Chapter 2 Them

I woke up in a warm bed. My body was aching. Pain. Marilyn was hurting as well by the sound of it. We'll be okay. I said. There wasn't much to say. Melinda opened the door quietly. "Oh deary your awake," She said with a smile. She walked towards me closing the door with her foot and set a tray with food in front of me as I sat up on the bed. I looked around the room as Melinda sat on the edge of the bed. "Melinda. Who's room is this?" I asked.      "Please call me granny. It's one of my grandson's," She spoke. I nodded. "Granny can I get up. I need to walk around. I feel like I have been in bed for ages," I said. She nodded and got up and moved the tray. "Thats cause you have been asleep for 3 days," She said. I nodded and put it off thinking nothing of it. I got up slowly and realized that I was just in a robe. "Your clothes are in the corner of the room on the chair," She said and closed the door. I slowly walked over to the corner and grabbed my bag. I set it on the bed and pulled out some leggings and an over sized t-shirt along with some personal clothing. It took about 15 minutes to put on my clothes as I was struggling the whole time, because of my aching body.      I slowly walked outside of the room and down the hall. I turned the corner to see stairs. leading down to the first floor of the house. I slowly walked down them. About a few steps down I tripped and expected impact, but I noticed someone caught me. "Hey little sis," He said. I looked up at the unknown person. "L-Little sis?" I questioned. He chuckled at my confusion. "Your not the only one who had to deal with the wrath of Miles, but our mother had died he then found a new mate and we left," He said. "We?" I asked. He nodded and picked me up bridal style. "All 4 of us as soon as Tommy turned 12 we left. I was 14 at the time. You were around 8 at the time and since Dad's new mate kept you from us we never knew you existed until today," He said. I nodded. I looked at him with my full attention this time. His hair was jet black and his jawline was prominent. His eyes were a deep gray. "Take a picture it'll last longer," He said smirking. I rolled my eyes and giggled. He walked over to the living room and sat me down on the couch. "By the way my name is Jax. The twins here are Maddox and Grey and of course Tommy," He said lastly as he ruffled a guy's hair. "Rainn. Your brother's ceremony is later today. Why don't you pay a visit?" Melinda said from another room. "Brother?" Maddox asked. I nodded and sighed. "That brat turned 19 a few days before my birthday," I said. Jax looked confused. "I thought the old man died. Why the hell not? We'll go with you," He said.      I thought about for a moment and nodded. It was about 2 in the morning and none of us were tired so we decided to past the time with board games.      About 10 hours later we were on our 5 round of monopoly. "Look at that. time to get ready," Maddox said. I nodded and went up to the room I was originally in before. Grey then walked in a few seconds later with out a shirt. "You don't talk much do you?" He asked me. I looked at him and went back to my bag. "I could ask you the same thing," I spoke softly. He pulled out a box and looked at me. "Here have these," he said. I looked at him confused and walked over to the box and opened it. It was filled with clothes. I pulled out a black pair of jeans and looked at the size. "Where did these come from?" I asked. "They were some clothes my mother left here for who ever needed them. You look the size so I am giving them to you," He said. I nodded and threw the jeans over my shoulder and pulled out a black tang top and a leather jacket. He tossed some combat boots and I caught them. He grabbed some clothes and left the room. I got dressed quickly as the pain in my body barley hurt at all.      I walked down stairs. I walked over to the hallway where the front door is. They were all outside. I walked outside and looked at them. Jax put something in my hand. "Put this on," He said. I looked at it and a necklace was in my hands. I put it on and it was a black and white crystal. A gift from family usually means you are protected for as long as they live. Marilyn said. I nodded and smiled. I looked at it again and read the rim. It said: "Always and forever our little sister!" I smiled. I put the necklace beneath my shirt and nodded as I was ready to go.      We walked in the direction of the clearing where the ceremony was going to be held. The best part is I didn't feel tired at all. Considering I slept 3 days straight. We kept walking and soon got there. It was taking all my might to kept Marilyn at bay.      Once we got there they were congratulating Luke on finally being alpha. People must have noticed we were here because they were staring at us. Miles had walked up to me and looked at me "You're not welcome here hybrid," He said. I smirked. "Hybrid really?" I laughed and walked away. The elder walked up to me as well and smiled. "Its nice to meet you. I can see your not a rogue by the necklace," He said. I nodded and smiled.      Soon a strong scent of eucalyptus and fresh rain hit my nose. I looked around and soon my eyes landed on him. Mate.
