Chapter 80

Jake’s POV,

It was 5pm when the interview was scheduled. The interviewer was a reporter and a blogger for a daily newspaper. We've done several interviews before so we are quite familiar with each other.

Usually she asked me a few questions about the recipes I share and I had to cook the thing as well. I usually share simple dishes, dishes that anyone can prepare with much help and time investment.

"Hi Lisa", I said to the interviewer.

"Hi Christina, what recipe are you gonna share today with us. Today theme is single. So tell us something that a single person cook and eat on its own with no much hustle." Lisa said.

"Okay so today dish is called banana boat smores. For this we just need a banana, few marshmallows, chocolate chips and Graham crackers. Just for simple ingredients and love for your singlehood as well. So the method to prepare it is very simple. Just split the banana into two halves vertically and put it in a baking try, do not Peel it. The peel should be on the lower side. Now spread tt he melted chocolate chips on the banana, you can also use Nutella of you don't have chocolate chips. Now crumble some Graham crackers finely but don't grind them just put in into I zip lock bag and crush it. Not spread it over the banana as well. Now lastly put marshmallows over the banana chocolate and Graham crackers. Now pop it into the preheated oven at 350 degree Fahrenheit for about five to six minutes. Now pull it out of the oven. Your banana boat is ready. It's simple and quick. Best to enjoy it alone and with anyone you want to share it with."

I was cooking it and telling about every step to her she was recording my voice and was also asking me for questions every now and then. "Now let's taste it Lisa? Here take this spoon and dig in." I said giving Lisa a spoon.

I took a mouth of the gooey goodness and the expression she had was priceless. I can tell she like it just from her reaction.

"It's amazing. I would definitely try it again. Is there any additional tips you wanna share to make it as perfect as yours?" She questioned.

"Yes! The first tip is not to ever remove the banana peel before baking it. Because if you do so your banana will dry off from the outer side and it won't taste light and delicate it will become chewy.

Second is to take fresh bananas, it tastes better with that.

Third is you don't need to be single to enjoy this. You can cook and enjoy it regardless. It's super delicious. My family loves it specially my little brother." I said and soon the interview was done.

After some More cooking I head back home. Xabert was already there and was cooking in the kitchen. We both prefer to cook for ourselves rather then to have cooks at home. He use to have cooks for us at home when we didn't move in together but we both agreed to cook for ourselves. We usually have our lunch and dinner at our work place so having a cook who won't cook is not such a good idea.

"Babe you home?" Xabert asked.

"Yeah! How was you day?" I asked him while removing my shoes.

"It was okay. We are going to have some change in management soon. We are hiring new team for managing the hotel in the city." He said.

" It's a big change, and lot of work too. You tired? Let me cook", I said to him.

"It almost done. Freshen up and we'll have dinner. Go." He said and I came to my room to have a quick shower.

I showered and wore pajamas. We then have the dinner. We talked about our day and also I told him about my small interview today. He also loved the banana boat smores that I made today. But I haven't said that in the interview since we are still not public about our relationship.

He asked me to make it for him. So I made it. He waited patiently for me to make. I made two one for me and one for Xabert. I use Nutella instead of chocolate chips because it is more quick. I took about ten minutes to make it. I haven't ate it when I made it this evening since Lisa like it very much so I let her have it.

I shifted it into plates and served it to him.

"Be careful it's hot." I said serving it to him.

"Umm! It's delicious. I love it." He complimented.

"Thanks", I replied.

After dinner while Xabert was doing some work on his laptop and also talking to his secretary I started packing for my trip. I also packed a separate bad for Xabert. He will join me after three day as we planned. Then we'll explore the city for four days then back to work. After coming back we'll prepare for the engagement party.
