Luna zipped up her bag, the soft sound of the zipper echoing through the quiet room. Her eyes scanned the space, taking in the vacant chairs and scattered papers. The energetic buzz that the summit brought had dissipated, leaving an eerie silence. Her gaze drifted to the ruffled spot on the bed where Luke usually lay, the faint scent of his cologne still lingered. A pang of disappointment settled in as she remembered she hadn't seen him all day, and his absence–surprisingly–stung. He'd left without a word. Luna's thoughts strayed back to her presentation.
