Dark Desire

Chapter One

1,000 years later

    Luv groaned as the High Priest of the First Level of Heaven, made her and five other angels fly another lap around his castle. The first few hundred times were alright, but after a thousand, she and the other angels were aching and their wings and back were sore. 

    A High Priest is an angel lord that rules under God. There’s only one High Priest or Priestess in charge at a time. If the Priest/Priestess were to die, another angel would be chosen to take their place. The decision was random so any angel could be chosen, no matter their past. No angel would willingly volunteer for such a job. 

    The Priest/Priestess is in charge of seven elite generals and their armies of two hundred First Level Angels, also known as Warriors of Heaven. They have some similarities to second-tier angels, but angels are the Guardians of Second Level Heaven. God gave each elite general seven angels as a gift for giving him their love. Angels are beings who don't have free will. But the seven angels gifted to each elite general were given free will. The sent ones are born with free will. They were at first created, but now they are born.

    and the others, however, were not with their designated army.

    The High Priest, Jamanice, had approached Luv's general, Salvador, and requested six of his best warriors. Salvador chose Luv (an angel), and five warriors, Jake, Thorin, Jamiela, Sierra, and Sierra's twin sister Savannah.

    "Jamanice can we please take a-ow!"

    Luv pinched Jake's wing before he could finish talking. For the past hour, he's been begging for Jamanice to let them take a break and Jamanice only added fifty more laps as a response. The warrior was cute with his unique pink eyes and snow-white hair, but he can be a pain in the ass. 

    "Keep your damn mouth shut Jake." Luv snarled. 

    "But my wings are killing me." He whined.

    "They won't be the only ones killing you if you open your mouth again."

    That got Jake to shut up and Luv sped ahead. Jake is a big guy but Luv is faster and a better fighter and could have him on his ass in ten seconds. She was also very much so stronger than him.

4 hours later

    Jamanice shook his head at the sight before him. The chosen six were on the ground moaning and groaning in pain. Weak creatures. He's seen many things but this, this was an astonishing sight and he's seen many things in his 39,000 years of living.  Jamanice had the appearance of a sixty-year-old man. He had grey hair, wrinkles, and dull blue eyes. But appearances can be deceiving. Jamanice was the most powerful Priest alive and could kill anyone if he wanted to. 

    He snapped his fingers and they all looked up at him. "Look at you. You're pathetic. If you don't get your act together and actually try then you will fail at this rescue mission." 

    Luv stood and approached Jamanice. Luv was the same height as Jamanice. Standing at exactly '6'2" 1/2, Luv was a massive female with gold hair, light brown skin, golden wings, and a curvaceous body. She emitted power and confidence and was the best fighter Jamanice knew. Jamanice wasn’t at all phased by her size when he’d met her. All guardians were large in size. The shortest being a young female standing at 6’0”.

    "Who are we rescuing again my lord?" Her voice was tainted with a thick Russian accent, due to her once being stationed in the section of the second level located near Russia. 

    "You are rescuing an angel from the third level of Heaven. You must bring him home, preferably alive." 

    She c****d her head to the side. "How was he taken? You never told us." 

    Jamanice gave her a stoic look. "And I can't. The information on Michael's kidnapping was never given to me." 

    Luv sighed. "Okay, so the archangel Michael was taken?" Jamanice nodded and Luv sighed. “Very well then." She then walked away, back to the others.

    Jamanice felt pity for the girl. She had few breakdowns caused by the loss of her archangel lover Gadreel, Gabriel's twin brother. He was the best fighter and was transferred to the army of disgrace after the lesser archangel beat the keeper of the Garden of Eden to a bloody pulp due to his severe mistake. Luv was a healer guardian working under the order of Auriel, the Lioness of God. 

    She was assigned to Gadreel to help him control his temper. She succeeded in helping him and a strong bond was forged between them and they became best friends and lovers. No one truly knows what happened to Gadreel and his team of warriors. The only thing anybody knows is that Gadreel and the warriors went into to hell but never came back. All have accepted that they are dead but some are still affected by it. Luv decided to join the army of disgrace to honor the memory of her fallen angel.

----------The Next Day---------

    "Gadreel look!" Gadreel wrapped his arms around Luv's waist from behind and gazed at the descending sun. 

    "It's beautiful isn't it?" Luv asked. 

    Gadreel nodded. "Yes but I've seen something that's more beautiful." 

    She turned in his arms and stared into his eyes. "What?" 

    He smiled and placed a gentle kiss against her lips. "You"

    "Luv? Luv?!" Luv jolted awake and looked at Jamiela. She then looked around and realized she was in her cloud. 

    Luv noticed that Jamiela had armor draped over her body and her white robe was as black as night. Her black hair was pulled into a ponytail and her chocolate brown eyes were filled with anxiety and her chocolate arms were hidden by braces.

    Realization slammed into Luv and she ran to her drawer. She pulled out her white robe and put it on. She concentrated and black battle armor appeared on her body along with matching braces and armored boots and a black helmet appeared on her head. At the top was white fur that looked like hair and it trailed down her back, the piece that covered her face was a black indestructible glass, and the rest was black metal.

    She looked at Jamiela and saw she had on her helmet as well. She gave her a stiff nod and they flew up and out of her cloud and headed to Jamanice's castle.
