Marianne Clumsily walked into the office, dropping all the files she was carrying, and alerting the CEO, who seemed not to have noticed her walk in, because his office chair was facing away from the office entrance. Kelvin was on what seemed to be a very serious phone call, and soon he suddenly paused, hearing the sound of the files heavily dropping to the ground. “Can I give you a call back, Mr. Mark?” he said gently, dropped the phone, and walked towards Marianne, who was shaking and trying to pick up all the files. “And you are?” Kelvin asked nonchalantly, not really trying to help her with the files. “Marianne Beck, sir, your new secretary, and I am sorry about this." He gave her a sharp look, ignored her apology, and continued. “Board meeting is by 2 PM; get the presentation ready if you would like to retain your job as my secretary.” "Yes, sir, I will get to it immediately," she responded in fear. Kelvin gave her a fiery look, then walked out almost immediately as Marianne gazed at his tall, masculine body and hurried to catch up. She has always had a huge crush on Kelvin, the heir to the Quinn fortress. Even though this was her first time meeting him, a part of her believed he was her soulmate in a past life. Marianne sighed, exhausted from her first day, she couldn't wait to get her beauty rest. As she left the office building, her mind wandered. "Why did I have to drop those files?"
