What could have been

As the rain fell on the battlefield of life and the afterlife, A skeletal reaper who rode upon the back of a skeletal horse trotted in what seemed to be triumph. Nothing but ash laid on the ground as he rode his horse through the eerie, dark, night. The reaper crossed into the space of life. A place where grass, flowers, and animals of all kinds flourished. The grass and flowers grew old and wilted as he walked upon the space of life, the animals soon after. This reaper was expanding the land of the afterlife. Claiming the fallen area in the space of life, as was the order of the almighty Phak. This war between the two stages of life went on for millennias, the war of old. It has gone on before that of Phak and Phanes, and will continue to do so... unless something changed. Ah, but I digress. The reaper, seeing as there was a wall flourishing with life, stopped and turned around. Knowing that the soldiers of life stood behind it, the reaper began to trot away from the wall and back to the land of the afterlife. Behind the wall, however, was a small tea party for the soldiers of life.
