Chapter 77

Jake’s POV,

"I'll be there at 8 tomorrow morning. Be ready till then. I'll take you to try out some dresses for the engagement afterwards."

I read his messages. He is actually pretty thoughtful. Mom know how busy he is, so she won't feel bad about it. Yet he is freeing his schedule to give the invitation to her. I know he won't be able to get much sleep tonight yet he wants to go with me to try the dresses.

So I texted him back,

"It's okay Xabert we can do this later. You should not exhaust yourself too much. Get some sleep. Mom understands. Call me when your meeting is done. Have your dinner. Miss you. Love you."

When we first started dating, I was scared that my feelings might not be that strong for Xabert. I was scared that the attraction might fade away with time. He was so popular I was even scared to say I love you in dreams. But being with him made me a more free of a person. I can say anything to him. Just like you can share anything with your friends or with your family. I felt the same way with Xabert.

I think I am really poor at judging people. I thought Xabert was just playing with me. When it wasn't the case at all. When I was drowned in the sadness and anxiety from the thoughts of getting rejected, I didn't knew that he was having the same feelings.

I loved me like know one can and he was always respectful towards me. He always supported me like a family member would do. That is the reason my feelings for him grew deeper and strong. We became somehow inseperable along the way. I wish we'll be like this our whole lives. I am somehow confident about this.

Anyways I quickly take a shower and brushed my teeth. I wore the night dress and went to Cristian's room. He was scrolling through the Netflix in the TV.

"Did you find the movie yet?" I asked him.

"What about we watch some a horror movie? You up for it?" He asked me.

"Of course you know I'm a sucker for horror movies." I told him.

"Okay choose then. Lights out, The nun, IT second chapter or the tall grass. " He said.

"I've seen the nun and lights out. Let's see the tall grass then. "

"Okay wait here I'll make some popcorn. Wait five I'll be back." He said and went out of the room.

When he was gone I made myself comfortable on his bed. I was scrolling through my phone to pass some time until he comes. And soon he came holding a tub of popcorn in one hand and chocolate Box in other hand.

"What chocolate is that?" I asked Cristian.

"Dark chocolate is for you since you like it. It's sugar free. And almost milke chocolate for me. Now make some space for me too. I gonna lay down too." He gave me my chocolate and came to the other side of the bed to lay down as I make some space for him too.

We watched the movie. It was good but I won't say that I am too scared from it. For me watching a horror movie means that I won't be able to step out of the bed for atleast an hour but it wasn't the case this time.

I picked my phone from the side table near the bed to see what time it is. The clock was striking 3 AM in it. Cristian was asleep. He must have been really tired. He is working hard I know. I went out of the bed to sleep in my. Sleeping in bed with him will make him uncomfortable. He is a huge guy afterall he needs more space.

I was almost in my room when I saw my phone was ringing. It was Xabert. The phone rang once and went off. I quickly call back him.

"Hello, Xabert. Why did you suddenly cut the call? Did you called me by mistake?" I asked on the phone.

"Oh you are awake. I thought you must've have asleep now. So I called once. I knew if you were awake you'll call me back." He answered.

"You know me and Cristian always watch movies together whenever we can. So we were watching the movie. It just got over. Good thing you called now, I was about to sleep.

"Good thing you haven't sleep yet. Now come and open the door", he said shocking me.

"What you are here? Wait I'm coming." I quickly ran to the main door.

"Hey, your meeting ended early?" I asked.

"Yeah, everything went pretty smoothly. So it get over quickly. What about you how was your day?" He asked.

"It was good. but did you have dinner?" I asked him worried.

"Of course I did. Don't worry i had it before the meeting started." He answered.
