Day Eight Calm Before The Storm

Colin looked back at me in disgust. He swung for me with a fist but Tyrone grabbed hold of him and Tyler jumped between us, Colin only managed to clip my face itch his fist. George and Tyler moved me away taking me across the garden. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that, he didn't deserve it" I sighed panting my head into my hands. "Let's leave it for tonight, cool off and chat about it tomorrow" George consoled. 

The following morning myself and Hayden woke up to a treat. We received a text to walk down to the beach hut to have a public chat. I wasn't too sure what that was but it sounded fun. At the end of the beach was a small private hut, inside was a sandy floor with a wicker sofa in the middle with a tv screen on the wall. On the sofa was a card which together we read. The public have asked questions aimed at either myself, Hayden or us as a couple and it was up to us to answer them. Hopefully it was going to be enjoyable, perhaps it would give us an idea of what people on the otherwise were thinking. 

We sat down on the sofa together, Hayden put his arm around me as we waited for our questions.

What do you both think of Corey and Andres?

"Aww, Corey is lovely and attractive" I replied as Hayden added that Corey was a lad. "Andres is just so nice and when he speaks in Spanish, my god you just melt!" I giggled. "Minus the melting part, I also agree" Hayden chuckled.

Jake, which of the bottoms do you think causes the most drama?"

"Well, Tyler to be fair. Usually he is involved from the beginning anyway but I guess it would be fair to say sometimes he makes things worst or drags them out a little longer than required" I laugh. "Jake's right, he can be a little... sharp shall we say".

You have both been here a week now, how do you feel about your relationship?

"We have good potential I think. It has only been a few days though so it's still early but who knows what the future holds for us" I said politely. "Well don't stroke my ego too hard. I was going to say something nice, but I guess being realistic is good" Hayden told me. I gave a puzzled look and paused for a moment, it seemed Hayden wanted more from me.

Is there someone else that either of you would rather be with in the villa?

My eyes widen at that question, I didn't know what to say. Hayden didn't say anything either as the room was silent, Hayden was waiting for me to answer first. I glanced over at Hayden and replied " so no comment on that one... next". "Well that just means yes doesn't it," Hayden said turning to me. "No, it just means I don't feel the question is necessary to answer. Also you didn't answer either" I replied in a slightly higher-pitched voice. "Which people only say when they are hiding something". 

The tv screen told us we could both leave the beach hut which needless to say was awkward. I didn't bother waiting for Hayden, I rushed off to get away from him to join the other boys in the dressing room. "And where have you been?" Tyrone asked as he was putting on his swimwear. "I was in the beach hut with Hayden". "Don't worry Jake, Hayden will survive the elimination" Tyrone told me. "I hope so, I will miss Andres, he is good looking" Colin commented. "Oh have you got over Alfie already?" Tyler asked. "That's not what I said!". "I guess we shouldn't be shocked, took you about five minutes to get over Matt" Tyler smirked. "Ugh, I'm not doing this" he sighed and walked out the room. "Colin, I want to apologise for yesterday. It was uncalled for, I overreacted and I was angry at whoever voted for Hayden. I took it out on you and it might not have been" I called from the doorway. Colin turned around to look at me, "I shouldn't have dropped the bombshell regarding you and Matt. Especially in front of Hayden," he replied putting out his arms for a hug, to which I accepted. 

Everyone separated after getting dressed, I saw Hayden sitting relaxing by the pool with Matt, so me and Tyler joined them for a chat. As we sat down Hugo came rushing over, "well clearly those two are going public now" he pointed out. We all turned around to see Colin and Alfie giggling on the day beds. "You'd think he wasn't up for the public vote looking like that" Matt sighed. "Don't remind me, please" Hayden replied seeming down. "I'm sorry hun, you're going to be the one to survive tonight" Hugo reassured. "To be honest, I thought you would all just vote for Alfie," Hayden told us. "That was discussed and I thought was the plan. I think it was Colin that voted for you. I voted Alfie, Tyler voted Alfie, I know that Hugo voted for Andres, which we need to discuss by the way. That only leaves Tyrone and Colin and between the two, Tyrone wouldn't have chosen you not after the chat we had. That leaves Colin and think about it, I think he wanted to punish either me for voting Alfie. Tyler had no one to punish on his behalf, he's sort of single". "You think Colin would do that?" Matt asked. "Colin would so do that!" Tyler agreed. "I don't know if Colin would but what Jake said does make sense," Hugo said seeming disappointed. "What a scumbag" Tyler sighed. "Well, Alfie will be going home tonight. That's punishment enough for them" I said defending Tyler and Matt. "Can we discuss why you voted Andres, Hugo?" Tyler asked. "It was an accident I misread the question" Hugo sighed. I wasn't sure what was not clear about the question but Hugo wasn't the sharpest tool in the box. 

