My Wrong Bride

Shreya's POV "Anu, it's getting late we will miss the bus, come fast.", I am calling my sister from last five minutes but she is as always late. " Let's go, else the teacher will punish me", Anu said while running towards the gate while making funny expressions. It's hardly five minutes walk from our house to the bus stop, luckily we catch the bus on time. It's my daily routine, first I'll drop her to school and then I walk to my office where am working as receptionist for a small hotel. Still it's hard to fulfill everything, so am looking for another job where I could work from home as I need to take care of Anu as she is only 11 years old. After half an hour we reached our stop and got down the bus. She loves to carry her favorite water bottle in her hand while going to school. We crossed the road and suddenly she tugged her hand out of mine and ran in the direction we came from, just then I saw a car coming in her direction and in another second her body flew and lands in another side of road in pool of blood. All these happened in a split second that I got rooted in the spot and the shouting of the people around bought me to the world. I ran towards her because she is only the one left in my life whom I could call mine, I can't lose her. A lady came out of the card that hit my child and she offered to take her to hospital and at that time I am unable to think rationally just she matters to me. We admitted her to the hospital and her treatment is going on, my clothes are full of her blood and I am in the hospital waiting for the doctor to come out so that I could hear that she is fine, she is okay and with me. After some time a doctor came towards us, "Please come to my cabin, Ms. Reddy" Whenever I heard this line on the television series it means something too serious. "No no God please you can't do this with me, I can't handle anything.", I prayed in my heart feeling that now only he is my last hope. With dreaded steps I knock the door and entered the doctor's cabin, whereas all the worst scenarios are running in front of my eyes which I am trying to shake off. "Please have a seat Miss Reddy" The doctor asked me to sit may be seeing my expressions. "It's serious, so please listen with calm mind, have water." He exclaimed while forwarding the glass towards me. With shaky hands I took a huge gulp and nodded preparing myself for the worst. "Ms. Reddy due to accident, blood clots on her brain which is stopping her body to respond. We need to do a surgery immediately else.. " He stopped while am feeling edginess in myself suddenly as I started tearing up. " .. Else it could lead her to coma or more she could be paralyzed throughout her life which is equals to death. " He continued making my heart drop and a loud sob escaped my lips unknowingly. I still am trying to digest everything as in just few hours and my world collapsed all over, may be when our parents died I still had reason My Anu to live but now...
