"Thanks for that." Valerie said as she looked at him with a smile.
Skyler looked back at her, 'are you alright?" he asked.
She nodded, and Skylar spoke, 'it's good then, where are you going though?"
"On a walk."
Skylar nodded," Mind if I join you?"
"Sure, I have no problem," she said and started to walk ahead and Skyler was by her side, and she started to talk, "that day you left so suddenly you didn't even tell me, you should have met my godmother."
Skyler smiled, "I wanted to tell you that I was leaving and I had called you many times and then I went to the basement, and you so focused on practising your magic so I did not disturb you and decided to leave just like that besides I had to arrive at the pack soon."
"Oh I see no worries then." She said and walked ahead.
"Would you like to go to the woods for walk?" he asked out of nowhere and Valerie smiled before she nodded, "yeah sure why not. it's has been nearly a decade since I have been to the woods of the pack."
Skyler smiled as they walked ahead and went ahead win the wood and just as she had thought she was loving the woods, huge trees dampy and uneven ground covered with grass and sound of insects everything was calming.
"So how was the meeting with your father?"
Valerie smiled and told him everything for some reason she trusted him her gut feeling was right about him, she felt comfortable with her and she never felt alerted when she was near him.
By the time she was finished Skyler was laughing and she was laughing as well, "I know I am being petty but I am enjoying it a lot it was so much fun and I have to do this because if I don't they are not going to stop."
Skyler nodded, "I understand they had it coming and they deserved it you did nothing wrong and congratulations on getting your room back."
"Thank you very much." she said and then Skyler spoke, "so how long are you going to stay here?"
Valerie looked at him and said, "I don't know. " she wanted to live here till she ruined Jasmine, and killed her, till she made Beth suffer and make her life till she makes her father regret till she kills Nathan.
She was not going anywhere anytime soon and so she said, "perhaps six months or maybe a year. who knows."
Skyler laughed, "wow really? I thought you hated your father. How are you going to live with him that long?"
"I will see somehow," she said and she also has to talk to Maya about it, since Maya was ready for her college and everything and she might get worried or upset by this.
As she was walking lost in her thoughts she suddenly stepped in a hole and stumbled back, "Woa...."
"Watch out" Skylar said as he grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him preventing her from falling to the ground.
Valerie was confused now she didn't know why Skylar had this effect on her why was it that every time he touched her she felt her heart skip a beat.
"Be careful will you." Skylar said to her and she blinked as he looked at him before she stood straight and said, "yeah thanks."
Skylar was looking at her, he didn't know but he was attracted to this woman, from the first time he met her he thought that she was interesting she was different and that she was unique.
Skylar wanted to know more about her. He wanted to learn more about her and ever since he had came back he couldn't stop thinking about her.
She was on her mind all along.
And he also thought about her learning magic, if she would continue that then she would have to leave the pack soon.
And for some reason, he didn't want that.
The two said nothing for a while and continued their walk before they heard another voice, "now what do we have hear."
Valerie froze at her place once she heard that voice, her heart stopped her work stopped and she felt like her breathing stopped as well, she felt as if her lungs were punched.
That disgustingly familiar voice of a disgusting person, whom she hated with her whole heart.
She didn't even turn around only Skylar and by his expression, it was clear that he was not happy to see that man at all, "Hello Skylar."
Nathan came close to them and stood before Skylar, "I thought that you were resting, but here you are on date."
"We are not on date Nathan."
"Oh is that so? sorry my bad," he said and then looked at Valerie who still hadn't turned around to see him and so he said to her, "and who might this be?"
Valerie clenched her fist, as she chanted in her heart, "don't be scared, don't be scared, don't be scared."
Skylar was going to answer for her but before he could Valerie turned around and looked at Nathan and said in a confident and loud and clear voice, "My name is Valerie Hale. And as you heard him we are not a date."
Nathan raised a brow as he looked at her, her fierce and shape gaze her cold look her posture intrigued him as he smirked,"Valerie Hale I have never seen you round before."
"That's because I do not live in the pack I live with my godmother in Nolani."
"I see and how do you know Skylar?"
" I found him wounded in the woods and took him with me to help me."
She answered every question calmly without breaking the eye contact even once, Nathan stared at her and she stared back at him both of them were in a staring competition before Nathan finally broke the eye contact and smirked, "Interesting."