After a relatively calm morning, it was the afternoon and we were all asked to meet at the challenge area on the docks. Judging by the way our challenges usually go, this could cause some tension.

We all walked towards a U shaped table which was in front of a black chalkboard. Each other our names were written on the board with our partners meaning this was a couples challenge. Tyler got a text and read it out.

Islanders, it's time to find out what the public has been saying about you and your fellow islanders. Tyler and Alfie will read out real tweets posted online with an islanders name blanked out and it will be up to the rest of you to decide who the islander is. The couple with the most correct answers wins.

"But I'm single?" Corey asked as Andres looked over seeming puzzled. "Looks like you two are a temporary couple" Hugo winked. "I could be with worst people" Corey replied as the two hugged each other. "This will be interesting, we can see what people actually think about us" Tyrone called. "They've probably seen things not all of us have seen," I told the group. "One hundred per cent things have gone on here that are unknown but the public has probably seen," Matt said. "Then again vice verse we know things they don't. The show is filmed twenty-four hours a day, not everything can go on tv, only the most juicy, dramatic or interesting parts" Tyrone explained. "Perhaps now may be a good time for people to air out their dirty laundry before the game. Anyone have anything they wish to confess?" George asked the group while smiling. Everyone stayed quiet as they sat down in their seats next to there partners. 

Hayden seemed happy to see me, even after our awkward encounter this morning. He took my hand in his and looked up to the front at Tyler and Alfie. Tyler held up the first card and read it to us.

That guy ___ is like the one jar of pickles you have in your Nan's cupboard that just won't open up.

Everyone started to confer with their partners and begin writing down the answers on their board. "Who are you thinking?" Hayden asked. "Sam was my first thought". "I thought that too, he does speak to the tops more than the bottoms minus Tyrone but I guess he is quite quiet overall" Hayden explained as we wrote down Samuel. 

We held up our board and people were torn between Hayden and Samuel. "Why Hayden?" I asked. "Cause he's tough, is that not what the question means?" Hugo asked. "I thought it was someone who was quiet?" I asked. Tyler peels off the sticker and it was in fact about Hayden. "I guess it was about someone being tough then," I said as Hayden shrugged off the tweet. 

Alfie takes the next tweet and reads it out.

You can do so much better than him, ___

"Oh, that could be about Tyler, cause of the Alfie thing?" I asked. "That's good actually, go with that" Hayden agreed as we held up our board. The group was split again between Colin and Tyler. Alfie peels off the sticker and it was about Colin. "Well clearly that relates to Alfie and not me" Matt snapped rolling his eyes. "Erm no, you're coupled up to Colin!" Alfie told him. "No! Everyone knows me and Colin aren't together since you got with him. Therefore it's about you! Not to mention you were just laying on the beds with him in plain sight" Matt told him firmly. "It's defiantly about Alfie, we thought it was to do with Tyler but Colin does make sense" I pointed out. Alfie rolled his eyes allowing Tyler to move on.

___ is treating ___ like crap, yes he was a tool but acting like a diva makes you just as bad hun! #DivaBitch

"Well I guess we know that's about Tyler and Alfie," Hayden said. I nodded letting him write in the board. We held up our board and everyone agreed the same answer. Tyler looks unhappy with us all more so with me, "just because I said what we all thought!" He snapped. Tyler peels off the sticker and everyone was correct it was about Tyler with the way he treated Alfie. Alfie takes the next question.

