"So you're just gonna leave like that?"
"I really don't have a choice Joe"
"Come on man, we need you at Divine Trinity. Who's gonna lead the choir?"
"There's so many people in the choir that can lead man. Ain't no way you gonna be able to change my mind now...Sad truth."
Joe sighed, knowing that I stuck to my word.
"Miss Shay's gonna be crushed when she hears this," he said staring into space while shaking his head. I felt a lump on my throat at the mention of Miss Shay.
"I know...I know"
Miss Shay is the choir coordinator at Divine Trinity. If it weren't for her, maybe all the bitter sweet that incidents that took place wouldn't have even taken place. But everything happens for a reason.
I met her when I was 11. I used to hang around the basketball court a with my friend Corey because he loved basketball so much. He'd beg me to tag along with him so he could watch the big kids play. I had no choice because he was my only friend. His passion for basketball was so strong that he managed to get along with the big kids there.
