For twenty years, Elena Hart believed she was nothing more than an ordinary human. She had no idea that she was born in Silvermoon Kingdom, descended from an ancient wolf bloodline, or that a powerful Alpha was destined to be her mate. When billionaire Alpha King Karl Ashford crosses paths with Elena, his wolf recognizes her instantly as his fated mate. But Karl refuses to accept what fate has chosen. As the ruler of one of the most powerful wolf kingdoms, he is already engaged to Victoria Ravenwood, a beautiful Alpha princess he has known since childhood. Compared to a strong wolf from an elite bloodline, Elena appears to be nothing more than a fragile human girl. Determined to ignore the mate bond, Karl pushes Elena away. What he doesn’t know is that Elena’s wolf was never absent. It was sealed. As ancient secrets surface and rival kingdoms begin hunting her, Elena discovers she is the last heir of a forgotten royal bloodline capable of changing the fate of the werewolf world. Now Karl must choose between the alliance that secures his kingdom and the woman fate created for him. But when the truth about Elena’s power is revealed, the Alpha who once doubted her may be forced to fight an entire world to keep her. He thought she was too weak to be his Luna. He was about to learn she was born to be a Queen.

The Blood Trail
In Black Ridge Forest, the wind howled fiercely, cutting through the old trees like a chorus of vengeful spirits, unleashing the most severe snowstorm. Snow covered the forest floor like a blanket, a clean white cloth ripped by a sharp, repeating trail of deep crimson Alexander Thorn was determined to survive. Every breath he took was a testament to his resilience, like inhaling shards of broken glass. His commanding chest rose and fell beneath a torn leather tunic, and his boots scraped fiercely against hidden roots under the snow. A lesser warrior would have fallen long ago, but Alexander was an old-blood Alpha, a legendary fighter whose name once struck terror into rival kingdoms. As he pressed his trembling hand against his side, he felt the sickeningly warm, dark blood seeping through his fingers. The wound was unlike any other. Claw marks ripped across his ribs, infused with the smoky residue of an ancient blade—the weapon of a coward wielded by assassins. They betrayed him, slaughtered his guard, torched his ancestral home, and hunted him across three territories. But they had not claimed victory. Alexander clenched his left arm tightly, pulling a heavy bundle closer to his chest. Wrapped within a thick, emerald-green velvet cloak was a tiny, fragile life. The fabric was stained with his blood, yet the gold embroidery along the trim shimmered in the pale winter moon. A low, determined howl echoed from the dark ridges behind him. It was a hunting call, high-pitched and coordinated. At least five of them were closing in. They had picked up his scent, following the heavy aroma of copper blood and dying Alpha energy through the freezing night. “Just a little further,” Alexander rasped with unwavering resolve, his voice a guttural whisper on the wind. “Just a few more miles, my little starlight.” He stumbled, his knee striking a hidden stone beneath the snow. He fell heavily but instinctively shielded the velvet bundle, ensuring his massive frame absorbed the brutal impact. A choked groan escaped his lips as the wound in his side flared with searing pain. For a moment, the world dulled to gray, with his vision tunneling into darkness. The inner wolf within him, a legendary beast that had survived a hundred battles, whined weakly, its lifeforce flickering like a candle in a storm. Alexander was hurt and very tired, but he refused to give up. He crawled towards a big old oak tree, its thick roots offering a small shield from the harsh snow. Dragging his back against the rough bark, he finally loosened his arms, gently pulling back the blood-soaked velvet to look down at the child. He expected tears. He expected the fragile, piercing cry of a newborn infant terrified by the cold and the deafening roars of predators in the dark. Instead, there was only utter, haunting silence. The baby girl lay perfectly still in his lap. As the velvet fell away, her face was uncovered to the moonlight. She was flawless, her pale skin untouched by the cold, as if winter itself was afraid to harm her. Another howl ripped through the air, much closer this time. The tremors in the snow told Alexander everything he needed to know. They were less than ten minutes away. If the assassins caught them, they would smell her. Even with the raw scent of his blood dominating the forest, the intoxicating, gravity-defying aroma of the Moon Queen's heir would lead them straight to her throat. They would drain her blood to ensure the old throne could never be reclaimed. Alexander looked down at his daughter, tears