"Bit awkward for whoever is partnered up to that person," Hayden said. "Reckon it's about Sam?" I asked. "Could be" he replied as he wrote down Sam and held up the board. The group is torn between, Sam and Hayden. "Hey!" I yelled as Tyrone also looked unimpressed. "As if you wrote Sam, Jake!" Tyrone yelled. "You wrote Hayden!" I snapped. Alfie peels off the sticker and it was about Sam. "Ha! See I'm not playing Hayden," I said smugly as Tyrone looked unhappy and paused for a moment. "Well one persons jealous opinion won't ruin us!" Tyrone called as Sam remained silent. Tyler takes the next card.

I swear ___ comments on everything going on in the villa! Why is he always involved in all the drama? Even if when he's not involved he is! #DramaQueen

"Oh god that's definitely about me" I laugh as I write my own name down. "Least your self aware" Hayden chuckles. Everyone is torn between Colin and Tyler, I was the only one who wrote my own name. Tyler peels off the sticker and it was about me. "Wheyyyy! Point to us!" I cheered. Everyone laughed, "I don't think the tweet was a compliment Jake" Hugo chuckled. "Oh well, that person helped me score a point so cheers mate!" I said putting a thumbs up. Alfie took the next card.

___ is just here for fun. Remember when he wore a Speedo and thrust in the islanders faces?

Everyone very quickly holds up there boards without chatting and everyone agreed it was Alfie. He laughed and revealed it was about him. "Last two remaining questions" Tyler called as he read out the next card.

Calling it now, ___ is the secret player on the island. That's without seeing more new islanders yet to come.

"Well I wonder who this one is about" Matt cheers looking happy. "To be fair, I would have said Matt but I thought that was a given. The tweet said secret not public" I whispered as Hayden seemed uncertain. We had a think but wrote couldn't think who it might have been, so we went with Matt and we held up our board. Everyone agreed with Matt being the answer minus Hugo and George who wrote Alfie. Tyler peels off the sticker and it was about George. Everyone gasps and George laughs, "brilliant I love that," he said clapping. Alfie turned to take the next card but Tyler took it quickly and held it behind his back. "Ok, so that's it then". Everyone looks puzzled for a moment, "you said there was two left, where's the other?" Colin asked. "Yeah, he did" I agreed. "Well I read it and it's totally boring so let's just skip it". "That's not fair!" Tyrone called. "Don't spoil the fun" George told him. "Hey guys, Tyler said the games over so it's over he's the host," Matt said defending him. 

I thought Matt defending Tyler was very strange. People had mentioned something might be going on between them. I instantly knew that tweet must confirm something regarding the subject. "We are reading the card whether you two like it or not!" I said standing up as Alfie pulled the card front Tyler's hands. "Ugh, it's totally boring!" Tyler sighed storming off, leaving the game. "Erm that's really strange," Hugo said watching Tyler walk away. Alfie reads the tweet out putting us out of our misery.

That moment when ___ couples up and then sticks his lips on someone else on the first chance he gets. #Backstabber

"No way!" Tyrone gasped. I felt shocked all of a sudden, that could have been about me and Matt when I coupled up with Hayden. Matt kissed me in the kitchen and I didn't stop him. On the other hand, why did Tyler not want anyone to read the message? This then made me wonder if Tyler and Matt kissed too. 

Hayden turned to me and said, "well after that reaction it must be about Tyler and Matt". I agreed feeling annoyed and betrayed. We held up our board as everyone else agreed, Colin didn't look happy. Alfie revealed it was about Matt. 

I was confused with the results, it was correct but which answer was it? Was it about Matt kissing me or did Matt kiss Tyler too? It didn't make sense for Tyler to storm off and hide the tweet. He wasn't trying to defend me from embarrassment because he doesn't know our kiss happened. Therefore Tyler and Matt must have shared a kiss at some point. Matt must have kissed Tyler around the same time he kissed me which is very disrespectful after he made a huge public speech about how Hayden was wrong for stealing me away from him. 

