Chapter 79

Jake’s POV

I was going there to see Xabert but I guess he was in the changing room, I saw John standing looking at a few outfits. There was also a a male staff standing in the far corner. He was looking at me. I don't know but the way he was looking it was more like he was glaring at me. He gaze was weird. The aura he was giving was very intimidating.

He was tall and builted. He was more like a model. he didn't looked like someone who needs money. He looked rich, but he was wearing the staff's uniform. Uhh leave it.

"Hey John! Where is Xabert?" He is trying on an outfit that will go with the dress you are wearing.

"Okay will it take long?" I asked him.

"Just a minute or two." He said.

"Okay, do you think this dress look good? I like it a lot." I asked him his opinion.

"I looks live I've made it for you. It just needs a few fitting here and there and you'll look breath taking. Let's see how Xabert like what I've chosen for him." He said as he was looking at the room Xabert was in.

"What have you chosen for him? Is it like a tux or. Suit." I asked him curiously. To me a man look the most handsome when he wear formals.

"It's a black satin Double breasted tux with peak labels with bone buttons. You'll like it for sure." He said as Xabert walked out of the changing room wearing the tuxedo. He looked more handsome than he already is and he is the most handsome man I've seen in my life. Unlike me his outfit fits him nicely showing his lean muscular physique.

"What do you think?" John asked both of us.

"This dress suits you alot. You look gorgeous." Xabert compliments making my feel a bit shy.

"You look dashing in this suit. I like how it fits you. You like it?" I asked.

"Yeah I think the same." Xabert replied.

"Mine needs a few alterations." I told Xabert.

"In how long can I get this dress altered?" I asked John.

"Usually it takes about a week, but since Xabert is my friend it have it done in two to three days." Xabert informed.

"Okay then, I'll pay for the dresses. And you are cordially invited to our engagement and this is the invitation card. You have to come." Xabert said giving him our engagement card. John gave Xabert a hug and then hogged me. We said our goodbyes to him, and then Xabert made the payment in the reception. With that we left the store. We had talked Xabert tux with us since there is no need for alterations.

It's still early. Xabert dropped me off to the restaurant and might have went home to drop off the outfit before heading to work.

I reached the restaurant. The staff was arranging the table and the sous chef was preparing for the opening. He was preparing for the dishes that is gonna be on today's menu. He knew what today's special gonna be, so he was preparing for it as well. The table clothes has been changed. On each table table there was a vase for flowers we change it every day. Different flower each day. We decorate flowers in rotation. Today is orchid. It has just been delivered from a nearby flower shop. They have given the schedule for the week, that which day which flower is to be send.

I told a waitress who works part time to do this job everyday. She replaces them everyday.

With that the restaurant gets opened for the orders and I got busied with preparing the orders.

Finally it's lunch time. While I was about to have my lunch I called Xabert to ask whether he wants to have lunch with me, or if he already had lunch. My lunch time is from 3 pm to 4 pm, which is pretty late to have lunch. But since there are lots of customers in the restaurant at lunch, we have lunch in shifts. My time is 3 to 4 pm. Mostly at time Xabert have had his lunch, but if he has some meeting and stuff we have lunch together.

We meet at a restaurant which is kind of in between our work places and we always order their specials so that we won't waste much time of each others and the order gets prepared quickly.

Xabert answered his phone. I asked him if he wants to have lunch with me but he told me that he already had his lunch after his meeting at 1 pm. So I just had my lunch in my restaurant.

I ate what I made. And get back to work. I had an interview today. It is for a news paper article. They want me to share some recipes for singles. Actually it was scheduled for next week but I told them to push the date forward since I won't be available next week.
