CHAPTER NINETEEN.
THIRD POV.
"What do you mean by we are having another investor?" Allison asked Aurora angrily.
"What do I mean by that? Aren't you a business tycoon or whatever? Don't you know what it means to have another investor? Not really one but a business partner is a better way to call it?" Aurora replied.
"Allison, you can't just decide to do whatever you want. This company isn't ours alone. I am in charge of managing it and I am quite careful of those that I make a deal with." She reprimanded her.
"Yeah, yeah, I understand but this person isn't bad. His firm is even bigger than ours at the moment and you know him."
Allison frowned, "I do?"
"You were gladly dancing with him just a few nights ago. How could you have forgotten?" Aurora chuckled with disgust and Allison tried to think about who it could be.
"Jones?"
"Exactly. You even remember his name. I met with him earlier this morning and he told me about how he is interested in being our business partner by investing a huge sum in it. He also said that he was trying to get to you but you were always not available so he had to call me instead and wants me to talk with you so that the two of you can meet and then discuss it. If you don't want him to be a part of this then you can politely tell him in your meeting. It's going to be quite unethical if you just simply send a message to him and disregard his feelings in that aspect. Well, that's all I can provide, all of these are none of my business again." She said and stood up to leave.
"By the way, I gave him your contact so that you two can talk professionally. Now I hate being you because this job is forcing me to be so close to you even when I don't want to." Aurora mumbled on her way out while Allison watched in complete disarray.
Immediately Aurora got out, and she smiled.
FLASHBACK.
"Thank you for coming over, Miss Aurora, even though it was just unexpected." Jones apologized seriously but Aurora waded it off.
"It's alright, Mr Jones. I recognized you from the night before. You were dancing with my sister..."
"Oh, the two of you are sisters?" Jones was surprised and Aurora nodded.
"Yes, we are sisters. People find it hard to believe too whenever I tell them." Aurora replied.
"Wow, then it's a great pleasure meeting you again, Miss Aurora."
"Thank you."
"I...I have been trying to reach out to your sister for a while now but I can't. I didn't know how else to be able to do that so I remembered seeing you that night. I didn't even know that the two of you were sisters but I saw you leave with them that night in a different car so I assumed that you had to be someone close to her and I am happy right now that I made the right assumption." Jones chuckled while Aurora smiled before taking a sip of her drink. Jones watched her carefully as she swallowed the content before speaking again.
"Ever since the dance that night, I haven't been able to get Allison off my mind. I can't stop thinking about her. I have always wished to meet her once again." He said with a tint of blush rising on his cheeks which made Aurora so surprised. She blinked and put her glass of wine down on the table.
"Mr Jones, what are you even saying? She is married."
"Yeah, yeah, that's the only reason why I am keeping my feelings to myself. If only she wasn't married or mated to the Alpha yet, maybe I would have been lucky to make her mine but then...even if it's at least, regular business meetings with her, I will still be able to see her and talk with her thereby enlarging my fantasy." He chuckled while Aurora nodded before sliding into her thoughts.
This was going to be a good opportunity for her. What if she tried to make Allison a cheater with Jones? That could serve as a basis for Jason to send her away without feeling guilty or without any problems whatsoever. However, this would only be working out if Jones would be on board with her plans.
"Then I advise that you don't give up yet. She can still be yours."
Jones looked skeptical about that revelation, "Oh really? How is that possible?"
"I am not supposed to share this with you but I am going to trust you. The Alpha and The Luna have a shaky relationship. They often fight at the mansion and the Alpha doesn't like the Luna because his heart is already with someone else. The Alpha likes someone else even before meeting the Luna but because it's compulsory that his hair has to come from his fated mate, that's why he is keeping her with him. Once she gets pregnant, she will be cast away from the palace." She explained but Jones frowned,
"I don't see how this will be beneficial to me, Miss Aurora."
"Of course, it will be. At the time that she is lonely, you will swoop in like Superman and save her and be right by her side as she tries to heal from the brutal reality that she is in. Do you understand how that will work for you now?"
Jones nodded happily. He seems to be on board with the plan, "I hope that it will happen quicker than planned. How can I trust you?"
"Mr Jones, you simply have nothing to worry about. If you need my sister and you love her as you claim, then you will get her. Don't worry. The first step in getting closer to her is to become her business partner. Also, we have to make her look desperate for you and not the other way round so that when the 'secret' gets revealed, you won't be put in a bad spotlight."
"That's a good plan."
"So, is it a deal?"
"It's a secretive deal," Jones replied firmly and they both shook hands.
FLASHBACK ENDS.
"Let the battle officially begin," Aurora said to herself.
