Amber asked Lily to leave to hospital.
Lily nodded her head and left from there.
Amber wiped her tears and face.
She knew she must be strong. The life is going to be tough for her. She understood it.
She should stay very strong and face everything.
She should leave immediately and do not have any time.
Amber decided that she will do whatever it takes to save her mother.
For that, if she must go to father and ask for help, she will do it.
Her father, Chris is the last person she wants to see in this world.
She never wants to see his face.
But she knew it is only him who can help him.
No one will lend one million dollars in this world to her. Who will believe her that she can repay them?
The bank also does not lend that much money to her. We need to show them proofs for that, and she do not have anything other than the house.
That does not even value 20% of the amount.
So, she knew banks also will reject her request.
The only option and hope she has is her father.
Amber booked the cab and went to her father home.
She stood at the gate and asked watchman to let her in.
The watchman never saw Amber before.
Moreover, she looked so haggard and broken.
Her hair is sticking to her face. Her clothes were wrinkled everywhere.
Her face is red and swollen from all crying.
So, watch man said, “Mam, our boss sees no one without appointment.”
“If you have his number, you can call him.”
Amber took out her phone. Then she realised she do not have his.
Yes, she never called him in her life.
She asked watchman, “Can you please give his number?”
The watchman hesitated. His boss will scold him if he gives his number to everyone.
Amber asked, “Okay, you please call them and tell them that Amber came to meet him.”
The watchman took pity for her.
He called the landline number.
On the otherwise, one woman picked the call.
Watchman informed to her that Amber came to meet them and if it is good to send her in.
Do not know what the woman on other side said.
Watchman cut the call.
Before Amber could ask him, what happened, she heard a familiar voice from inside, “Hey watchman, why you are allowing Beggers to stay gate? Don’t you know to send them away?”
Amber looked at the woman who said it.
There came a slim figure with blonde hair. Her aura is so cold and arrogant. She has a mole on the upper lip which is beautiful. The disgust has taken her beautiful face which is making her look red and ugly.
Amber looked at Ruby and said, “Ruby, Watch your words?”
Ruby came and stood in front of Amber.
She looked at Amber and said, “Oh! It is you. Amber. I thought some beggar came to my house for alms.”
“But it is you. Where is your arrogance and confidence? Did you leave it at home?”
“s**t, which is why I did not recognize you.”
Amber did not say anything. She knew it is not time for her to become angry. She does not have time to retort back.
She said, “Ruby, I have meet father.”
Ruby became very angry.
She said, “He is my father. Tell, “I have to meet your father.””
Amber said, “He is my father also. Do not forget it.”
Ruby said, “Shut up. He is not your father. You do not have right to say that.”
Amber clenched her fist to control herself.
“Your mother is bi…”
Before she could complete, she heard “Shut up” from behind.
Ruby rolled her eyes.
She knew who it is.
It is Chris.
Chris asked Amber to come inside.
Amber went inside. Chris asked her to sit on the sofa.
He asked the servant to bring something for Amber.
He also sat opposite Amber and said, “Tell me Amber. What can I do for you?”
“Why you want to meet me?”
Amber tried to control herself a lot. She does not want to show her weakness in front of him.
But. She could not control herself.
Tears formed in her eyes.
She said, “Mom, met with accident.”
Chris became shocked. He said, “What? Voilet met with accident. Why you did not inform before. You should have called me. How she is now?”
Amber lowered her head and said, “She is in very critical conditions. Doctors are saying she needs an immediate surgery. It may cost more than one million dollars and the survival chances are also only 1%.”
“Where can I get that much money?”
“So, I came to ask you.”
“Oh! So, you came for money?” Vivian, Chris’s wife said from behind.
Voilet closed her eyes in pain.
She came and sat beside Chris and said, “When you need money you need your father right?”
“You are just like your mother. You mother wanted Chris for money. She lured him for money, and you call him father for money.”
“Like mother like daughter.”
Amber is so angry. But she must control it.
She said, “Please dad, I need money urgently. I have time only till tomorrow morning.”
“Please help me.”
“I will work hard and return all your money. Please help me for this time.”
Ruby smirked and said, “Why waste money on person who we don’t even know if she will be alive or not?”
Amber felt like a sword was pierced into her heart.
Chris said, “Ruby, shut your mouth and go inside.”
Ruby stomped her feet and went inside.
Chris sighed and said, “Amber, I should help you. I also have responsibility towards violet. Though I did not care about violet all these years, I still care for her.”
“I also want to help her, but…”
But… Amber heart stopped at once.
This is her last hope and if Chris also rejects to help her, what she will do.
Amber asked, “What happened Dad?”
