Luna woke up with a gentle blink, her eyes slowly unfurling as her alarm rang through the room. She turned and reached over to silence it, her hand brushing against the soft hotel sheets. Three days had passed since she'd shared the room with Luke, and surprisingly, the arrangement hadn't been as awkward as she thought it would. Luke's daily routine helped. He'd wake up before dawn, quietly taking what he needed and slipping out while she slept. In the evenings, he'd wait outside until she'd finished taking a shower.
