Standing next to his brother, Aron gripped the metal railing as he looked down into the corral from an upper platform, watching as dark faerie wrangled peculiar beasts penned within the enclosure below. They were massive creatures, with cat-like forms, yet their outer skin consisted more of black and grey scales than fur. Though, they did have hair with tufts of red bursting from their necks and heads like a lion’s mane, framing a serpent-like face and a maw filled with bestial teeth from which it hissed in protest as the men forced leather mounts and bridles onto their bodies.
