A Werewolf's Love

I wake up in my hotel room with a hangover from going out and drinking the night before. Yesterday was my twenty-first birthday and I went to Tennessee with my best friend. My junior year of college had just ended, so when I suggested going to Tennessee for my birthday my friend agreed. Tennessee has been great so far. I had always loved the state, and the fact that they had legal free samples of moonshine made it the perfect place to celebrate my twenty-first birthday. My best friend Anya jumps on the bed making me groan from my pounding headache. "Michaela!" she shouts, making me cringe. "What," I responded, quite annoyed. "You have to get up," she whines. "Why? What time is it?" "9:30, you better hurry, the breakfast buffet closes at 10:00." "Fine." I roll out of bed; she knows I won't pass up a chance for free food. I slowly make my way to the bathroom and brush my teeth, putting some clothes on in the process. I didn't spend much time worrying about how presentable I looked; I mean it's not like I'm going to see these people again. It doesn't take too long before I'm ready and leave the room heading for the elevator. When we get to the breakfast area, all of our other friends are waiting for us, oh wait I have one friend. It's not that I don't talk to other people, it's just I don't like to get close and open up with most people. As we enjoy the free hotel breakfast, we discuss our plans for the day. Our conversation is interrupted when we hear the door open and loud talking soon follows. I turn to see who entered the hotel, and see a gaggle of men dressed in suits. They're probably at the hotel for business purposes not to vacation. I turn back to Anya ready to go back to our room, but I catch someone staring at me. I make eye contact for a second but quickly look away, making eye contact with strangers always feels so awkward. "Oh my God, Chaela, that man over there won't stop looking at you," Anya whisper shouts in my ear. "Woah, really genius, I couldn't tell." "Chaela, look how hot he is." I glance over quickly trying to see what he looks like while also trying not to seem like I'm staring. He has dark brown eyes and tanned skin and hair to go along with them. He has kind of an Italian look to him. Okay, now I see what she's talking about, but I've known enough men to figure out that looks aren't everything. He's probably just a big d**k and a**hole like the rest of them. He sees me checking him out and smirks at me. Disgusted, I start dragging Anya back to our room.
