Rosa’s round eyes stared at the night sky through the vast window, the moon casting a cold glow over the garden. The silence felt heavy, almost suffocating, as she clutched the window frame with trembling fingers.
“It’s so cold.” she murmured, eyes still locked on the moon. The soft glow reminded her of her mother, beautiful and distant, just like the moon.
Honk—honk!
Rosa blinked, her stare shifting toward the main gate. A car entered, headlights slicing through the darkness. One of the guards stepped forward, pulling the huge gate open.
Her breath hitched. He’s back!
Her heartbeat quickened as she gripped the window frame tighter. The moonlight spilled over her soft skin, making her eyes gleam. She watched the car until it disappeared from view, a small pout tugged at her lips.
“This isn’t a dream?” Rosa whispered to herself, glancing at her fingers as if trying to convince herself.
“Got to wait.” she murmured, moving away from the window. She lay flat on the bed, legs straight, hands resting over her stomach. The huge bed made her look even smaller.
She sighed softly, wondering how it would feel to lie beneath the open sky with only the moon and stars above her.

Rosa stood outside a large door, fingers nervously fidgeting. Before his room.
“Should I knock or not?” she muttered under her breath. It had been ten minutes, and she was still there, frozen, too scared to face his cold eyes.
“Yes, no, yes, no…” she mumbled again, pressing her palms against the door. “Yes or no—”
“What are you doing here?”
His deep voice sliced through the silence. Rosa froze, her heartbeat hammered as a tall shadow loomed behind her, his presence heavy and chilling.
Rosa didn’t dare turn. His shadow fell over her small frame, close enough to feel the heat radiating from his body. She looked at her palms pressed against the door. The shadow seems to come closer, really close! Right behind her!
His body almost in touch with her back. She could feel him towering above her.
Rosa slowly looked over her head, still standing with her hands pressed against the door. He was so tall that he loomed over her, his presence towered above her head. He was gazing down at her, making her feel even smaller under the weight of his stare.
As her gaze met his, Rosa realized just how close he was, standing there, gazing down at her with an intensity that made her heart race.
Where did he come from?
Wasn’t he in his room?
Killian’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Is there anything you want?”
His voice was low, his eyes narrowing as they locked onto the top of her head. He stood so close, waiting for her to answer.
Rosa removed her hands from the door, her movements slow and hesitant before she turned to face Killian, her shaky eyes lifting to meet his blues. Killian stood in a black t-shirt and grey sweatpants, his hair falling over his forehead.
Rosa’s round bambi eyes, wide with awe, and her parted lips gave her a cute, innocent look as she admired him.
She forgot, it wasn’t her imagination, it was him, standing right infront her.
Killia’s left eyebrow lifted, amused, his blues gazing intensely at the cute expression she made without even knowing. She was literally checking him out in such adorable way.
“Do you like what you see?” his lips curved into a smirk.
The words made her cheeks flush bright red. Rosa immediately shook her head side to side with straight head in which he raised his eyebrow.
“Liar, aren’t you?”
His deep vocal husked taking a step forward closing the distance, making her stiff. She again shook her head in the same way, he chuckled.
Rosa shook her head again, and he chuckled quietly.
“Why are you here?”
Rosa fidgeted with her fingers, eyes glimmering nervously. “I-I wanted to go to work, but the guards didn’t let me.” she complained.
Rosa made a confused face when he hummed, his eyes peered at her soul before he grazed out “So?”
Rosa looked at him, dumbfounded. What did he mean by ‘so?’
Isn’t he going to say anything? Wasn’t he the one who gave those orders?
“I.. I want to go to work.” she finally whispered. Her eyes looked back and forth in his eyes, nervous yet searching for emotions in his eyes but empty!
Killian’s gaze stayed calm. His eyes serene with a hint of coldness. They scanned her face for a while, Rosa looked cute. Really cute.
Rosa’s eyes slowly trailed down from his face to his broad chest. The black t-shirt he wore clung tightly to his well-built frame, emphasizing his strength. He looked effortlessly intimidating.
Killian moved closer, and “Ah-” Rosa flinched, stepping back until her back hit the door.
Rosa opened her eyes and looked up, her eyes came in contact with his, he was right before her face, leaning down at her and looking straight at her eyes.
“And?” he vexed through his deep vocal.
Rosa’s heart pounded.
Nervousness took over her, Rosa was stiffening. She couldn’t bear the closeness, not with her heart on the verge of bursting.
Her lips trembled and fresh tears began to blur her vision. Her chest rose and fell rapidly, and the sight made Killian’s brow twitch.
Her heart ached seeing his eyes on her. She couldn’t say anything. The feelings, the deep emotions in her heart started to spread in.
Killian's expression darkened when his eyes landed on the tears slowly tracing down her cheeks.
Rosa’s lips curved down when he looked straight at her teary eyes. Killian’s numb eyes gazed at the tears. Why is she crying?
Rosa gulped, feeling embarrassed at her own timid nature. She raised her tiny palms and immediately wiped her eyes.
Killian intensely watched her.
Wiping her face with her palms, Rosa looked at him. Her cheeks flushing due to embarrassment.
‘He probably thinking why i just cried, Rosalie is such a fool.’ she thought, staring at him.
“So scared, aren’t you?” he murmured.
Rosa nodded weakly, hiding her face.
“I wanted to go to work... b-but the guards said I’m not allowed. They said it’s your order. So, I came to take your permission.” she stammered.
Killian exhaled slowly. He already knew, Chris had informed him. Still, he watched her quietly.
“Why do you need to work when I took your responsibility?” His voice was low and controlled, almost testing.
“I like working.” Rosa said hesitantly, catching glances at him nervously. Killian looked around.
“i’ll inform them but—” he paused making her curious.
“One of my men will drop you to work every day.”
Rosa blinked, confused. “W-why?”
His eyes darkened. “Because I ordered it!”
His words were firm as if he doesn’t care about her consent about anything.
“And you’re going to attend your classes from tomorrow.” he added. It was as if he was ruling her life, as if he owned every part of it to control.
Rosa completely forgot about her studies in the past few days. All she had been doing was spending her nights and days lost in thoughts and tears.
She nodded again, her gaze downcast.
“Go to your room. It’s already past midnight.” he uttered strictly.
“Good night.”
Rosa looked up, surprised by his words. He wished her night! Her eyes softened. Her lips hardly controlling its smile.
“G-good night.” she mumbled looking at him through her innocent eyes.
She could hear her heartbeat at the moment.
With a nervous gulp, Rosa turned to leave, even though her heart was silently pleading not to go.
Killian watched her until she disappeared into her room.
“Tsk!”
He clicked his tongue and shook his head before stepping inside his own room.
