Even though I didn’t want Nick to have a connection to the outside world, I have to do this – I need to make him record a voice message that I could send Drake. Basically Nick should say something like he went on vacation and that he doesn’t want to be disturbed and that he would call back after the return. Of course I wouldn’t trust Nick to just normally call Drake and tell him that, I would be worried he would say he is being held captive.
So, the voice message will be safer, because we can do more than one take and then send Drake the best version….

OH MY GOD, I am losing my patience with Nick. He’s acting like a total jerk today. We’ve been recording the message for more than an hour now… actual several messages… So many takes I don’t even want to count them. He’s useless and I don’t really understand why… Is he messing it up on purpose? Or is he just really that bad of an actor? He once or twice said the wrong reason why he wasn’t answering, one time he introduced himself as Nicholas and I know that he doesn’t use his full name and nobody calls him that… Other times he sounded really nervous and sometimes he overcorrected and sounded super drunk instead. “Ok, Nick, please, something in between. Normal voice, come one, once more, “ I encouraged him, turned on the recording and get the phone closer to Nick’s face, so he can talk into the mic.
It was better this time, but then everything was ruined again, when the phone beeped. Nick froze for a moment there, so I decided it would be better to start over. I turned the phone back to me and you won’t believe what was ‘the beep’ about… It was a text message from… that stupid b***h Kirstie! Are you f***ing kidding me? I really thought she’s out of the picture already. I don’t need to deal with her! Plus, she just HAD TO write him now? Any other day I would just delete the message, but now… maybe he saw something….

Finally I know what happened to my phone – Vanessa has it. She probably thinks it’s a good idea, so that she can control who’s calling me, but no, no, no. It would be better to have it turned down or better yet – throw it away, so it doesn’t lead the cops right to her… She’s making mistakes and I am so happy! Whenever I am alone, I have to smile because of this. She’s gonna get caught!
And maybe really soon, because Drake is already onto something. According to Vanessa, he texted me something and called too, but that’s unfortunately everything I know now. She left out all the details and she didn’t show me the messages, but I could tell she was scared. “WHAT DID YOU TELL HIM?” She kept screaming at me, but I was smart enough to lie and I didn’t mention anything about checking her fingerprints.
Now, she wants to mislead Drake, so she’s making me to record a message about me being okay. According to her version I am enjoying myself somewhere on the Hawaiian beach, not worrying about a thing. But I am not making it easy for her, because I hope that my mistakes will create more time for Drake to find me… At least I hope he’s looking for me.
“Hi there, big boooosss. How are ya? Me? Fine grande, enjoying first vacation in many years. Don’t bother me with work now, ok? I’call ya, when I return…. Or if return, hahaha,” I said, when Vanessa got the phone under my nose once more. She gave me a piercing look. “Are you kidding me, Nick? That sounds like you are totally wasted.” I asked, if that’s a problem… “You know that I always enjoy a good drink.” She sighed. “Maybe… But you need to tone it down at least a notch, okay?” I nodded and we tried recording again, but you would never guess, who texted me right in that moment! It was Kirstie. I quickly read the message, luckily it was short, so I made it just in time. “Hey there, I’m single now. Still wanna C me?”
Yeah, I couldn’t help but smile a little bit. Kirstie’s into me. Cool. But then I realized where I am again… And that I couldn’t even possibly answer her, because I am all tied up by a crazy lady. That’s unfortunate, really. I guess our timing isn’t the best :D.
I tried to act like nothing happened, but Vanessa saw right through me. She asked, why kept that b***h texting me… her words obviously. “What, who do you mean? I didn’t see the text, I couldn’t read it in this light…” I tried to lie, but she knew I was bluffing. “Don’t play dumb, Nick! It was Kirstie and you know it. Are you still f**ing with her?” She started to get very angry really quickly, so I had to calm her down somehow, before she would hurt me. “Ok, ok, you’re right, I saw it was her, but I didn’t see what it was about. I mean, the last time I saw her was that fashion show… I can swear, if you want. Since I met you, I didn’t have any kind of i*********e with her. And lately I haven’t even left the house, as you know, so how would I meet her or contact her?”
“Oh, go to hell, is this a statement on a police station, or what? Talk to me like a normal person, will you?” She said and I only nodded and stayed silent, because otherwise I would say to her something like: ‘What do YOU know about normal? You are a psychopath…’ But that would probably piss her off even more.
After a while I told her that I didn’t care about Kirstie anymore, at all… (not true, of course) and that it didn’t matter because she was involved with someone else and didn’t have feeling for me. (I know, she’s single now, but Vanessa had to think I really didn’t read that message…)
“All right, let’s not talk about that skank anymore. I will just delete the text and her number from your phone, okay?” Vanessa suggested and waited for my reaction. I didn’t want her to delete the number, but I couldn’t admit that, it would be too risky. So I agreed…
But then I noticed something. I was looking carefully at what she was doing… and listening. Vanessa was typing something… I think she didn’t really delete it. I think she might have answered Kirstie instead. That’s not good!

