me.” “Puja, I can’t stay at home anymore. They already planned my wedding with Shan. So how can I be a teacher? Please help me.” “ Ok.. What do you want to do right now? Just tell me..” “ I wanna find a place to stay safely and want to join with a university.” “Right, Come to Hyderabad.” “ Ok..I’ll come.” “Maya, Do you have money?” “ Yah. I have money.” “ Ok Where is your mobile?” “ at home.” “Ok.. Just sent me your passport details. I’ll book your ticket and send you a message.” “Ok. Puja thanks a lot yar..” “Maya just inform everything to your grandparents and give my details.. Ok” “Ok.. Puja.” After the conversation with Puja, Maya directly went to see her grandparents at the Miramar. Chapter 02. There are her mother, Latha’s mother and Father. They are really love their granddaughter. Every time they asked from Mr. Chandrasekar to adopt Maya with them. But he didn’t give her. Because he need to protect her daughter because she is the first child and from the second marriage he don’t have any chil- dren more than that he wanted to show it to the world. Maya entered the house, while entering the house Grandma was sewing and grandpa was sleeping. “Ammamma…” “Maya..My sweetie..What happened to your face?? Why is it dark??” “Nothing.. Where is the grandpa?” “He is sleeping.. Did she hurt again?” She took a deep breath as a answer of grandma’s question. “ Ammamma.., please call grandpa.. I have to say something..” Maya said everything to them and grandpa phoned Puja and asked everything about her as well as grand- ma called Puja’s mother too. Puja’s parents are very good and understanding. Her father is a doctor and her mother is a housewife. She is well understanding lady than the others. She voluntary stood to help Maya. Maya’s grandparents happy with her decision because she hadn’t any option. Her mother Latha saved some money for Maya’s future. The grandparents thought to give that money to Maya for her education. “Maya, your amma had a parcel of a plot. Before she died, she asked to sell it and asked to save that money for your marriage. But this is the time. This is the bank account and there are 50000/= for your expences. If you need money just give me a call. Don’t do the part time job.” Maya was crying. She thought about her mother. Without a mother the life is not the life. It is a hell. Moth- er can take anyone’s life to heaven. Grandma also crying. “Stop the crying.. Her decision is right. She can’t live that hel anymore. She wants to make her life. Be contact with us, my doll. We are with you baba. Don’t worry.” Maya returned to the home slowly. Around 6.00 p.m she reached home. There wasn’t her father. He went to Delhi for some business matter. Mre.Shanthi tried to take maximum benefit from that chance. She phoned Shan(Younger brother of Shanthi) and asked to come home. Maya Rang the bell. After hearing the bell Mrs.Shanthi became a devil. Because Maya was late. She opened the door with a cane. Maya stepped in the home with shivering. Because she knew the thing happen next. “Ahh..Princess What is the time now? Where did you go? To a hotel?? With whom?? How much do you earn??” “Hey, I went to the grandma’s house. Please don’t insult me?” “Ahhh.. Insult??... Today..I” Mrs.Shanthi assaulted her. Maya couldn’t bear the pain. Yesterday also the same. She was suffered. She closed the door her room and cried. Mrs.Shanthi is very afraid eith the Maya’s beauty. She has fair skin and nice smile, tall and she has long hair. Moreover she was the first standard of her class. Anyway Mrs. Shanthi wanted to destroy her future. Maya came to the room and sent passport details to Puja. Puja arranged everything and sent ticket details to Maya. For while Maya took a phone call for one her friend Ashen secretly. “Hello, Maya..” “Ashen I need a help tonight..” “Why?? Is there anything wrong.. Puja phoned me. I know everything. What can we do for you?” “ I’ll have the flight at 3.00 a.m. tonight. Can you arrange a vehicle to go to the airport?” “yah.. sure, me and Arun will come at 1.00 a.m.naer to ypur house” “Ok.. I’ll come at that time..” Chapter 03. Again Maya phoned Puja and confirmed the flight details and she packed everything she wants. Then she got ready to take shower, at that time Shan came to the house. She heard the voice. She concealed the bag under the bed and again she wore the shalwar because if shan saw her with a towel, she can’t survive. As sudden Shan tapped the door. She slowly opened the door. “ Hi..Baby..” She slowly took her steps back. “Why are you late today?” “I