I decide to go to the bathroom which is the farthest from my class, hoping that when I get back Eric and Jenna have finished talking about Prom. The back of our school is directly adjacent to the Pepperwell forest, even though there is a guard rail but in certain parts it has been damaged. The few kids who wanted to smoke or skip classes usually did so while hiding in the Pepperwell woods.
The fresh morning air and the scent of the trees greeted me asI came out of the hall of the main building. There wasn't anyone in the backyard this morning, but usually a few kids who had skipped classes were hanging out under the Oak tree. I walked towards the bathroom slowly, enjoying the sound of the trees rustling in the wind from a distance.
