The Rogue Luna

Chapter 4

 I woke up to light kisses going up and down my arm. With a slight moan I woke and turned around to Charlie blushing.

“Hello my beautiful mate.” I smiled. She smiled and glanced at my lips.

“Can I kiss you?” She asked nervously.

“Please do.” She leaned down and kissed me lightly before taking a deep breath and pressing her head against mine with her eyes closed.

“Is everything okay?” She nodded and opened her eyes. Her eyes were now golden and not the honey brown they usually were. Her wolf had taken over and that excited the s**t outta me.

“Well hello.” I smirked. She closed her eyes again and with a breath she opened them and quickly jumped so I was laying flat and she was on top, straddling me. She was breathing deeply with her eyes still closed. I placed my hands on her his and massaged circles into her hips

“Are you okay? Don’t push yourself.” I said sitting up and pulling her into a hug.I could feel her nod.

“I want to prove myself as your mate.” She softly said. I pulled away and looked at her.

“Please open your eyes.” She took a deep breath and opened them. “You have NOTHING to prove to me. We’re mates, we are equals. And we’ve known each other for less than a day. We have our whole lives to love, to hold and to prove ourselves to one another.” She nodded at my words before leaning her head against mine.

“Can I kiss you?” 

“Goddess yes.” She said and leaned into my lips. This one was so much softer than last night. She pulled away from my lips and kissed my jaw and down to the spot where she would mark me. She then licks, nips and sucks the spot causing it to erupt in sparks and making me moan in pleasure causing her to push me back onto the bed. 

“f**k, Charlie.” I moaned as she sucked the spot below my earlobe. She groaned while grinding against my leg. 

“Mark her or I will.” Ismene said, causing me to pull away the both of us breathing heavily.

“I’m sorry, Ismene is. Persistent right now.” I said with a breath.

“Why not allow it to happen?” Charlie asked, a bit hurt.

“It- It just doesn't feel right to me right now.” I told her truthfully, “I want it to happen when we have a place to call home, a place where we could raise pups.” I dreamed. 

“But this is my home. I’ve been here for years now.” She said becoming slightly offended.

“And maybe it will be mine, but right now its not. No one else even knows my name out there. And no one trusts me.” She was quiet for a minute. 

“I’m sorry I just got caught up in us.” She said avoiding my eyes.

“No, it's okay. You have nothing to apologize for. Its taking everything in me to not take you right now.” I spoke, holding her hands. She nodded and pecked me on the lips.

“Ismene, is she your wolf?” She asked. I nodded

“I think her name means wise or old or something.” I laughed.

“It means to respect me.” Ismene butted in joyfully.

“Whats your wolfs name?” I asked.

“Aaira.” She smiled.

“Thats a beautiful name.” I pondered. “What does it mean?”

“Respect and to be honard.” She blushed.

“A perfect name for a Luna.” I told her in pride.

“But I’m not a Luna.” She quickly rebutted.

“You can be.” I suggested.

“How?” She asked

“I’m not sure.” I laughed. “We could try to start our own pack.” I joked.

“Yeah totally, how would we do that?” She joked.

“I’m… not sure.” I trailed off. I mean I did mean it as a joke, but it wasn’t a bad idea. I think a pack just has to have an Alpha, Beta, Gamma and at least a couple pack members. This community probably isn’t a pack because they haven’t applied, or they don’t have the leaders. Unfortunately not everyone can be an alpha of a pack. There's a process to it. A blood pact. And its said that only Alphas can do it.

“A Luna can too.” Ismene spoke up.

“Can they really though? I’ve never heard of it happening.”

“Just because you haven't heard of it doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened.” She mused. “I was an Alpha-Luna in a past life.” She said, I gasped audibly.

“Is everything okay?” Charlie quickly asked concern on her face.

“Yeah, Ismene just informed me that she used to be an Alpha-Luna.” 

“Wait really? That's a real thing?” She asked.

“I guess so.” I shrugged. “We could always try to do some research. See what the laws are regarding females ruling a pack by themselves.” I suggested.

“And where could we do that?” She asked incredulously.

“Getting into another pack will be difficult. Since not only do I smell of rogue,” I said slightly disgusted. “But I’m sure my father has already told his allies of my sin” I rolled my eyes at the thought.

