Adrienne POV
Today is the day at hindi ko pa din alam kung paano siya irereject. For God sake he is my best friend and that is what frustrates me more.
Wala ako sa sarili simula hanggang matapos ang klase. Masayang nag uusap ang mga kaibigan ko habang ako’y nakatitig sa huling message niya sa akin “Tatawagan kita mamaya” .
I need someone who can help alam ko kung sino iyon pero pero --------
“Adrienne? Adrienne? Saka lang ako bumalik sa aking sarili dahil sa biglang pagtawag sa akin ni Jasmin .
“Are you okay? You seem lost? Tanong nito sa akin.
“No, I’m fine. Sorry guys but I need to go somewhere” Hindi ko na sila hinintay pang makasagot.
Agad akong tumakbo papuntang Student Council. I need to talk to her. I need her help badly. Wala pang limang minuto ay nakarating na agad ako sa SC Office, agad pumasok but to may disappointment walang tao dito.
Natawa nalang ako ng pagak ,I rush here without thinking kung nandito ba siya. I was about to walk out when someone opened the door. It was her.
“Oh, yung came first, this is the first time na may nauna sa akin” sabi nito. “Umuwi na pala so Breeze kaya tayong dalawa muna ngayon. Dagdag pa nito.
Naupo muna ako habang nag iipon ng loob para kausapin siya.
“Sage” tawag ko dito.
“Hmmm?”
“Sa tingin mo babalik pa yung freshman din kahapon?” sh*t hindi yun ang dapat kung sabihin.
“He said, he’ll be back tomorrow.. So I bet he’ll be here.” sagot naman nito.
“ Here, I think you need this” sabi nito sabay abot sa isang cup of tea.
“Thank you but you really don’t need to do that” nahihiyang sagot ko dito.
“If you have something in mind, you can talk to me. I’m a good listener.” ganun na ba ako ka obvious.
Flashback.
“Happy graduation Adrienne!” masayang bati nito sa akin.
“Happy graduation din Hendy” nakangiting bati ko din dito. He smiled back then stared at me intently.
“Adrienne,I’ve been holding this for a while now and I want you to know that I - I like you so much - I want to pursue you” he confesses only then I can see the administration in his eyes. Ibang iba ang mga tingnin nito sa akin kumpara noon.
“You don’t have to answer now, but I’ll be patiently waiting”.
I waited for my heart to react but nothing happened, this is not what I expected it to be. I expected my heart to beat so fast upon hearing a confession., I expected that I would feel love but nothing happened. I was there standing like nothing happened.
End of flashback
“I see, he really likes you. A man wouldn’t wait for that long kung hindi siya seryoso sayo. You should be honest with yourself and to him as well,he really lov -- - .
“I’m planning to turn him down,” I interrupted her. I didn’t feel anything when he confessed and it’ll be unfair for him. I don’t think I might be able to fall in love with anyone” I told her, I can see the amazement in her eyes pero kung gaano kabilis ito nagpakita ay ganun din kadali nitong naitago.
I was about to question her nang biglang mag ring ang phone ko. It was him. I looked at her and she smiled at me.
“Just be honest with him, if he really loves you, then he’ll understand you.”

“Adrienne?”
I was about to answer him when Sage got up and held my hands firmly. Her hands were giving me assurance that everything will be okay.
“I’m sorry”, yung lang sinabi ko. I expected him to be furious but he was calm as before.
“Thank you” yung lang ang narinig ko sa kanya bago nito binaba ang tawag.

Hawak pa din ni Sage ang mga kamay ko habang nakatingin sa labas.
“Thank you, Sage” sabi ko dito. Hindi ako nito sinagot pero she press her hands to mine na parang sinasabing bang “you’re welcome” I can feel her hands started to feel cold. I look at her at hindi ko mabasa ang mukha nito.
“This is the first time I’ve met someone like me” sabi ko sa kanya. I was about to pull my hand from her pero agad ako nitong hinila palapit sa kanya.
“Hindi ako kagaya mo Adrienne” this is the first time she called me by my name
“Anong ibig mong sabihin?” tanong ko dito
“I’m not like you because I think I'm might fall for you.
