Maddox POV

Ever since the party, I am always aware if she is nearby. She always has an elegant aura around her which made me think about things.

After my HS graduation I made a deal with grandpa, a silly me thought I won during the day I negotiated with him prior to enrolling in this school. I always like to be around my friends and family, so when I told him I will be spending my pre-course here and he can decide the rest. I thought I outsmarted him when I proposed it. I never knew that I would like it more now that I have something to look forward to at school. I am not looking for a relationship, I know that I will be moving out after two years. So the only thing I can do is to look at her and enjoy the small moments with her. I know that my friends somehow knew how I felt towards her. But they do not know that I do like her too much. So when the second year was completed I did not have any choice but to follow Grandpa’s wishes. Lucky for me the Intake starts in August so I still have a few months to linger and watch her from afar.

I was surprised how enormous the paperwork needed for me to complete the transfer. I have not seen her for three weeks. I will be leaving soon. I need to talk to her before I leave.

Ace and Jerry came over to my house that weekend. They promised to spend the next few weekends together before I leave.

“I saw Elena yesterday at the Library, have you talked to her?” Asked Jerry.

“Not yet. I got her number from Noah last week, I also asked Bryan to inform her that I want to see her. But I do not have the courage to call her.” Sigh Maddox.

“Are you sure you still want to talk to her? Why don’t you just leave it as is? You know, to prevent any more broken hearts.” Ace teases while rubbing his crying eyes playfully.

“Did she ask any of you about me?” Maddox was hoping that at the very least Elena would ask about him.

“Not that I’m aware of. But you know her, she always looks like a statue so you can’t really get any facial information on her.” Said Ace while opening the bag of chips. Ever since they are kids they like hanging out at Maddox room because of the endless supply of chips.

“I heard the girls were talking about your departure, I saw her listening to them but I am not confident to say that she is concerned about it. She just keeps staring at the field while the girls are discussing you.” Said Jerry.

“I do not know, but I feel like I need to talk to her before I leave.” Said Maddox.

“Madd, are you willing to be in a LDR? Let me remind you it will be very hard on both of you” Queries Ace.

“LDR? Our guy even has not confessed yet, why jump to LDR thingy?” Said Jerry.

“Besides, even Elena does act like a statue; she looks like Venus. So you better think twice. There were a lot of guys who were showing interest in her. The other day one of the sophomores approached her and asked if she wanted to be her date on the coming anniversary party. She was not rude though she declined it, very cute I must say, you can see how embarrassed the guy was. His friends have been cat calling at the back. So it made him more embarrassed when Elena declined.

“I just want to see her before I leave,” said Maddox while rubbing his temples. Thinking about the reason why he wants to see her gives him a throbbing headache.

“Since you got her number, give her a call, if you are scared to meet her face to face”. Said Jerry while eating the chips on the table. You know for your own CLOSURE. Hahahaha

Ace threw the pillow to Jerry. “Shut up!!”

I do not know how to describe it. But I know I want to talk to her before I leave. What will I tell her when i'll see her? Will she agree to meet me? Will it make me happy or what? Will it help me to focus on my new life?