went to the grandma’s house.” “Ahh…Ok..Ok.. Your Papa arranged our marriage. Are you happy?” Maya looked down and Shan clasped Maya from her hands. It hurted her. “Aww.” “Why..” “Did she be maul? Again” “Maya didn’t answer and crept to the bathroom.” “Akkaaa…” Shan shouted and went out to the room. Shan blamed her sister, Mrs.Shanthi and bounded to leaves because he didn’t like to hurt her. Every night Maya wanted to prepare milk for Mrs.Shanthi. It was an order. That night also she prepared glass of milk for her second mom but she added two sleeping tablets to that. Mrs.Shanthi drank it and went to sleep around 10.00 p.m. Maya came to the room and took a shower and covered her cicatrices with lint. She wore denim and white colour t-shirt and shoes. She braided her long hair and wait until 1.00 a.m. sharp 12.45 a.m. she got a call from Arun. “ Hello Arun..” “Maya we are at the street.., May we come inside..” “No..No.. I’ll come out..” Mata took a deep breath and took her travelling bag and put step to left the house. Maya was steady with her plan. She never changed it. Slowly she came out and she saw her best friends near the gate. They came and took her bag and they went to the airport. That was the time to say good bye for them. “ Maya..Please be safe…Phone us..right.. Ashen Said.’ “Hmm..” “Don’t worry about anything. This is the right decision. Just go and be safe.. Arun said.” Maya looked down. Unknowingly her eyes filled with tears. They hugged. “ Thank you so much.. Friends are the only one blessing in my life. Thank you.. Maya said” “ Eeeii..Don’t cry.. We want see you beautiful smile…Go.. Arun said.” Arun phoned Puja. “ Hello Arun..” “Machi.. Maya is leaving us. You have to take care her” “Don’t worry Arun.. I’ll manage everything.” “Thanks Machi..” Chapter 04. Maya fled to Hyderabad. At the airport there was her friend Puja and her mom. All of sudden Maya stopped after seeing Puja. Puja came and hugged her. They talked so many things about Maya and inci- dents happen in her past and Maya’s higher studies. Puja asked from Maya to stay with her at her home. Puja’s mother also requested it from Maya. But Maya refused it. Because she needed to settle down in Hyderabad alone. She knows the reality of changing minds of people. As well as didn’t want to be rejected from Puja’s family. Maya wanted to hold their relationship forever. Because without them she doesn’t have anyone in the Hyderabad. As well as she didn’t want to be a spiny for them. Anyone can live someone’s house a period of time as a guest but if she or he is going to live forever in the outsider’s house it will be the deadweight. Because her father also changed so how can she trust others? As well as she never hope anyone’s clemency. “Why Maya?? Why can’t you stay with me??” “Please try to understand me. I just want to be free because I lived in a jail.” ‘I know it, We don’t want to disturb your freedom, but I have responsibility for your safe.” ‘ Hey.. Puja.. Anyhow I’m your friend. I can stay here one week or maximum one month.. After that I’ll become a torture for your family. I’ll become another responsibility for your parents. I’ll become spin for you also.. That’s the human nature. We can’t change it. We have to understand it. Just think it” “ Why are you so negative?” “That’s my experience.. My Papa is changed. My second mom became a devil. I became a servant in my own home. Everyone is changed with time, money and responsibility. So How can I believe??” “ Maya.. Everyone is not same..different.” “But changing is eternal Machi” “Ok.. What do you want? Puja asked it angrily” “ Can I find a boarding place at your lane?” “Maya This is Banjara Hill.. There is no… Ohh.. I remember one place for you… come.. Ammaaa” Next lane there is a good house of Mr and Mrs. Sivasundaram. They are very caring elderly neighbours. They don’t have children and both of them are retired teachers. Puja thought that place was the best place for Maya. Puja’s amma, Kaveri phoned Mrs.Sivasundaram and asked about the boarding place for Puja without mentioning issues of Maya. Maya wanted to meet them and with the permission of Kaveri they went to meet Mr and Mrs. Sivasundaram. At the first sight they really liked to Maya. They are ever wor- ried about babies but they hadn’t that fortunate. Before knowing anything about Maya they agreed to give place for her freely. But Maya asked monthly rent for the room. Finally they asked 2000/= per month. It was happy for Maya. After the discussion they returned to the Puja’s place. “Such a