After revealing the result, everyone turned to Matt shocked, Colin frowned at him and Matt rolled his eyes. "Oh right yeah blame it all on me. I'm not the one who got off with Alfie" he snapped. "Look guys, we are losing two members of the group tonight, I don't want their last day to be stressful and packed with fights and drama. Can we put this one on a backseat just for tonight, let the two people going home tonight have a good night. That means no going back and bringing this up with Tyler?" Sam told us all. Everyone either frowned or shrugged but we all reluctantly agreed.

Alfie turned to the scoreboard and announced that me and Hayden were the winners. Right on cue, my phone vibrated.

Congratulations Jake and Hayden. A jacuzzi has been set up on the beach for you with a bottle of champagne on ice. Have fun!

Me and Hayden were excited letting the other islanders return to the villa. I hopped into the hot tub with Hayden and the two of us had a cuddle after Hayden poured us both a glass of champagne. 

We laid in silence for a while until Hayden spoke a few minutes later, "well we have a better understanding of what people think of us". "True, it's weird though. We see things they don't but they also see things that we don't" I said while thinking. "Do you think the tweets were accurate?". "Yes to be honest". 

We cuddled in the hot tub and didn't say too much to one another. It wasn't awkward, which was pleasant, it was just relaxing, I think we both had the elimination tonight on our minds. I know it was on mine, I didn't want to lose Hayden. I was confident Hayden would win it, which only made me sad for Andres because he could have gone far in the competition. 

As the sun started to set me and Hayden came back to the villa to get ready for the evening. After a quick shower, I was rubbing lotion on my skin in my underwear as usual. We were all getting ready minding our own business until Hugo decided to speak, "I'm sure no one wants to talk about it but who do we think is leaving tonight?". "Alfie and sadly Andres," I told him. "Well obviously one will be Alfie but is anyone worried for Hayden?". "Nah, Hayden will survive no doubt" Tyler replied looking at a few t-shirts in the mirror. 

Colin suddenly sits down and looks upset, I felt bad for him but I also felt like he was the reason Hayden was up for elimination. I wasn't going to overdo things and hug him. I apologised for hitting him that was enough. However, I thought I'd say some nice words to be a decent human. "It will be ok Colin. Everyone's here for you and I'm sure plenty more tops are waiting to walk through the doors". Tyrone smiled at me bending down giving Colin a hug. He seemed pleased and cheered up a little. "I'm sorry guys, I understand why everyone's angry at him. He didn't handle the newbies very well and maybe when we started chatting it was just a plot on his side but it isn't any more I know it" Colin explained softly. "Ugh I'm so over this! You knew what you were doing when you backstabbed me for Alfie. You did the same thing when you went after Matt when you knew Ethan liked him! Also you were into Matt for what, five minutes?" Tyler snapped. "That's not what happened between me and Matt! Something just wasn't right between us. Clearly I was right about that, you would know!" Colin replied with a raised voice. Tyler seemed stunned for a moment, "Let's be serious Tyler you running off today basically told us that you got with Matt while I was coupled up to him. Bit hypercritical of you to have a go at me for it. What about Jake too? Did you wait until things passed over with him or did you stab Jake in the back too?" Colin yelled. 

I turned and looked over at Tyler crossing my arms looking as if I wanted answers. "I'm not letting you get away with what you did to me!". "Enough!" Tyrone shouted before I could speak. "I've got a text, it's time! Now shut up arguing and get downstairs! No one better cause a scene, it's two guys last night tonight and they shouldn't go out during a massive argument!" Tyrone ordered firmly. 

We left room joining the tops downstairs by the pool, Hayden, Andres and Alfie stood before everyone while we all sat around the fire. It was silent for a while until Sam's phone bleeped.

Islanders, you had your chance to have your say and now it's time for the public to have theirs. The first boy to be eliminated from the villa is... Andres.

Everyone was shocked and gasped as Andres hangs his head in disappointment. "No! Andres is my coming in buddy!" Corey called looking sad. Just as everyone was getting up to hug Andres, Hugo's phone beeps and he starts to speak. "Wait!" He yelled.

The second islander to be eliminated is... Alfie.

Hayden sighs with relief before he turns around giving Alfie a hug. Everyone seemed shaken with the news and suddenly Andres phone bleeped.

