All This While

Promise me

Few weeks had passed and I was very happy to see Luke and Becca getting along. We did everything together. We usually had sleepovers at Becca's house and sometimes at our house. We were having the best time until something happened. Mommy woke me up one morning at 10 am. I was up all night talking to Becca the night before and went to sleep at 2 in the morning. So there I was surprised that the bright light from outside was forcing its way through my window curtain.

I looked at my mother and saw that she had a bright smile on her face. I was about to ask her why but she gave me a letter as if reading my mind.

According to her, she got this letter in an envelope out of the mailbox early this morning. I started to read it and immediately knew what it was. It was my acceptance letter to Life'sArt Academy!!! Only one of the best art schools for kids in the world. Well, I would say "the best" because children from all over the world transferred from schools like Falarence and HST Academy to go there.

"Ahhhhhhhh!!!!" I screamed with excitement. I can't believe I got accepted. I quickly showed it to luke as soon as he walked in probably wondering why I was screaming. He read the letter and immediately frowned. huh? I thought he would be happy for me."What is it?" I asked. He then replied, "I'm happy for you and everything but.......look at how long you will be staying there." I looked back at the letter and saw it in bold letters. How could I miss out on that while I was reading? I honestly didn't see it. I gasped as it said 'seven years'.

At that point, I started to break down in tears. I didn't even know if it was because I was happy about going to my dream school or because I would leave my family and friends behind. My mom also knew that I would be away from her for five years. She said that she would miss me and that it would be hard for her not to have me around, but she would like for me to go because that's where I've always wanted to go. My dad Sasha also knew so there were just a few more persons I had to inform. Including Rebbeca.

I bet you guys are wondering why haven't I attended school yet. Well, it's summer now and a month from now I will be off to Life'sArt.Yes, I had decided to go because if there was anything my father taught me it was to go after my dream and that was exactly what I was going to do. Plus this was a once-in-a-lifetime oportunity.No it's not being selfish because I will always have my stuffed animals, my family, and my friends but this opportunity like I said was a once in a lifetime. I told Lucy, Christopher, and Rebbeca. Lucy and Chris were kind of sad but happy at the same time because they knew I wanted to go for the longest while. Rebecca on the other hand................well she cried. But in the end, she hugged me and said"If that's what you want Venesa, then I'm happy for you. Tell your new friends at Life'sArt that they can never take my place cause we are sisters." I laughed when she said that. Of course, no one could take her place, no one can't take luke's place either. The rest of the summer we did everything together. We took a lot of pictures too. We went to the zoo, amusement park, movies, and other places.

Summer went by and you know what time it was. Sadly it was the time for me to go to Life'sArt.As I was packing my suitcase I heard a knock on the door. I told whoever it was that they can come in and saw Luke, Chris, Lucy, and Rebecca. (Guys please remember that venesa isn't talking to Meg and Veronica because they laughed at her birthday party instead of helping her) Lucy tried to prevent herself from crying along with Rebecca. Chris and Luke on the other hand had small smiles on their faces. I knew they didn't want to cry in front of us girls. We put on the matching necklaces that we got a week ago. Luke was the orange jelly-covered toast, Chris was the purple jelly-covered toast, Lucy was the chocolate-covered toast, Rebecca was the vanilla-covered toast and I was the peanut buttered toast. The friendship necklaces were so adorable.



We all talked and talked then suddenly I heard a car honk stating that it was time for me to go. Before I went into the car I hugged my friends one more time. Yes guys even tho luke and Becca are my siblings, they are still my best friends."Promise me that you guys won't separate. Promise me that when I get back things will be the same." after I said that they all said, "I promise".I went over to my mom and saw that she had been crying. My heart melted and I started to cry. My mom and I always had this strong connection. I kept wondering what would happen if when I'm gone. I didn't think too much of it tho because I know Carl and Luke will take good care of her. She gave me a little sparkly pink phone that would allow me to call them anytime. I hugged her and waved everyone the last goodbye. And with that, I drove off. I looked at the car window and saw them still waving before they could no longer be seen. My dad was the one driving me to the airport because the school was in London. My dad was the last person left for me to say goodbye to because I already told Sasha. My dad put on my favorite song "Boomerang" by Jojo Siwa! We sang along the ride. I'm gonna miss everyone.