“I know there are human libraries and I'm not sure they would have books on wolves. I know of a couple that are wolf allied, so I might be able to work with them. Have them order a book or two from a pack.”

“You can do that?” She asked. I nodded. 

“I’m not sure, but its worth a shot.”

“Charlie.” Someone called from outside of the tent.

“One sec,” She told me, pecking me on the lips before going outside. 

“Rae, Jared wants to speak with you,” she said, poking her head in. I stood up, my shirt falling around my thighs again. Meeting Charlie's eyes showed me that they were gold with lust. “Here.” She said, grabbing a pair of what looked like biking shorts. “I don’t want anyone else seeing whats mine. She cooed looking innocently at me. I wanted nothing more than to see her ride me in that moment. To pin her to the wall and kiss every crevice of her body. Instead I pulled on the shorts, they were a tad small but covered my more important areas. As we walked out she grabbed my hand and kept me close to her. I didn’t mind as I was nervous as hell, and she helps keep me grounded.

“Hello.” I nodded my head to the guy who I spoke to last night.

“We have moved your car closer. It seemed to check out, however you did not tell us that the keys were buried.” He said, cracking a smile at the end.

“Oh. I’m sorry.” I laughed out loud.

“I am sorry that you were rejected from your pack and family. You are welcome to stay here, however we do ask you to contribute to keep the community safe.”

“Of course, I would expect nothing less.” I replied. “What time is it?” I asked as I realized that it was brighter out then I was used to.

“Its about noon. We decided to leave you to sleep considering the day you must have had.”

“I appreciate that.”

“Well theres not much of us here, but all of us are people who were kicked because of who we are. No one here has a history of violence and we have never attacked anyone for any reason. We are not a pack and most only stay because us wolves crave a community, but anyone is welcome to stay or to leave as long as they don’t cause trouble.” He explained as we walked around the camp. “This is Burt and his mate Sheldon; they too were kicked out of their packs when others discovered they were together.” They were mated and both had a swirling mark going down their necks. I wanted to study it more, but was pulled away by Charlie. I was introduced to everyone in the community, some when they discovered I was an alphas daughter gave a small bow. Most were shocked that I was kicked in the first place. There were only about 20 people in total. Most were adults, however there were about 5 or 6 teens who either ran away or were kicked out due to either being gay or making their families unhappy somehow. With how many people were here it made me wonder how many people were in the towns close by. Or how many people were alone and wandering.

“Why not stay in a town?” I asked curious.

“We don’t get our freedom in the city, We would have to pay to rent a place and we would never get to shift. Plus, humans reek.” Jared laughed. I chuckled in agreement. 

“I don’t mean to pry, but have you all ever considered making your own pack or maybe joining another?”

“Most of us have, but most packs won't accept us due to similar beliefs or because they see us as potential threats. And I’m sure you're aware why we can't become a pack.” He said over his shoulder as he walked up out of the community grounds. “I’ll take you to the outhouse and where you can wash up and then I’ll show you to your car.” He told me. He showed me where the out house was which was a good 150 feet away from the camp. And took me to a stream where we could wash up. It was a nice set up regarding the situation, but I couldn’t help but already want to leave. Take my mate and run. Try to find a pack that would accept us. But at the same time I wanted to take down my father. Take down any pack that had kicked anyone for them being themselves (As long as they hadn’t hurt anyone in their respective pack)

“What do you think? Charlie asked after Jared walked away.

“I’m gonna be honest. I’m 100% only here for you.” I told her grabbing her hands softly

“I know its not great, but its a place to start until we can get something better.” 

“And we WILL have our own home. Whether or not its in a pack.” I replied with promise in my voice.

“I wanted to run from here so many times, but I never knew where I would go, so I stayed. And I’m so glad I did now.” She smiled up at me. I slowly kissed her on the lips before pulling away.

“If its okay with you I do wanna try to find some research on ‘Alpha-Lunas’ and so on” I told her

“Yeah, yeah go for it.”

“Do you wanna come with me to town?” I asked her, I saw her eyes light up with excitement.

“Yeah!”

“Great, cause I’ll need my luna with me.” I smiled

“For what?” she asked, putting her arms around my waist.

“To avenge us and people like us. To put an end to this discrimnation.”

“Because I want revenge.”
