Chapter 84 Jake’s POV "Mr. Watson, Mr. Watson please share how you feel about your father's announcement of you being the next CEO of Watson Ordnance. We have heard before that your father is planning on retirement and you will take over his position afterwards. Are you going to quit your position as the CEO of your IT firm and take over your father's company? Or are you planning to refuse your father's intentions? Please answer us Mr. Watson." The media has been going ballistic over my dad's announcement of me being soon to be the next CEO of Watson Ordnance. Dad always expect me to took over his company. He did everything he could for me and I should do the same now for him. Dad doesn't know that the IT firm I own and the CEO of is just a cover for my actual work. Only few people know about it. My real work is highly confidential. No one in my family knows it either. They shouldn't know about it either. It is for the security of many innocent lives. But I don't think I can refuse my father's wishes. If he wants me to be the CEO then so be it. Even if I have to dodge between the two world I would do that. I should do that. It's because of him that I am alive and well. He adopted me when I was five year old. Not just me but also my twin brother. He adopted us, gave us shelter, love and everything one could only wish for. He loves me so much and I know he still thinks that it was his fault that my brother died. I neither want to refuse him nor to hurt him. I am now his only son. He needs to lean on me and love the life he has the way he want not the way people wants him. "I am going to take the position dad think I deserve. While I'm still skeptical. While I grew up I always saw how hard dad worked for this company. He started with nothing other than mom's hand in his hand. He sacrificed all his dreams and wishes for the good of his company and employees. I've seen how many nights he worked continuously without a singles wink of eyes. How many occasions he has to miss and be at work. Now I want dad to slow down and enjoy the things he had missed along the way. Now it's my turn to make it grow even bigger and show dad that his trust in me didn't go to waste. That his trust and faith in me, and his dream for this company will only grow bigger with time. Thank you." I stood up from my chair as the press conference concluded. I left the hall and went back to my office. I am working on a case. And before I move to my dad's company I have to get it done.