finally blurring his vision, freezing into ice on his scarred cheeks. “Forgive me, my love. Forgive your father.” Alexander closed his eyes, drawing a deep, shuddering breath. He reached deep within his fractured Alpha core, bypassing the physical pain and failing organs, tapping into the forbidden, ancient magic of the High Alphas. It was a ritual of pure sacrifice, a spell that required the caster to burn their own lifeforce to forge an unbreakable deception. He placed his bloody, calloused palm directly over the baby’s tiny chest. “By the blood of the first pack, by the light of the unbroken moon,” Alexander chanted, his voice dropping into a deep, resonant tone that caused the snow around his boots to melt into perfect circles. “I bind what is sacred. I lock what is sovereign.” A brilliant, blinding silver light erupted from beneath his palm. The baby girl did not flinch, but her eyes burned with sudden, intense brightness. The light began to spread across her skin, tracing intricate, glowing geometric lines over her veins like a map of the stars. Alexander roared in agony as the spell began to drain his remaining energy violently. He could feel his inner wolf tearing itself apart, converting its immortal essence into a cage of raw magic. “Seal her!” he commanded the shadows. “Hide her from the wolves! Hide her from the throne!” The geometric lines on her skin began to sink beneath her flesh, pulling the silver glow downward. Alexander observed through overwhelming pain as the solid pools of liquid starlight in her eyes fractured. The silver withdrew, replaced by a deep, rich, and completely ordinary human brown. The change was swift and terrifyingly complete. The majestic frequency filling the air disappeared. Her scent shifted drastically. In seconds, she smelled of nothing but milk, warmth, and the dull fragility of a typical human infant. The seal was broken. To any werewolf, she would appear as a fragile, powerless human stray. The effort exhausted Alexander completely. The silver light faded, plunging everything into the tree's shadows. He collapsed forward, breathing shallowly. His trembling hands re-wrapped her in the green velvet cloak, hiding the embroidered crest deep within the folds. He had stripped her of her birthright to save her; now, he must give her a future. With his last strength, Alexander moved. He did not stand but crawled through the snow on his elbows, dragging the velvet-wrapped bundle. He emerged from the dense Black Ridge Forest boundary separating supernatural from human territory. In front of him, the woods opened to a manicured winter landscape. At the end stood the iron gates of the Hart Estate. The Harts, a renowned, wealthy family, controlled global shipping, real estate, and finance. They were powerful and known for their strict reputation. But Alexander knew they cared deeply, having spent years trying to have an heir. He dragged his bleeding body over the pristine concrete, leaving a red streak on the snow. Reaching the gates, he carefully placed the velvet bundle between the stone pillars, pulling the fabric around her face to shield her from the cold, only her small eyes visible. Next to the gate was a heavy brass emergency lever, connected directly to the mansion's main security team. Alexander reached up, bloodied fingers clutching the cold brass. With a final, desperate tug, he slammed the lever down. An immediate, silent alarm flashed red inside the security kiosk at the far end of the property. On the driveway, the Hart mansion's front doors burst open as an SUV's headlights pierced the midnight darkness, rushing toward the gate. Alexander looked at his daughter one last time. “Live, Elena,” he whispered, his voice breaking with finality. “Live a normal life. Be safe. Be human.” He didn't wait for the vehicle. Seeing a blood-soaked man at their gates would alarm the humans, likely calling the police and risking chaos that could endanger the child. Using his hands, he pushed off the stone pillars. He rolled into the shadows of Black Ridge Forest, disappearing into the underbrush just as the estate vehicle stopped on the other side of the iron gate. From the leaves, Alexander watched as Richard Hart, a tall, distinguished man in a cashmere coat, stepped out into the cold, flanked by two armed guards. “What triggered the alarm?” Richard demanded, his voice commanding as he scanned the empty road. “Is someone out there?” One guard approached the gate, shining his flashlight. The beam revealed a bright emerald-green velvet bundle on the ground. “Sir,” the guard gasped, dropping his weapon. “Look down. There's… there's a baby here.” Richard froze, eyes wide with disbelief. He hurried forward, reaching through the bars to carefully lift the heavy bundle into his arms. As he pulled back the velvet, the security lights flashed on, illuminating the baby’s face.
