'An abnormal orphan is a story about a girl who has abnormal eyesight, she was an orphan and unaware of her powers.

She was running in the dark, someone was behind her, although she was not able to see him, it was dark and quiet, the only sound was cracking of dried leaves under their feet then suddenly she stumbled by a stone and fell facedown, her pursuer has now approached her head. It was still dark she was laying on the ground face down when she felt a sharp pain embedded in her back, it was a sharp knife with which her pursuer stabbed her. With a jolt of pain and horror, she woke up. Oh! It was a nightmare again, she thought, she was laying on the floor under the open sky in the same dilapidated building she choose to hide. The night was cold her only belonging, her old torn dress she was wearing was unable to save her from cold. Her mouth was dried and her head was spinning with hunger and horror, at last, she was unconscious again. Her name was ANNA, she didn't know about her parents and family. She was brought up in an orphanage with many other girls in Texas, a state in the south-central region of the United States. She didn't know how she looks, as there was no mirror in that orphanage where she spend sixteen years of her life. There was a strange thing in an orphanage, every six months, three girls were selected and sent to town for work, and then they never came back. Anna was always astonished that where they had gone, but she could not ask the Incharge Lady of the orphanage about it, as she didn't like questions, she used to punish every girl who does anything against her commands or question her for anything. As Anna was growing up, she often has a nightmare that she is running in darkness and someone is chasing her with a knife in his hand, she always woke up from the dream, shivering and crying. One more thing she noticed while growing up was that her eyes were not normal. She can see across the walls, but because of horror she never tried to tell this to anyone in that orphanage. She thought that it was some kind of disease and the Incharge lady never spared anyone who fell ill. She was always shouting, "I don't want any sick soul in this building, anyone who is thinking of being ill, won't be allowed to stay here" Anna doesn't know where would she go if she would be kicked off from the orphanage. In all these circumstances, that day came when she turned sixteen, and to her extreme surprise, the Lady incharge smiled at her and also gave her a bowl full of Apple pudding and cream to eat. After a month of turning sixteen, Anna with two other girls of her age was called to Incharge's room. She told them that the next day they'll be sent to the town for work. There were lots of questions in her mind. What kinda work she is going to do? She doesn't know anything except cleaning, dusting, and washing. Any girl of the orphanage even don't do cooking, incharge herself made and distribute food among them. "Maybe I m going to have some work of cleaning and washing in some other orphanage". She thought, " Maybe I am going to learn some new skills" in all these thoughts and confusion she slept at last. The next day came, they were handed over a new gown to wear on their old clothes. They were ordered to take bath and be ready to go, they were confused but they obeyed quietly as there was no reason to ask as they are not allowed to question. After the sun has risen to heads, an old car approached the gate of the building. It was the very same car, that their in charge used to go to the town for groceries. All three of them were loaded into the car like lifeless things and the old man on the driving seat started the car's engine. They traveled for almost an hour, however, they could not judge the time or places as they don't have any watch and they never come out of the orphanage before. But it was a long journey after which they were brought to a house. It was a deserted place, they didn't see any house or person near it, they were moved in. It was a little house with two floors. There was a hall next to the kitchen, two rooms in front of the hall, and wooden stairs were leading to the first floor. A brown old rug had been laying on the floor. Hall had a sofa set in it. The kitchen had a big stove, some big cooking pots, and a full-sized deep freezer. There were many sharp and big knives hanging on the kitchen's wall. The hall was stinging with the smell of blood in its air. Rooms in front of the hall were locked, but as Anna was able to see across the walls, she could see that each room has a bed and a side table on which there were some books and a knife. The room on her right also had a LED tv hanging on its wall. They were ordered to sit down. When they were settled to the sofas, their driver left the place without saying another word shutting the door behind him. They were sitting there in silence, they even didn't dare to move or say a single word. Their hearts were pounding in their chests. Time was passing they were sitting there motionless. All three of them were lost in their thoughts when suddenly the main door opened and a man walked inside. He was a man of medium height and heavy body, having very cold blue eyes, his mouth was tightly closed as he was gritting his teeth. He looked at them and said, " So you are here", he paused for a while "now go to that room" he ordered pointing his finger towards the room on their left. Silently they stood up and moved towards the room he pointed at, the mas was coming after them. When they entered the room, the man locked the room from outside. They were a little shocked by the sudden shutting sound, they turned around and found the door locked now all of them were caught up in a room. With Anna's 'abnormal' eyes she could see that the man was now moving towards the kitchen. As he entered there, he took off two big knives and a chopper from the wall and started sharpening them with a knife sharpener. "What is he doing" Anna whispered with her eyes widened with terror. "What? What are you talking about?" The two other girls asked her in surprise? Anna then realized that she was looking behind the walls and nobody other than her could see it, and even the two girls didn't know about her abnormality. "No, it's nothing" she sighed and then settled herself to bed. The other two girls had followed her and now all of them were laying on the bed. Anna was seeing that the man was now preparing some drink in a jug. He was adding some ingredients from a jar to the jug, then he poured some water from a water bottle and started mixing it with a big spatula, after that he poured the drink into three glasses, then he set glasses in a tray and walked towards the room Anna was now seeing him unlocking the door. They heard the sound of the door opening, the man entered with a tray having three glasses. They all sat up. "Drink it" he ordered in a cold voice, offering them the glasses. Compelled with thirst, all of them pick a glass and started drinking. It was some kinda 'sherbet' with the same smell of blood she first felt in the hall. as she drank the liquid her head was started to spin and then she lay unconscious.
