Elina's POV
We had just a delivery and the library desks were filled with boxes. Everyone was busy doing their tasks as was I. I started to realize that Kaleb has been a little distant for the past few days. I know that me meeting up with Dane affected him a lot. He hasn't mentioned it since we spoke about it and it was a bit awkward.
A couple of days ago Dominique called him 'dad' and his demeanor changed. He became awkward even though she had called him that once or twice on her drawings. I didn't want him to be uncomfortable so I insist she stayed with me for the day. He was a bit sad but I had already made the decision.
Today I made lunch so we could have lunch in his office since he has been busy. I know eating lunch together is our thing and we didn't do that for the past two days