Ok, ok, disaster averted, at least I think so. I managed to convince Vanessa to forget about Kirstie and focus on the message for Drake again. I was still trying to stall her by making mistakes during the recording, but I didn’t want her upset, so I pretended that I was slowly getting better. Then I complained about being hungry. “I am really sorry that I keep messing things up, but my brain just doesn’t work without food, you know that…” She hesitantly nodded. “Ok, I’m going to make you a sandwich. And we’ll continue later.”
So, I got me some time to think. Maybe she’ll let me a little bit loose to eat… Maybe I could try to do something. But what can I do with one hand? Hurt Vanessa, maybe… a BIG maybe, because she’s smart and really careful. And even if I managed to hurt her, it wouldn’t help me escape. And nobody knows where I am… And I am not even sure someone is looking for me…
Probably it’s gonna be better just to wait for now.. But I have to make sure that Vanessa will leave Kirstie alone and won’t try to find her and ‘destroy the competition’. I am not sure what she’s capable of, but I am worried.
So, my goal is clear – try to encourage Vanessa to stay here with me. For as long as possible. I have to keep her busy here and I can’t let her go outside… CAN’T let her go to the city, CAN’T get her out of my reach, because that could mean trouble for Kirstie. I have to make sure that Kirstie doesn’t pay for my mistakes…

Oh my god, Nick is a sweetheart. He’s suddenly so sweet, nice and obedient. It’s amazing and I am really enjoying it. It’s great to spend time with him knowing he really wants to spend it with me too. Last night he didn’t want to let me go the sleep, can you imagine? He begged me to stay with him, so we’ve been talking almost all night and we even cuddled a little bit. I didn’t get much sleep obviously, only a little, when I dozed off with my head on his shoulder. So today won’t be easy, but it was totally worth it. It was amazing and magical night and I hope that I’ll get even more nights like this. I wonder how Nickie’s gonna be like today… And if he’s gonna enjoy my breakfast for him. I made him pancakes again, but this time with blueberries in it. So, let’s hope it will taste good, because I’ve tried this for the first time…

Oh my god, that jerk Nick! I can’t believe I fell for this comedy of his. All that time I thought he’s really changed and that he’s finally determined to make this thing between us work, but no – he’s still the same cheating bastard as always. If I didn’t have him all tied up, he would be probably chasing that Kirstie or another skank.
He was trying to fool me! Could you believe it? Ok, I will start from the beginning. He ate his breakfast and then he claimed he didn’t want to be alone. He didn’t even want me to go do the dishes and when I said I had to go get some groceries and milk, because I’ve already used all of it, he started begging me not to. I didn’t understand it at first, I kept explaining him: “But it’s important, I have to do some errands, but it won’t take too long, I promise…”
Nick then asked, how long I will be gone then, but he was still very hesitating… and then his phone beeped – a new text message came… And in that moment it hit me. I noticed a fear in Nick’s eyes. He kept looking at my left pocket… where his phone was… He was worried about that stupid Kirstie! Is that even possible? I would do anything for him, I’ve been caring for him every day and he still thinks about other women? But he’s gonna pay for that! And she will too. I just can’t let her to steal my boyfriend! Let’s arrange a date with “Miss Fashion Designer Stealing Boyfriends” and teach her some good manners…