pretty girl. Mrs. Sivasundaram said.” “I like her arrogance. Mr. Sivasundaram answered.” Chapter 05. Next day, Maya went to Mr. Sivasundaram’s house to stay. They warmly welcome them and they al- ready arranged upstairs room for her. After reached Hyderabad she phoned her grandparents, friends and switched off the phone. Because Thaththayya asked to switch off the phone and the changed the sim card. Because the situation in Goa was the worst. After settled at the new place, Maya little bit relaxed. Mr & Mrs Sivasundaram love her without knowing her situation. After some time they got to know everything about Maya. Then they loved her as their daughter. But she asked from them not to mercy. It was kind request from them. With the help of them Maya entered the university. That was the changing point of her life. She started her degree from the language section. The rainy season was started. The rag season was the worst period of her life. She was noted among the seniors. Every day they tortured her. One day one se- nior boy asked to kiss another boy. “Maya..” “Sir..” “Come forward” “ Today is valentine day. You need to kiss him and say ‘I love you’.” Maya looked down. “Eeeii.. do it..” “I’m sorry..I can’t.” “ Why.. this is your senior order. He shouted.” “If you’re my father, I can’t.. Maya shouted back.” After that incident Maya was very famous among the seniors and her classmates. Raju is the most popular senior boy among the university. He also became very famous in his rag season. He also fought with his senior boy. Based on that Maya got a nick name as Miss Raju. But maya didn’t like it. Raju also getting knew about this but he didn’t care. End of the rag season seniors arranged cricket match for boys and netball match for girls. It was held between seniors and juniors. Cricket match was won by the seniors. But netball match was going to lost for seniors. Because of Maya. From the school time Maya was the best player in her school. As well as she played the place of goal attacker (Help Shooter). Senior boys got to know about this news and they went to the netball court. Junior girls scored 15 and senior girls scored 08. Senior girls lost the first match and everyone got a interval. All the players returned to their rooms to get ready for the next match. Suddenly Maya came out with her loose long hair and netball mini gown. All of sudden Raju saw his queen. From that moment he didn’t take his eyes from Maya. Anyway senior girls lost the match because of Maya. After seeing Maya, Raju was changed. Every time Raju followed Maya. Everyone in the college got to know about this matter. Time to time everything became very normal. Maya also thought about him. But didn’t respond him. Because she was fed up so many things. She really affrid to take decision. But they love each other, they care each other. After one year Raju brought a ring and directly came to meet Maya to the canteen and in front of all the students he proposed her. Without saying she took a ring and leave. But their eyes were talking everything at that moment. Next day she gave her diary to read him and asked to take decision after read it. “ What is this? Raju asked.” “ My personal diary.” “Why are you giving it to me?” “To read.” “I already took my decision, I don’t want to read this.” “Just read it please.. After that you have to decide.” Maya kept her diary on his hand and moved to the class. Raju was thinking about her sayings. But he didn’t read it. Next day also he came to meet her. “Did you read it?” “Yah..Yahh.. What a nice diary!” Maya understood as he didn’t read it. “Who is my father?” “Ahh…” “Mmm… Mr.Ramamrrr…thyy” Maya just looked at him and left the place. “Mayaa… please stop yar..” Chapter 06. After that he directly went to the home and read the diary. After all he understood the reason of Maya’s request. Until 11.45 p.m, he finished the diary. Then he took a bike and went to the Maya’s place. He knew her room. From her room she can look at the lane. At that time Maya didn’t sleep. Maya just heard the familiar sound of a bike. She just looked at the lane and she saw Raju. He brought a small white board and marker. Raju wrote something on the board and show it to the Maya. “Chanrasekar, businessman. Latha, housewife” Maya smiled. She got to know everything of her was known by him and he was read her diary. Now she was happy. The he wrote, “still I love you” Then; “Still I need you” After that; “Still I wanna hug you” Then; “Still I wanna kiss you” Finally; “I just want you, nothing else” Maya was