The loss of Morticia had Beck walking around in a fog for several days. And Janey was always at his side, putting him first, not thinking of herself at all. If he wanted to be left alone, she let him be, even if that meant she’d be alone for a day or so. She just dealt with it and learned to enjoy her own company, playing with Pumpkin, reading or going for long walks in the park during twilight, her favorite time of day.
One night she tried to entice him out of his funk by treating him to a romantic little Italian restaurant.
