Valerie raised an eyebrow.

She was disgusted by this mother fucker and waste of space of a human being.

The bastard should just die.

Nathan looked at her and Skyler and asked, "can I join you as well?"

Both Valerie and Skyler replied together.

"Yeah sure."

"I don't think it will a good idea," Valerie said however when she heard Skyler's reply she clenched her fists and glared at him and Skyler swore he has never ever seen a woman give him such a deadly glared before, if looks could kill then he would six feet under the ground, that's how dangerous she looked.

Nathan raised an eyebrow when he heard that, he can sense that Valerie did not like him, and he also guessed that Valerie was really arrogant, being someone privileged, with one look at her clothes and her appearance he can tell that she comes from a well to do family.

And he thought that she was just arrogant because she was rich and he hated that, he these bitchy and mean girls, who think that they are above everyone just because they have wealth and what not.

And the fact that she dared to look down on him! The future Alpha of the pack was really annoying.

However instead of being angry, Nathan, for some reason found her really amusing. He crossed his arms over his chest and said, "Valerie Hale, do you know who I am?"

Valerie looked at him and Skyler was worried for her now, he know that Nathan can be really cruel if he gets angry at someone and he didn't want Valerie to get hurt or something so he tried to ease the situation, "Let it slide, Nathan she is new here and she will get familiar soon, why don' you-"

"I know who you are, Nathan Williams," Valerie said in a loud and clear voice, shocking them both.

Nathan was always referred to as alpha by everyone. When referring to him everyone would look down with respect, but Valerie looked him straight into the eyes and called out his full name!

Nathan's eyes slightly widened when he heard his full name in her mouth. This woman was different than the others.

"I know that you are the next in line, you are going to be the next alpha in a few days."

Nathan smirked, "oh so you do know it's good to know that! And Valerie, since I am the next alpha, you should give me respect."

"I am sorry, but from where I come from, respect is earned and you are the next in line of the alpha. You are not yet the alpha! When you become one, I will definitely bow before you as an obligation." And not respect, that was what everyone understood.

Nathan's eyes twitched when he heard that who the hell was this woman and why did she think that she was above everything?

Who gave her the right to be so high and mighty in his territory?!"

Nathan said, "I am sorry for that, but from where I come from, you are born with respect."

Valerie gave him a smile, "that's why you take it for granted and lose it even before you become an adult and step in the real world! What everyone shows you is not respecting its fear and obligation, because if they don't they know you are going to come after them! Anything given to you for granted is nothing in front of something that you have hardly earned."

Okay, so now Nathan was pissed. He was glaring daggers at her and looked like he was going to beat her , he took a step before her but she was not intimidated. Her hate and anger were bigger than fear and anything/

Skyler stepped in between them and looked at Nathan with a smile, "Just let it go Nathan she is new here, let it slide. I will tell her not to do that again."

He said and Nathan just looked at Valerie, who hadn't even moved from her place. She stood her ground and stared at Nathan without an ounce of fear in her eyes.

Nathan sighed and said, "since you are new here, I am going to let it slide just this once, but I am your alpha and I demand respect."

Valerie smirked, "Respect is not a candy that you get when you demand, what you have to earn is 'Alpha', and the day you earn it I will bow my head willingly before you! And I am not new here, I just don't live here."

Skyler just grabbed her hand and took her away from there.

Nathan just started her making holes in her head with his gaze.

She had his attention now.

Valerie smirked at that.

Once they had come far enough, Skyler turned to her and glared at her, "Have you lost it, Valerie? What was that over there? He is the f*****g alpha and you have to respect the alpha. If you had made him even angrier, he could have had you punished. Why are you so hellbent on putting yourself in danger?!"

Valerie sighed and looked at him, "I am sorry for making you worried like that, but did I say something wrong, Skyler?"

Skyler became quiet for some time before he said again, "even if what you said was not wrong, you have to see the time and place and the person with whom you are talking. You should be glad that Nathan is a rather cool-headed alpha and not someone like a tyrant or else he might really make your life."

Valerie smiled bitterly at the irony and looked at him, "I can take care of my self Skylar, I am not someone weak who he can easily bully!"

"That's not the point the point is that he is the alpha and he is clearly stronger than you-"

This made Valerie pissed as she scoffed and said, "Excuse me?~ did you just call me weak?!"

Skylar rolled his eyes. "That's not what I meant, what I meant was that-"

"That I am weak because I am a woman, that I am a damsel in distress and I should not make him angry since he is the alpha and can kill me, huh! And I should f*****g respect him for not killing me for doing the bare minimum of doing something that a decent living creature does!

And respect him for not killing me for no reason! Not giving in to his psychopathic tendencies! You are like him, if that's what you mean."

"Why are all the women so opinionated?! You should at least listen to what I am saying! You are weaker than him not because you are a woman, but because he is the alpha and even an average male in our pack is weaker than him!

It's not about gender, it's about power, position, and the class that you are assigned at birth! But no you women have to make everything about yourself and make yourself the victim! But hey news flash it's not like that not everything revolves around you."

Valerie just glared at him and scoffed before Skylar sighed and looked to the other side, the two said nothing for a while before Valerie started to walk in another direction and Skylar looked at her before quietly following her.

Halfway through the walk, Valerie said, "I am sorry.... I was just really mad at him and took it out on you, but he has to understand that just because he is an alpha, he has done nothing to make himself special."

Skylar sighed and put his hands into his pockets as he said, "what can we do about it, he is the alpha whether he has done some thing special or not, it's his right since birth."

Valerie rolled her eyes, "that's stupid, like really, really stupid."

"I know well enough about him. Tell me about yourself. How long are you going to stay here?"

"I am going to stay till I completely ruin my father, his wife and his stepdaughter, shred them apart, and rip them to pieces."

Skylar did not expect this answer, and he was at loss of words and from Valerie's words and expression. It was clear how much this woman hated her family.

And Skylar does not blame her at all but the fact that she was really vocal with him about her dislike and hate for her family was just very amusing to him.

He laughed, "but that's going to take time."

Valerie shrugged, "I know that and I also know that good things come to those who wait and I am a very patient person and besides it will be fun to see them all slowly getting ruined.

"But during this time are you going to keep on practicing magic?"

Valerie slowed down and blinked twice before she gave a small nod to Skylar, "I am not going to give up on magic since it is the only way I can get stronger."