surprised. She ran down the steps and directly came to the lane and hugged him and kiss him. Maya cried. He also cried. “Ammu.. Sorry baba” “Ahh..” I didn’t know anything about you. I’s sorry.. Raju Said.” “It’s not your fault and thank you. Maya said” “For what?” “ For accepting me after knowing everything.” “ You’re my everything, sorry for the late.. and I can be proud.” “Why?” “Because I have lioness.” From that day Raju cares her as a father. Maya’s world filled with Raju. They had a great time at the univer- sity. Within this period Maya’s father wanted to find her. He was searching everywhere. But it was failed. Mrs. Shanthi made gossip for Maya. As Maya ran away from a boy. But Shan and Mr.Chandrasekar knew it was wrong. They are still searching her. Chapter 07. One day Shan met her grandparents at the fair. In that time Shan stole the grandma’s phone and stole the Maya’s mobile number and found her details, specially living place. Then he fled to the Hydeabad. Shan searched her everywhere within one month. After one month shan suddenly saw Puja. He followed Puja. That day Shan found Puja’s house and next day also he followed Puja. Next day morning Puja directly went to meet the Maya to her place. Shan found the place. Shan didn’t go to talk to her. He phoned Maya’s father, Mr.Chandrasekar. after listening that news he fled to Hyderabad with some gangsters. Mr.Chandrasekar, Shan and others went to Mr & Mrs. Sivasundaram’s house. At that time there wasn’t Maya. She was at the campus. “ Chandrasekar Garu, Maya is learning to be a teacher. Give your permission to stay here and learn, then your daughter will not escape from you” “ Sivasundaram Garu, She is my daughter. She wants to work according to my words. Not to her own.” “No..I doesn’t mean..” Mr.Chandrasekar asked to stop the discussion. “Can you show me her room…Please..” Mr.Chandrasekar moved to her room with Shan. They surprised after seeing her room. Because it was marvelous. They couldn’t imagine it. Moreover they saw her photo gallery on the wall, there was only her mother, father, grandparents, and everywhere she pasted her photos with Raju. After seeing those things, suddenly Mr.Chandrasekar’s and Shan’s mood changed.they behaved like devils. Shan smashed some photos. Mr. Chandrasekar stopped him. They slowly came down and waited for Maya. As usual Maya came with Raju by bicycle. Mr.Chandrasekar, aunty, uncle and others waited in the living room. Maya entered the home happily. But after seeing her father the happy mood was changed. She surprised. “Papaa.. Maya murmured.” Mr.Chandrasekar came and slapped. “Get into the vehicle.. Mr.Chandrasekar ordered.” “No. I can’t..” Shan tried to lead her to the vehicle. But she pulled out his hand and ran near to the Mr.Sivasundaram. “Maya.. may I call the police.. Your amma is crying everyday. She was sick because of you. How can You stay without us.. If you don’t us, I’ll call the police. Mr. Chandrasekar shouted” In that time Raju again came to the house to Maya’s phone to her. “Ok.. Call the police. Now I’m above 18 years old. Now I can decide my life. You forget me. You never thought about me as a daughter.. Papaa.. Is she a mom?? What a nice mom? At least she don’t know the meaning of the word mom? I wasn’t your daughter. I was your second wife’s servant.” “Maya.. shut up..” “No I don’t wanna shut up my mouth again.. I want to tell these things to you.. Those days I ate as you want.. I wore as you want..I did everything as you want. I became her servant as you want.. She hurt me lot.. at least you never asked it from home.. She phoned Shan and asked to come home.. Shan is better than you and your wife. She wanted to abuse me from the Shan. He also knew it. But he never did it.. “ Mr.Chandrasekar just sat on the chair. “Papaa.. I never forget you and my amma. Without her I can’t move to Goa. I’m sorry. I can’t marry the person you choose.. I know definitely you arranged my wedding with Shan after moving there. So I’m sorry.. You have to go now.. I can stay here alone.. I can’t go that jail again..” “Maya stop.. Mr. Chandrasekar shouted” “ I give my everything to you. I promise I’ll take admissions from the teaching college ,Goa. Just come with me baba.. You’re my only one child. How can I make my mind to this..” “ I can’t..Papaa” Without saying Mr.Chandrasekar left the house. Maya was crying. Any how she love her father very much. That’s blood relationship. She can’t bear her heart to stay Hyderabad. As well as She can’t go to Goa. Raju stayed with her that night.
