She Belongs To Me Now

Adriano "Why is there an extra plate setting?" I asked the servants. "Your wife will be joining us," my mother responded. "Why? She isn't allowed to leave her room," I said. "Catalina helped me when I was in their home. She kept me company and is a very lovely girl," my mother explained. "You weren't staying in their home, you were kidnapped," I reminded her. "She is the daughter of our biggest enemy. I don't trust her or like her." "But you have known her since she was a child," my mother rebutted. "That was then, this is now," I told her. "She is coming and that is final," she said. My father just stared and didn't say a thing. I knew he would never go against my mother's wishes especially after what happened. All that time he spent away from her was difficult for him. "FINE!" suddenly Catalina appeared. She was wearing a simple green sundress. She sat down slowly. She didn't make eye contact with anyone but my mother. "After this, you will go straight to your room," I said. She simply nodded. My brother huffed and spoke to her. "How are you, Catalina?" Vicente asked. Catalina looked at me before replying. "I don't know," she said softly. "Understandable, dear this is all so much to go through in a few days," my mother said to her. Catalina didn't answer. I could sense the fear in her. It did make me happy to know she understood this was no safe place for her. "We should walk the gardens in the evening, so we can talk like we use to," my mother said. Catalina looked at me as she clutched her napkin tightly. My mother glared at me. "If you want to, you can," I said annoyed at the matter. "Thank you," Catalina said. Later That Day "Nicolau wants to see his daughter," my father informed me. "I told him he would never see him again," I replied. "Why don't you let him see her?" Vicente asked. "Why? So Catalina can tell him information about us," I huffed. "She doesn't know anything," Vicente said. "And it will stay that way," I told him. "Ruthless tyrant, you are," my brother laughed. "Tyrant, Kings, Emperor, Boss, Call me what you like, you still follow my orders little brother," I order my men to continue watching Nicolau. I knew he was up to something. I had planned his execution already, along with everyone else from his family but I wanted to make sure he didn't plan something against us first. I was walking back to my office when I saw HER with my mother. They were walking in the garden. Catalina looked different. She didn't look scared. She looked as she did when we were younger, carefree and happy. My mother excused herself. I wanted to know what Catalina would do alone. She sat down on a bench and placed her hands on her lap. I guess she wasn't stupid after all. It's not like she could run away. It began to pour. She was drenched within seconds. I watched as her green sundress clung to her. She stood there for a second. Looked up and smiled. I watched as her dress slipped up and reveal more of her thigh. Her every curve was on display for me. "Catalina!", my mother called. She came out of her daze and ran inside. I was surprised at how annoyed I become at not having her in my sight anymore. I walked the opposite way from my office and managed to bum into her. "Oh sorry," she said. She had begun to tremble. "Your mother told me to come change since I got wet from the rain. I was just with her in the garden and it started to rain. I wasn't." "I don't care and stop wetting my floor," I said harshly. "Go before I make you mop it up." She turned from me and ran to her room. I headed to my bedroom and sat on the edge of the bed. She had to be changing this very moment, I thought. If I walked in there it wouldn't be intentional. I just want to make sure she didn't ruin my expensive carpet with her wet clothes. She had to have changed by now. I decided to head to her room. I knocked once but I was already turning the doorknob. My brother was standing in the middle of her room. "Why are you here?" I shouted. "Oh," he said. "Leave!" "But," "NOW!" Vicente soon left. Catalina suddenly walked out of the bathroom. She was wearing my brother's clothes. "Adriano!" she screeched surprised. "Why are you wearing Vicente's clothes?" I asked her roughly. "I didn't have anything warm to change into," she said. "I didn't really pack much. My father was going to bring me the rest of my stuff but." "Why do you talk so much?" I said. "Does this amuse you? Having my brother at your beck and call." "No!" she exclaimed. I walked towards her and cupped her face. I indented my thumbs in her cheek. "Your mother told him to lend me clothes, I swear." "You belong to me, not him. I know you had some delusional crush on my brother when we were younger but you married me," I harshly said. I watched the tears form in her eyes. "You're wrong," she cried. "I am never wrong," I said. "Do not defy me again." I pressed my thumbs further into her cheeks. "Now change." She nodded and walked back into the bathroom. I soon left. "Send some men to pick up the rest of my wife's things," I told one of my men. They nodded and walked away. "I thought she wouldn't be here that long," Vicente questioned. "Mind your business and if it wasn't already clear this is none of yours," I told him. "Catalina doesn't deserve you," he said. "No, but she is mine whether you or anyone else likes it or not, she belongs to me now!" I shouted. "Whatever you say, brother,"
