Chapter 2

Alex POV

I stared into his eyes and then Melody, my lycan, almost took control of me. I felt my eyes turning black and we were both present at the same time. Million thoughts were in my mind but one question kept popping up. How is this possible? The man before me was beautiful, hot, a freaking greek god actually and then I smelled him again. Brewed coffee but it was not only just that, I smelled caramel and sea water. I averted my gaze because I felt my self blushing, only to be met with two more identical clones of the greek god. I bit my lip a little from the shock and I heard a growl coming from them.

WHAT THE ACTUAL f**k. I-I AM A FREAKING OMEGA I CAN'T HAVE THAT MANY MATES... WHAT THE FREAKITY FRUCK. HOW? WHAT? OH MOON GODDESS.

Umm excuse me" I said and then ran away like there is no tomorrow. Lycans don't mate with werewolves. At the stairs, I bumped with Chloe. "I am leaving... you can have the tips, I don't care!" that moment I smelled caramel again. Instantly, I rose my gaze up the stairs to see one of them looking at me like I was his last meal. f**k. I started running again to reach the exit of the club.

Melody was not happy with me. "Why are you running? Get back in there immediately!"

I need a minute...okay? You know I was not expecting to find a mate. I thought he was dead or a rogue. I thought I wiil be alone forever, I planned to be alone forever. Just give a minute and change because they are coming".

Melody didn't like this one bit, but she was a lycan so she respected my decision even though I felt her hope that my decision was only temporary. Almost instantly, I was in all fours and running for home. When I got home, I decided to not change because I would then be naked, and I dont have the keys, so I got to the back of the house, where I keep a secret window open for situations like this one. With one jump, I landed on my bed, and then turned back to my human form so I can go for a shower.

When the hot water touched my skin, I let myself wonder. They were triplets. Triplets were rear to find, but what they were doing at the club, and at the VIP section too. I froze when I reminded myself, this was an event for the triplet alphas of Blue Moon. No it can't be. This is a joke. There is a logical explanation that doesn't involve me mating with... Not even going to entertain that thought. Melody, momentaraly, cried in my head and then block the link. It is not true. She is crying because I havent grasp the concept having mates yet, not anything else. I am not even going to think about it anymore. I will just wash up and go to bed.

Stefan's POV.

i saw her running away and I couldn't bare it. I went after her and saw her stop at the stairs, talking with that Chloe girl and then she run off. Toni went after her, out of the club and I stopped to ask the girl what was going on but she got ahead of me.

"What did you guys do to her? she was clearly pissed off.

"We are her mates" I said aggresively trying to control my wolf, Bones.

"All three of us" Jame added.

Her eyes widened from the information, then Toni came back and my attention turned to him. Where was she? Bones took control and my eyes were black.

Agressivily I asked "Why are you here and not with mate?"

"She was too fast. I didn't even saw the direction she went" he said out of breath.

"If she turned into her wolf, she is scared. Maybe, let her be and you could go to her appartment tomorrow." she said finish the sentence with a high pitch voice. I shrugged. Why my mate was scared of us? It hurt too much to know that we got her scared. We are her mates, we suppose to make her feel happy.

"Why was she scares? We didn't say or do anything to scare her" James outted the same thoughts with me.

"Ahh I don't know if I should tell you, it's an insecurity thing and also, some stuff we have been through growing. She had a lot more to deal with than I did to be honest, and clearly she is still dealing with it. " She inhaled and continued "Look, I am a waitress here and clearly Alex needs a minute. This is an event for the Alphas and because she left I will have to do her tables too, to cover for her. Can we talk after, I will explain as much as I can and give you the keys to her house."

My brothers growled "We are the Alphas of the Blue Moon Pack! You are off your duties for the rest of the night and if we find it necessary you will be coming with us" Toni almost shouted. It seemed like James was the only one, who could somehow control his wolf, so he took the liberty to add "we will talk with your boss and pay you double for the night".

Apon hearing that we are the Alphas, she turned her neck as a sign of submission but had a fearfull look

"I am sorry Alphas. Let's go somewhere more private to talk."

James POV

We sat on the couch the owner had in his office and Chloe sat in the other in front of us. She was nervous all of a sudden and I realised there is something else. She was not only afraid to tell us about our mate, she was afraid because we were her best friends mate. We were the Alphas of the Blue Moon pack, for us it was an honor, but for some wolves my parents actions and then ours were changing negatively a lot of peoples lives. We were fearsome for a lot of packs. I don't know what pack she was from, but I had to make her realise the other side of us. Toni and Stefan were trying to keep their wolves under control and Derek was talking to the owner out, to give us more privasy.

"Chloe, I know our reputation precedes us, but let me get some things straight. We are 29 years old and we have always known that only one woman will be our forever. We grew up dreaming of her. I am not going to say we have waited for Alex like she did, we had girlfriends and one night stands, I will remain truthfull to you but they were only to try and fill the void. 29 and unmated is a harsh age, don't you think?"

The girl before us, changed her compure after the end of my sentence from fearing our shadows to annoyed. She inhaled and looked at me "If this is your way ensuring me, she is safe with you three, try something else, because I will talk after I know for a fact you will not hurt her."

"Hurt her? We were made to worship her, to make her happy, to be safe with us. What are you on about?" Toni snapped.

"Let me rephrase this. I want to know how do you feel about the slaughter that happened almost twentry years ago, with the Red Moon Pack and the Lycans?" she asked taking us all by surprise.

"We were almost 10 at the time. Our parents did a hideous thing by taking advantage of the information the traitor gave us but this was war" I answered.

"I was not asking about you or your parents! I asked about the slaughter, you said it was a hideous thing. Do you regret it? Would you do it if you were in charge back then?"

I mindlink my brothers "She and mate must be survivors from the Red Moon Pack" and they agreed with me over mindlink.

"If we were in charge, no! Red Moon was a pack with glorious history and most of the members were peacefull people as much I remember. Lycans were also, a respectful race, the kind that was not earned by fear, pure respect, even Alphas werewolves were to bow infront of an Omega Lycan. I remember the only time I saw one, it was at the danganes of the pack house. I believe she was ranked, even after all the blood on her, I saw a marvellous creature. She was tired and wanted her daughter, then a warrior saw me and escorted me upstairs. I wish I could see how the lycans were before the war " Stefan admitted.

Chloe watching carefully examing Stefan's face to see if he was telling the truth. She sighted. "Is this how you all feel?"

"Yes" Toni and I said at the same time.

"Well.. Now is your chance to see a happy lycan". Chloe said taking us all by surprise.
