The Plan

"Do you want to keep hiding? Or do you want to keep avoiding them when they are the ones who did wrong to you?" Asher provoked, glaring at her so that she could feel the intensity. Eloise felt the rage building up inside her. Why should she hide while they partied hard? "What do you have in mind?" she asked, curious. Her eyes popped out. She was more attentive to what Asher had to offer. Asher smirked, feeling better. He wanted to punch Drake's face for cheating on Eloise. But he had something better in mind that would hurt him even more. "Let's go where they are now and give them a taste of their medicine," Asher suggested, surprising Eloise. But soon, an evil laugh rolled through her lips. Maybe it was her lucky day! She found out about those cheating asses, and now Asher Williams offered his help to make them jealous. Who would be better than the most desired man in the city? Everyone is going to burn when she walks inside the pub hand in hand with Asher. Her face brightened when she imagined her walking like a diva with Asher. But soon, it fell when she looked at her swollen ankle. She should have settled for the pink dress. And what damage can she do with that limping leg? Asher was confused. She seemed delighted a moment ago. So what was the problem now? Was she hesitating? "What happened?" He queried, worried when he saw her pale face. He couldn’t pay attention to the road when Eloise looked disappointed. "My leg." She sighed, holding back her tears. "Isn't it better if I would carry you instead of walking beside you?" Asher chuckled. Eloise's face brightened. It was like she was in a dream or utopia. " Would you do that?" "Yes," Asher smiled, happy to see her smiling again. "I can't believe it. Not only Drake and Isla, but everyone is going to die of jealousy. After all, the most coveted man-" Eloise was talking in a dreamy voice, her body playing along. She was excited about doing some damage. But she stopped speaking when she realized she was talking too much, too loud. She swallowed hard, blushing a little when she saw Asher's amused face. "So you think I am desirable?" Asher chuckled, making her face red. Eloise tried to hide her face, looking outside the window, but it was too late. And then her face turned pale again. " Everyone will think I am a rescue case when I look like this!" she complained, checking her face and hair in the mirror. Asher wasn't sure what Eloise was saying because he had always considered her beautiful. But he didn't bother to correct her. Instead, he took her to a parlor nearby. "What kind of fortune do I have for Mr.William to walk in here?" A girl with a ponytail and wearing high heels asked. She had black hair, unlike her chocolate brown hair. "Eloise, you can trust Zena completely. She is the best in the business." Asher praised Zena, who smiled at him warmly. "You mean Zena Sandra? Is she really available to do my makeup?" Eloise stuttered, unable to believe her fate. Her mouth hung open, shocked. Zena was the most sought-after makeup artist in the city. People had to make a prior appointment to get her time. And even if they get her time, she would cost them a fortune. It was indeed her lucky day. "Yes, the Zena Sandra." Asher chuckled. "I expect nothing but the best from you." He was sweet to Zena, making Eloise feel a little envious for no reason. As if he read through her, he bends a little to whisper in her ear, "She is gay." Eloise gawked at Zena, but when she saw Asher chuckling, she avoided him. She was flustered, feeling a little nervous. “I am entrusting her with you,” Asher told Zena, leaving the room. Eloise sighed with relief, patting her face to get some air. It was as if Zena knew what Eloise was going through. She had that confident shimmer in her eyes, and Eloise trusted her utterly for her makeover. When Zena finished, Eloise couldn't recognize herself. She looked like a high-end model from the Paris fashion show. But that dress she was wearing was not fit for a pub. Just then, Zena brought the pink body-hugging dress they had bought earlier. It was everything she needed now. But could she accept it after blatantly refusing to take it earlier? "Asher insisted." Zena handed her the bag. Eloise had a moment of hesitation, but it faded away soon when the photos Isla had sent flashed through her head. It was her right to be selfish for a day. She decided she would pay for it, eventually. She did not care about the price tag anymore. That dress is for her. Her broken heart needed that dress to feel more confident. When Asher saw Eloise, he felt like he couldn't breathe. She was breathtaking. Now he understood what she meant when she said she couldn't go to the pub with him without makeup, even if he wouldn't mind. He wondered if everybody would be jealous because he was with the most beautiful girl. He felt like Drake was stupid to let go of such a fascinating woman. "Wear this," Asher opened a neatly wrapped box. He had a bright smile on his face. His shimmering eyes made him look even more handsome. "Why?" Eloise didn't want to cry, but teardrops threatened to fall from her eyes. She couldn't help but feel touched. He was so kind to her. He even noticed something like her dirty shoes. "Are you my prince charming?" Eloise mumbled, feeling a flutter in her heart. If she hadn't felt attracted to this man before, she would have found him absolutely attractive at that moment. She had met no one more considerate and warm. Asher bends over, lifting her leg to make her wear the white sneakers. He looked up, meeting her teary eyes. "I would be glad to be your prince charming, Cinderella."
