I thought I was immune to all the surprises nature had for me, but once again, she proved to me that I was nothing but an extremely tiny pawn in her entire board game.
I couldn't believe my ears. Despite the fact that I'd heard it with my own two ears, I just didn't want to believe that it was true.

“Are you deaf?” Felix's tone snapped me out of my thoughts bubble. “I asked you to leave. Don't make me call security.”