Andres and Alfie, your time in the villa is over. Please pack up your things and make your way to the door, a jeep will be waiting to pick you up.

The tops started to hug Alfie and Andres, slowly going inside to help them pack. Andres takes me to one said to say goodbye. "I just want to say. It was great meeting you, I want to be honest and say I would have liked to have dated you had I of been given the chance". "Andres that's so sweet" I reply giving him a hug and a little kiss on the cheek. "Will you look out for Corey for me?". "Of course, I get it. You guys came in together, your both buddies". He smiled slowly walked inside the villa.

I opened the door to the bathroom to find Alfie alone. "Oh hey, I was just getting my toothbrush," he told me. "So... Where is next for you?" I asked politely. "I don't know, wherever I'm taken I guess. I wouldn't have minded getting to know you a little more to be fair. I don't think we got that close" Alfie said as he came a little closer to me. "Yeah well, maybe on the outside" I replied politely. "Maybe I could steal something before I go?" Alfie asked as he pulled me into his arms, "What about Colin?" I asked leaning away from him. "What about him?" He smiled and leaned in for a kiss. I was shocked and pulled away from the kiss. "Oh my god, Alfie please!" I screeched as I walked out the bathroom leaving Alfie looking disappointed. 

I didn't have much time to think about what a sleazy move that was on Alfie's behalf, clearly he wasn't that interested in Colin. But I knew I couldn't tell Colin that, he's been hurt enough today but clearly Alfie leaving will do him good. 

I joined everyone outside as George and Corey helped load the jeep with the islanders luggage. "Well everyone, it's been fun these last few days. Your all amazing" Andres told us as he stepped into the jeep. "We will miss you!" I called as the other islanders clapped and cheered for him. Alfie then stood next to the jeep and spoke, "I know I'll miss some of you more than others and vice versa but I have had fun here and I will miss it" he told us as some of the tops hugged him before Colin gave him a quick kiss goodbye. After he turned to sit next to Andres in the jeep. 

The two started to slowly pull away, everyone watched them drive off into the distance. 

Soon people walked back inside in silence and started getting ready for bed, I noticed that Corey who was sharing a bed with Andres who was now going to be sleeping alone. That also meant Tyler would also be alone in his bed too. Everyone was undressing and climbing into bed when Hugo came out from the bathroom with a text.

Islanders, tomorrow there will be a recoupling. The bottoms will choose which tops they want.

Everyone suddenly paused and exchanged looks between each other. "Are we all happy with our current partners?" Tyrone asked. "Not necessarily because that would mean Corey and Tyler would have to couple up. What if they didn't want to do that?" Sam pointed out. "Let's be serious, me and Matt are openly not together" Colin pointed out. "Me and Hugo are having a blast but we are more friends aren't we?" George said looking at Hugo who nodded in agreement. "I'm sorry guys, I guess I'm nervous. I assume tomorrow is going to shake things up" Tyrone replied as he climbed into bed with Sam. 

Hayden cuddled up to me in bed, "I'm glad we're ok" he told me as he kissed me on the head. I smiled but I remained silent. I didn't know what I wanted, Hayden is a great guy who was really good looking. However, he seems quite soppy and friendly around me, he can come across confident in public from time to time but it's not often, like when he did the magic mike moves on me. However, if I was telling the truth to myself, I was starting to see Hayden as more of a sexy friend than a sexy lover. 

If I did break up with Hayden tomorrow, who would I go with? Corey is attractive but I don't know him that well, plus he's aware I always preferred Andres to him in the looks department. George was no more than a friend to me and always has been. Sam was out of the question. That only left Matt, we have history and we are both passionate about each other. Recently, it seems like something is going on between him and Tyler which I find incredibly disrespectful considering it seems something happened or started at the last recoupling when Matt made a huge speech about losing me. He couldn't have meant it if he got off with Tyler shortly after. Tyler is also my best friend in the villa, the fact he would even consider doing that to me is hurtful. I wouldn't want to couple up with Matt knowing there is a chance he would cheat on me with Tyler. This would leave me back to sticking with Hayden.
