Promises

Evie Pov: I could feel Alex and Chase weren't happy with me. Alex was yelling at Chase because he kept pacing back and forth. The motions in Alex's head were giving him a head ache and Chase would just growl and keep pacing. Both of them understood why I was saving Todd. They didn't like but they understood. H**l everyone in the pack wasn't liking it at all and we were doing everything in there power not to yell at their Luna. Again, like I said, they understood but they wanted justice for me and that filled my heart with warmth beyond anything I had ever experienced before. It did help to see Joe and Lucia become mates, after it gave a gleam back into everyone's eyes and a little distraction from what had recently happened. I could hear Alex in the back of my mind announce to everyone: "Everyone start clearing the mess, Sam lead this s**t to the dungeons like John said, Zach go release everyone from the bunker and let the kitchen staff to put out some food, tell the doc. will be bring him and his crew some injured to him as soon as possible, and tell my in-law to take Callie and the kids to my office." "Yes, Alpha," everyone said. Alex looked at me, "We'll talk to your father first and check in on the two claiming King and Queen first, then we will take care of this Todd. Once it's done, we can begin his execution immediately. Objection to that, Mate?" I looked at him and noticed Alex was salty about it but there was compassion behind his eyes, I also noticed Chase was now laying down in the corner weeping, "Please you two don't be hard on yourself and, yes, that will do. Any information we can get from my father and Todd will be great. We can understand how to proceed after this. Thank you guys for everything and I love you both." I could tell that helped. Alex nodded, "Anything for you love!" We walked along the stairs and through the kitchen as everyone was working feverishly to get food and things cleaned up. I mind-link the pack. "Sam make sure everyone is paid double for today. Everyone saved this pack and is working hard to clean up the after math as well. If it continues into tomorrow, please pay double tomorrow as well." "Yes, Luna," Sam said. I could tell everyone was thrilled by that. Omegea's bowed their heads with joy as I walked by. Alex's pack was pretty much like that anyway. The lower people who cooked, cleaned, and did everything around the pack house were paid a fair share and had homes of their own outside and around the pack house. Nobody lived in horrible commandations. That was another thing I loved about this pack and of Alex. Alex would just laugh at me and say that's how his parents raised him. But I disagree. It was definitely because he had a wonderful and generous heart. We made it to his office and opened the door. As soon as I stepped in I was slammed with a big hug. I looked down to see Bella. At first, when I saw her outside after her speedy growth spurt, I was shocked and wasn't sure what to make of it. The Moon Goddess knows how to surprise us in many different ways, I decided. Now looking closely at her, I have time to look at all the markings that are now tattooed on my baby's body. I looked her up and down, checking all the spots closely, never letting my smile fade. I was pleased that Mother Moon learned her lesson and left out the Succubos tattoo of my child. Good, I thought. "Are you okay, Mom?" Bella asked. It did surprise me a bit to hear a two-year-old talk like an adult, but I was sure this was part of the Goddess's Plan as well. I nodded at her, "Are you?" "Yes, I am scared of everything, but I'm willing to accept and keep going" she said. So much like Mara, I thought, "We'll do it together if you want, I will never leave your side and between me and your father will be there for you." Bella's face lit up, "I know it, but Dylon may need dad more in the werewolf department." Dylon barked, "Yeah now, you'll need him too." Bella giggled at him, "Well you do,. Besides, dad is a strong warrior. You can learn from him and his crew." Dylon sighed, "Point taken, but you do know you can't always have the last say." I giggled at them, "You two are already acting like mates. It warms the heart." Alex growled, making me laugh even more, "Hush honey I didn't mean they should mate, yet. They are way too young but they are already close to being inseparable, which is a wondrous thing." Bella giggled as Dylon was turning bright red like a tomato. Dylon cleared his throat and added, "I will not Mate with Bella until we are of age Alpha." Alex smirked at that, "Promise." I rolled my eyes when Dylon and Bella both responded, "Promise." Alex was full grinning now like he had just gotten his favorite candy. Little did he know that their promise wasn't going to last that long. I mean look at them now, their already age two years in one day because they we're need. We didn't really have an idea of how fast they would be gowning from here. Plus, the look on my father's face was an indication of the fact that that promise might be short-lived just confirmed my suspicions on the fact. Alex glared at him and dad had to cover his mouth to not bust a gut. I shook my head, took my girl's hand and went to the seats next to Alex. "Now please father, tell us what is going on," I asked. My dad nodded and began: "Well, we know everything about how the Garudians started. Right?" He gave a quick brief about how the Garudians began. Once, everyone was caught up. "My father at first was a good man." he stated, "He led his people to this area to end a war between other werewolves overseas. He wanted to start the American dream that everyone who came over here at that time wanted. The werewolves settled in here nicely and when wars started with other supernaturals, everything changed. The war was starting and the werewolves were losing. Before, the idea of mages was a working project and, for the King's mind, even if he had gotten the mages on his side, he needed more help. He went to a shrine to the east. It was said that it held a God, that wasn't the Moon Goddess, that he had power to help with other supernaturals. But this did not sit well with the King's Wolf. He