After the party they all went back to their old routines at school. The first semester ended without Elena and Maddox having any further romantic episodes. Kate, on the other hand, received a slew of DMs, none of which were really serious, while Abby and Emma were just enjoying their moments.

In class Maddox is occasionally caught staring at Elena for a little longer than usual. He certainly likes her, as seen by his actions. Their friends notice it too but no one has spoken regarding it.  While Elena has maintained her stern demeanor, only she is aware that she always gets butterflies when Maddox is around.

After that semester they got different time tables and classrooms, they had fewer and fewer classes together. They still see each other during school activities, but it is no longer the same. It was like that for a few months.

“Elena, I saw Maddox yesterday. He asked about your schedule this week. Do you guys don’t have each other’s numbers? I didn’t have yours so I was not able to give him, but he wants to let you know that he wants to meet you if you have time.” says Bryan, a common friend of theirs.

“No I don’t have his number, did he mention why he wants to see me? Elena was confused why so suddenly, and she just realized she had not seen him at campus for quite some time.

“No, I met him at the running field yesterday and he asked me for your sched. But I told him I always see you so he asked me to relay the message. I need to run, I'll let you know if I see him again.”

“Why was he looking for you?” Asked Kate.

“I heard he stopped going to this school and transferred to where his brother goes to” says Emma while eating some chips.

“The gossip was true then.” pitched Abby. I heard about it too but I never thought it was true, no wonder I only saw Ace and Jerry with a new friend, was it Lucas ? Leo ? hmmm.

“It's Luke, I never heard about it, where was I when this stuff happened? Asked Elena casually, she did not expect that Maddox was about to cause her some mini anxiety.

“You’re here, as always lost in your own world” smirked Emma.

Hahaha Lost in her own world? Can it also be her own dimension, or galaxy? She might be with the Guardians on her way to Planet 11? Teases Kate.

“Come on guys let's go to class we are late.” Says Abby. She always makes sure they stick to classes.

Elena assumed maybe it was just a simple conversation of asking a classmate. She was unconcerned about it. She just thinks that it was sad to know that Maddox went to a different school.

A few days after the encounter with Bryan, this time it was Noah, another friend of theirs.

“Hey Elena, I gave your number to Maddox this morning. I saw him at the Admin building and he asked if I got your number. I Hope you don’t mind?” Said Noah.

“It’s ok, no big deal.” said Elena. This time it really made Elena think why is Maddox running around and asking their friends about her. Is something wrong?

She was hoping to receive a call or sms from him that day. But three days had passed with no news from Maddox. Elena, now being in her junior year, is more occupied with her school stuff. She thought that if he calls, he will, if not then let it be. Besides he already moved to another school he might be here just to collect some of his paperwork. Perhaps he just wanted to know my number.