begged him to listen and told the King not do it, but the King ignored him." "Big mistake," announced John. Everyone looked at him weirdly, "I'm not a werewolf, but even I know better than to go against a wolf; I call mine. Besides, humans are st**p and we're even worse when we don't listen to the smarter part of us." All the wolves in the room shouted, "Smartman!" Which made me chuckle and the human wolves just rolled their eyes and their counterparts. "Well, anyway, the King made a promise that he would go there just to listen to what this God had to say and it was told that both King and his wolf agreed in the end. The King went to this temple and as soon as he stepped in, the King couldn't hear his wolf. He try and try, and soon he decided to complete what he went in there to do. He talked to this God and realized it was a demon, not a God. The demon told him that if the King let him in, then he could help protect his kingdom and that he would make the war end and have the supernatural world think twice about ever starting a war with him again. So that they would bow to the King. That the King would be ruler of all. But see my dad didn't want to be ruler of everything, he just wanted peace with everyone and a way to protect his pack. The King refused the demon's offer. As soon as he was out of the temple, he tired to contact his wolf, again nothing. He tried for two days and heard nothing, not a word from him. The King turned angry at the demon, who somehow took his wolf and now he was going to pay dearly for it. The King returned to the temple and demanded that he return his wolf. Which was told that the demon just laughed at him and told him the only way he could get him back was to do a ritual to bring him back, that if he didn't the King would be wolfless for the rest of his miserable life. The King was heartbroken and wanted his partner back, so he did the ritual. Even knowing there was a chance for something to go wrong. The scholars there warned him not that they wanted to look into this demon, but the King was lost without his wolf and did it anyway. When the ritual was done, the temple became quiet and the scholars claimed the King transferred his wolf and the demon into him. The scholar stayed behind to study the temple. After years of years of torment to his people, my brother and I were trying to figure out how to defeat him. We enter the temple to find these scholars. They gave us an unhappy report. They reported that this was not a temple for God's but a temple made by a god to hold one of his sons. These demon wasn't any ordinary demon, but a fallen angel." I noticed that everyone went silenced now. Everyone looked like they were in thought about this news until Jake asked, "But that doesn't make sense, does it? If we're just settling down in this area, how on earth was there all ready a temple for him?" My dad chuckled at this, stating a well dud moment, "Because it was made by the true people that were here before the settlers came." "Native Americans," I said, in awe. "Yes," my dad nodded, "The true wolf's and magic holder of the US before any of us came. They had worked with each other to create a way to stopping the falling angel first. They worked with the Moon Goddess and others to put them in a way into safe keeping. But my dad let that demon go and not only did we let him go, we let his brother-sister out as well." I felt crunch with confusion, "Others?" My dad nodded, "Yes, there was just one other. Can you guess their names?" Everyone was silent. I thought there were so many in history of fallen angels and, frankly, I never thought about looking into them. I researched every other demon that I could but honestly never thought about it. " Why would the Moon Goddess help if it wasn't her children?" My dad laughed again, stating "Because, my dear, the wolves that we're all ready here, we're still her children and we all know that the Mother will protect us, no matter where we come from. If we our hers, then we have her as protector." I nodded, then Lucia cleared her throat and announced, "The only demons that I know in history that were fallen angles and demons would be Lucifer, Beelzebub, and Astaroth." "Like in the sons of the seven?" I asked. Lucia nodded her head, "Yes. I guess you can compare them to the seven sins from the bible but that's the human version of it, but in our supernatural world, there are only three sons. But the others hop between humans and the supernatural. Now what I know, Lucifer played around the Greek area and was banished to the pits of h*ll and, in a sort was bonded there at the same time the temple was made, unless his father or one of his brothers gained him access to the living world. Which I'm pretty sure they did not and was sentenced to suffering decades of punishment . So I think we can safely say he's still there." Everyone nodded. Dad added, "My father's demon I'm pretty sure was Beelzebub. What I know, when my brother and I were learning how to fight them, it was Beelzebub who was compared to Gultonie or envied demon. He wants everyone and their powers. To have the mages by his side and just serving him seemed to add up to every background of texts and history we could find. When we won against Beelzebub, I believe he was sentenced to the same punishment as Lucifer. Hadies doesn't take well of failure and dishes out a pretty big torment to anyone who service him and it's worse when you concerned family." "So Kara has Astaroth then?" I asked. "Makes sense, doesn't it?" Lucia asked. I shrudded, not sure if it does and I could see her roll her eyes at me in confusion, "Astaroth is compared to being lustful and can transform between male or female." "Well, that's sure sums that out, doesn't" my dad girn. "Great, so Beelzebub made promises to your dad and did not keep them because of greed and wanted more" I answered. Dad nodded with a calculated look over at me. "So note of today, kids don't make promises you can't keep" Matt announced while Alex growled at him from his desk, thinking the same as I did with the promises he just made to the youngest ones in the room. Everyone laughs. Many questions still need answering.
